A problem! Robert tried to look enthused by the question, but internally, he was struggling. Jezebel felt a glorious satisfaction at the knowledge that no matter how ridiculous he was acting, Robert was still Robert. A complete and utter idiot.
He knew the Mad Hatter would have been able to answer the question. He'd been so good at riddles. So clever.
He had to try.
"Nilly is taller than Dilly," He repeated, holding one hand up for a phantom Nilly's height, and one for Dilly's. "And Nilly is shorter than you." He compensated for that by moving both hands downward. But no matter how much he tried, it never worked. "Well now, I thought I was supposed to be the mad one."
I think you're pretty mad for trying to figure out that riddle using your hands. Jezebel offered helpfully.

The next tree she encountered didn't bother her at all, in fact the tree was quite fashionable. She lost herself for a few moments just enjoying the looks of the stripes covering the tree... If everything was going to be like this then she would welcome staying in this unusual world. It was... fashion forward.

Seal made a face but marched on to inspect a willow tree. "Hey." She ventured, even as the tree shook its head at her. "Hey look, I just wanted to-- OW!"
Instinctively, she whacked the tree right back with her claws, but she really doubted that she caused it much pain.

Having failed to discover the meaning behind the last trees riddle, Robert returned to the only tree that had given him the proper time of day, to try and convince him to reconsider.

While she enjoyed the stripes of trees, noting how they were not tiger trees and did not meow or roar, AoS kept to the task at hand. Until she saw a tree with blue and white stripes. She wondered it that one did sing. (And when she found it didn't she sighed. Silly as it was, a singing stripped tree would have been lovely)

After looking at the last tree for awhile Finitay moved onto the next and she was beginning to feel quite comfortable... this tree was covered in stripes too. What was the point in feeling fear when everything was so similar? There wasn't anything strange about this place at all... Okay, the talking teeth had been weird but since then.... meh!

The next tree made her want to chop it down. As she had started to notice some of these trees appeared to deserve some mixed treatment. What with one giving her directions that were nonsense and the other looking to make a fool of those who passed it. She didn't need to be told twice and walked past it with an expression that read "You probably deserved it". It was all growing so very tiresome.

Feeling much more confident than before, after at least half an hour of wandering from one tree to another to another... Finitay moved herself onto a fourth tree and there she nearly lost her composure for a moment. The tree spoke and it wanted her to play a guessing game... "Uhm... is it a leaf?"
The tree seemed to almost mock her with silence.
"Is it a seed?"
Again, with the silence.
Slightly frustrated now because what else would a tree own, "Is it an evening gown?"
The answer must have amused the tree because it's mouth opened and a tongue rolled out... offering Finitay a ... fragment?
Unsure of what to do she took the fragment and curtsied.

It was an unassuming tree stump. Technically, Briar_Rose supposed she really couldn't talk to a tree that had already been dead for a while, but with the environment she was in, she took no chances anymore.
"Um, hello...?" She knocked lightly on the stump. But after a few minutes without a reply, she left to find the signpost.

Trees were uncooperative, Seal decided, dusting her coat off. And yet, she had to continue with this quest.
...She found herself staring warily at a set of teeth sitting on top of the tree. "Who are you?"
"You seem a little lost", it said, "but not to worry. Everyone's quite lost here. I hope you find your way, there's so much more for you to get lost in."
"What?" As the question left her lips, the teeth vanished.
This was getting to be a pain.

7: You reach a tree stump and it isn't able to talk because it is a tree stump. It makes a great item for sitting though.
Cupcake was getting nowhere in this forest. First a mean tree, then a sad tree, then another angry tree, then the same stupid sad tree and NOW A STUMP. A STUMP. Cake threw her hands up in the air and groaned. "Thank goodness I'm done!" Cake stormed back to the stupid post to get her reward...which was...a level up? COOL. And another card to add to her deck. Maybe all those terrible trees were worth it...maybe...

Well at least it wasn't an actual tree. r3d stood in front of the stump and looked it over carefully. It didn't speak nor did it move. It wasn't covered in stripes either. With a shrug she turned and glanced around her. Wary as ever she stood motionless, listening to the sounds of the woods. It had her unnerved. There was nothing familiar about this place and it put her on edge, as if to expect an attack from anywhere. Moving away from the stump she shook her head and moved on her way.
It could have been 5 trees or 5000 and she would be thankful to be as far away from it as possible.
