Jay sighs before trying a bit more, "He....He...Lllll..... Hell..... P....."
((OOC: He's trying to say "help", but I'd like to see your reaction first to that, hopefully untainted by this OOC note....))

"Help?" Darian asks, "Is that what you're trying to say? I'll do what I can."
(OOC:It kinda looked like it was supposed to be "help".)

"I'll do what I can." Darian replies. "You seem to handle things pretty well but since you're asking for help I'll give what help I can."
Suddenly Gregory gives a tug on his rod. "I think I got one!" The eldest Moonleaf quickly reals in. "Bugger, got away."

"Ok, you hold the rod like this," Darian explains, shifting Jay's hands into the correct position, "And then you flip the bail." At this the elf points to the curved piece of metal running from one side of the reel to the other. "Finally, you cast." He moves Jay's arms to mimic the act of casting. "When you think you've got a bite tug the rod to set the hook and then reel it in."

The bluejay-elf frowns before twittering something to himself beneath his breath: 'No wonder I was having troubles....'
"Sss..... Sh......... eeerrr......" Jay forms the sounds as he tries to cast the rod, his first time fishing in elf form, "Ssshhh.... eeerrr.... Sure."
((OOC: You use a different kind of rod than I usually do. However, that's fine as it is Kitara who has that rod. Margem will have, once she gets one, the button kind, if you know what I mean.))

"That's good." Darian says as Jay casts. "Now just make sure to keep it away from the motor. Trust me, it's not pleasent when you get your line caught it the propeler."
(OOC:Actually, I usually use the button kind too. Much easier.)

Jay sighs and tries to cast again. This time it makes it about three feet from the boat.
((OOC: Okay, so this is getting a bit boring just fishing and learning how to speak.... Do you want to keep up with this thread, like this, or skip ahead a bit to show when they're coming in? Or what?))

(OOC:We should keep up with it for a bit longer.)

"Fish!" he smiles, pointing the fish out to Darian, "Darian, fish!"
