Distance: 13Roll: 1/5 Struggling didn't help any, she was still slowly sliding down to the base where the teeth waiting. There were some other hunters tired to get away from the pit but there wasn't a familiar face. She thought of Mimsy and Robert, and also the Prince that she newly made friend with, she hoped they were all safe. Was it the curse again? She didn't get too close to anyone besides those she believed were strong and could handle the problems. So if they were there, they would get out easily, she was the one who needed to be worried. Yes, she didn't want to be the burden of anyone, that's why she should save herself.
On the other hand, she looked around for Edgar because she knew he followed after her. He was a good guy and his hug was warm. She wished he was okay, she wanted to spend more time with him. It was a weird feeling because they just met for the first time a few hours ago.....
Nothing Yet Everything started when you pay attention at someone more and more?

God he needed an adult, an actual adult. "Of course you like him he's got the same stupid humor as you." He rolled his eyes as Arland hopped through the portal. "So how much you want to bet there's not a daisy field full of rainbows and unicorns on the other side?" < Hundred bucks you dont have?> "Yea and you'll win too." He shook his head before carefully stepping though the portal. The carefully bit didn't help any when a gust of wind knocked him off his feet into the sand. Scrambling for a hand hold he slipped a bit before stopping for a moment and thankfully skidding to a hault next to Arland. "...Sarlacc. The word you are looking for is Sarlacc. Tremors were giant worms with armor plated heads. That," He waved a hand as he pulled his scarf up over his face to stop some of the sand getting his mouth. "is a Sarlacc" Meters: 10/30

Cami was gone. She hadn't seen it, but Hanna had heard it. THe pit in her stomach deepened, and she was reminded of the same dread she had felt during her trials as one by one her friends were picked off, until she herself had succumbed. But that had been the trials. The deaths weren't real. And now? She pictured the girl with the bow who had bested her in a spar, the girl with blonde and pink hair who had helped her reenter Deus society... who else was lost? Hanna had very few friends to speak of; she couldn't afford to lose any of them. "Damnit," she hissed, biting back emotion. Survival was more important. Survive now, mourn later. Another Hunter, Nora, was next to her, offering support. Not the pods, she echoed in her mind. "Not the pods," she said again. "We can do this!" Hanna lifted her weapon to pull herself up further! ...instead, she tumbled backwards in a gust of wind and ended up dangling form the exact same dead body and tooth that she had hit moment ago. It even hit her on the same thigh, tearing away her makeshift bandage and opening up a deeper wound. "I should have grabbed some stupid bandages," she cursed aloud, clinging for dear life. Hanna is at 14 + 10 = 24 yards now.

"Can we debate about what this damn thing is when we're not being eaten by it?" He huffed, quickly glancing around again to see who he could or couldn't get eyes on. Inoke seemed to have himself pretty stable, but there were definitely some hunters that were struggling, along with some who were already gone if the bodies caught on teeth were anything to judge by. He summoned his weapon in one hand, holding on to the edge of a protruding fang with another before reaching the horseman's pick down to a girl he didn't recognize. "Hey! Grab on and I'll pull you up!"

Distance: 10 Jason saw the girl fall into the pit, shock written all over his face at the sight as well as the sadness that came with the face he had not been able to save her. It hurt, knowing he had only been a few meters away, and he had done nothing. When the remaining hunter nodded, he gripped hard on the scarf and pulled. Over the roaring sand he heard someone ask if he had a good hold. "Y-yes, I think so!" He just hoped the scarf wouldn't come undone. Thankfully it didn't, and he was able to yank the other hunter out of harms way. With his whispered thanks, Jason looked back sadly. "I'm...sorry I couldn't get her out too..." But at the every least, he had gotten someone out. He then turned to the one whom had shouted before, wondering just how she could be talking about watching star wars at a time like this. "...Sure thing, but You'll need to ask Mark, I'm pretty sure he's the guru on all things star wars." On that note, why wasn't he here helping them come up with a weakness or something?! As the other hunter shouted words of encouragement, he looked up and tigtened his grip on Zanthvos. "I s-should be fine here....for now..." As long as his sword didn't budge in the sand.
going to shut up and not listen to him anymore. "M-my names Jason." He said to both hunters. Because why not introduce themselves to each other before they all got swallowed up?

"Oh come on. You don't want to laugh in the face of danger this time?" He was used to Arland being more the gungh-ho 'whatever we wont die' sort rather than actually worried about debating creature names. Glad he had long arms for once he snagged a smaller tooth to try to pull himself up a bit. It didn't work of course since the mouth just shifted around them and he felt himself sliding closer to the center. <********..." Scrambling in the sand he tried to get a grip again to stop himself from going any further. This was -so- not cool. "Land! Little help here?!" Meters: 20/30 HP: 30/40

"Not the pods," Nora echoed with a nod, glad to see the girl was fighting. "Atta girl. You like peaches? I was thinking, once we get out of this I might make a few cobblers . . ." She started considering summoning her hammer to try and pull her in, but someone beat her to it with more success; this led to a brief, irrational moment of feeling competetive. Alright, Ravensgrove, third person had to be the charm; couldn't be debating this like it was choosing a meal!
"Oy, don't flail so much," she told the guy, stretching her arms out as best she could as she hung off the pole and extended her hammer out for him to grab, yanking him towards her a couple of meters. Beatrix made a mrring noise in her throat at the foreign contact, but Nora barely noticed under the circumstances. "You'll get sand down your gullet that way. Wouldn't that be a shame, escaping a monster only to die from swallowing sand?"
At least she felt a little better. Hannah got pulled in, so it was fitting she helped out her recuer's friend in compensation. Such teambuilding exercises.

Climbing on something that moved was hard, a step upward, several steps backward. It yielded no progress at all but she knew if she gave up, she didn't even get the chance to get out. So she uses Z as a support, but both of them sinking. Something caught her eyes and she reached for it, not missing any chance to get out this horrible swirl. The poor girl instantly screamed after realized what it was. "I am sorry!" She yelled as she released it, it was a body, rigid and cold, his eyes were widely opened with a shocked face. Did he see something horrible before he die? She felt sad to imagine he was once alive as she did. Please be safe, Mimsy, Robert and Edgar. Don't die, she crossed fingers in her heart.

Things were beginning to seem dire. Aside from the whole headless-body-with-vegetable-peeling thing, Hanna had failed to save the friend she convinced to come with her into this mess, fallen and cut herself on one thigh, and then fallen AGAIN to hurt herself worse on the same thigh. Hanna pressed her face closer to the sand, hoping to spare her eyes additional pain. She straddled the tooth and dead body, but feared that her moments outside of the mouth were numbered. Then, suddenly, a hooked blade shot out towards her -- but to save her. With a cry of relief, Hanna gripped the handle with one hand and quickly stashed Adelphe onto her back. Her other hand joined on. Hanna struggled at first, but used her legs to scramble/crawl herself up all the way to her New Savior. Once she was alongside the unfamiliar male, Hanna took Adelphe back into her hands and hooked her into the sand. It was a much stronger grip than she had had before. Her mouth was still muffled by her scarf, but she angled her face toward him, stealing a very painful glance. WHAT. This guy had FACE TATTOOS? Just like her. <3 A tiny bubble of adoration swelled in her. "You saved me," she said loudly. Then, a bit louder: "THANK YOU." There would be no more attempts to scrambled for now. Hanna rested her head against the sand, squeezed her eyes shut, attempted to catch her breath, and prayed to the sand gods that she had not been swallowed. It wasn't the way she imagined herself going -- not nearly enough glory in it. Maybe she would be able to get pie from Nora after all! Hanna is at 10 meters, thanks to a helping hand!

This was the moment were had he been wearing a hat he would have tipped it and made some sort of smooth comment about how helping a pretty lady was all in a day's work. He'd never been much for wearing hats, though, and this was definitely not the time for casual flirting anyways; not that brand of it, at least. "No problem!" He called back over his own scarf instead, pulling it down just a bit and regretting it as the sand kicked up again. "Name's 'Land. You ok?" It was such a stupid question to ask, but he was honestly more concerned about everyone's well being for once than anything else. This was just insane. And then he could hear Inoke calling but he couldn't actually see him until another hunter hauled him back up. Not safe, but a bit closer to being so. That was a plus, at least. [Still hovering at 10 meters]

A passing hammer, not Tividar, got in his way and he happily snagged it and pulled himself up the small distance. "That's what the scarf is for. Works wonders." He grinned even though the girl wouldn't be able to see it behind the green fabric. "Thanks. You new? Or i have I just not met you yet? Name's Inoke." He should at least introduce himself to his savoir. Even if it was still likely that everyone was going to get swallowed by the Sarlacc. Getting his feet under him for a moment he looked up the rows of teeth. "You okay up there Land?!" Meters: 16/30 HP: 30/40 Skye Starrfyre You're higher than me, no help there XD

"Don't chew over it, mate," she told newly named Jason, inserting a verbal back pat in lieu of an actual one. "Not the time. You got one, that's what matters. Hell, looks like we all did," Nora added with an encouraging look as she viewed their little ragtag group sticking it out. "That's six hunters it isn't getting. Damn good for some trainees, I'd say. Pie cobblers for everyone it is." They could mull over the lost later, when they weren't busy nearly dying.
She barked a laugh at Hannah's relieved shouting despite herself. "What sort've name is Land?" she had to ask "Mr. Hero", shaking her head in amusement. "Ah well, after things like Bix and Stormy, guess I shouldn't be asking. Nora Ravensgrove," she introduced herself to everyone (or re-introduce in Hannah's case). "Constable to you all if you like being formal. Squeaky clean new, Sun division, basement dweller, all that. Everyone still got a good grip on their partners then? Riding this out doesn't seem too hard so long as you make sure you've got an anchor."
It was the buddy system to the max.

Meanwhile Jack was completely floundering in the sand. Milo had been swallowed up and, as typical of heroes, had asked him to look after the Stormy clone as his probably-dying wish. And like all others who didn't bother to compare themselves to fictional concepts like heroes, he had failed to do so. Both of them were swallowed up before he could so much as get a fix on his proximity to the throat without sand obscuring his vision.
On top of that, Finn managed to get to relative safety rather easily.
Such was the torment of having an extremely long body: without momentum, one tug was enough to keep him down.
"Goddamn it," Jack grumbled as he forced himself to sand swim some more.

It was stupid to let it go she knew it, but she couldn't bear the agitation in her stomach, the coldness of the body in touch triggered traumatic past. She reached out in reaction and found it was another corpse, this time a female. Even the coat was rotten, she could make out the sun symbol barely on it. One of her eyes was bandaged and there were countless scars over her body.

A glance down made she realized how close she was from the teeth, instant screams and "help", the wind that blew at her with a blood smell. She knew she wasn't far from dying. Oddly, she was very calm, as if it should be something done from a long time. Yet, she missed them, everyone that she met with. The girl stuck in sand still tried to climb higher, but sinking made it so impossible. She watched as some slid down straightly into the mouth while some bodies floated around and knocked some hunters downward. Each of them was struggling like an ant in water, she didn't know what to feel instead of a unexplained fear that continued to haunt her. She climbed and being pushed down, as if someone was toying her but she didn't give up, not yet.
