The facility brought with it some interesting revelations, to say the least. All the medical records, at least from the two X-Men’s observations, seemed to be completely falsified. If they were following the logic of their initial mission, it made no sense whatsoever. But when on started thinking like a hunter, it made all the sense in the world. This entire operation was a scam, a ruse meant to fool them. Perhaps not the X-Men specifically, but anyone with a mind for rescuing otherwise helpless mutants. It was made for the Brotherhood, the Acolytes, the Marauders, X-Factor, perhaps even the bloody Four Horsemen. After all, where else to lay a trap than the very location meant for the capture and experimentation of their kind?

He nodded as Kat pointed out what he’d already been thinking, that this entire scam was meant for them. “It is quite an elaborate scheme,” he said when Kat pointed out the theatrics of the entire operation. “It is almost commendable.” Kat was clearly just as troubled by this as he was; perhaps more so. Some people were less comfortable with cages than others. “It makes perfect sense, dear,” he stated bluntly. ”We are the ones just foolish enough to take the bait.” Even if this entire thing was a trap, however, he did not wish to leave just yet; not without knowing for sure whether or not there were civilians to rescue.

Eventually, Julian transported the both of them to the holding cells. While there, they only stumbled upon a single prisoner. There was at least one civilian in need of rescue, it seemed, so this mission did not need to be entirely fruitless. Kat introduced the both of them as the prisoner enthusiastically tried to free himself from his bonds. He could understand the boy’s excitement, but he could not forgive stupidity and shortsightedness. When the boy threw the explosive-laden collar against the wall, Julian intercepted it gingerly. He pointed out the boy’s stupidity.Kat didn’t think it would have been so severe, but Julian knew firsthand what just a small amount of plastique could do, especially in such a small, cramped space. ”I still would have left you behind. I don’t need invalids slowing me down.” Of course, he would not actually do so- he was much too altruistic for such cruelty -but they did not need to know that.

”Just don’t let it happen again,” he said in response to Rykov’s half-hearted apology. Of all the ways the gentleman burglar could possibly die, he refused to let it happen because of teammates’ stupidity. If anyone’s stupidity were to get him killed, it would be his own. Without much warning, he unceremoniously teleported them all away even as Kat spoke to her communicator. He wanted to be out of there immediately with their civilian if their revelation happened to be true.

It was then that a rather large aircraft appeared in the sky, and not more than a few moments later, the entire facility and its immediate area were surrounded by some kind of energy barrier. Katerina quickly explained the situation to Leo, and even went on to threaten Rykov. ”There is no time for that nonsense now, Kali. If he is a part of this we can give him the brazen bull later. For now we just need to get out of here.” He thought of teleporting the team in pairs out of there, but he knew there was a chance that they would prepare for teleporters. Nonetheless, he decided to test his luck on his own. If he ended up failing, there was no sense in endangering everyone else. Again, without warning, he disappeared in a puff of smoke. He reappeared not too far from the team, but just within the interior of the dome, just close enough to the barrier to feel his hairs standing on end from the constant thrum of electricity. ”s**t,” he muttered under his breath. He’d meant to teleport beyond the barrier. He jogged back toward his team and shook his head in Leo’s direction. ”I cannot get us out of here.”

Leo asked him the million dollar question. He was thinking of attacking them head-on. Julian agreed with the sentiment but had a different idea of how to go about it. This was no longer the time for infiltration and espionage. This was the time for a direct assault with their biggest guns. Subtlety had had its day. ”I can only take two with me at once, but I cannot take anyone directly inside.” He had to be able to visualize where he was teleporting to, and he had never been inside a S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier. He’d seen plenty of pictures of what it looked like from topside, however.

An idea struck him as he looked up and saw the massive repulsor-based engines that kept the ship afloat. He looked back at Leo and said simply, ”I’ll be back.” He once again faded from sight, reappearing where the other half of the away team had been. He reappeared just in time to avoid Aurelie’s psychic shockwave. ”I am sorry to interrupt,” he said as he eyed the telekinetic’s injuries, any concern on his face hidden beneath his Venetian mask. He teleported next to Bella. ”I have an idea that is slightly suicidal, but will more than likely rid us of our troubles.” He drew the sword from its cane then, shoving the sheath into a loop in his coat. ”I need you, and possibly Playboy as well.”

Civilian Outfit: [Christ] vs. [Warhol]
Costume: [Live][In][Fear]

Eventually, their merry band made it outside toward the park, where a big floating portal awaited them alongside the X-Men’s resident Cajun card shark. Gambit took the kids with him, and Orchid lamented how they took away her human shields. It was meant in jest, sure, but that did not mean she couldn’t use them as actual human shields in a pinch. As long as she survived, a few dead kids did not really matter to her. If they were worth anything, they wouldn’t allow themselves to be used in such a way in the first place. Charlotte told her to remind her never to ask her to babysit, and Orchid could not help but smirk. ”Two things. One: Does this mean you’ve got a kid in the oven and are gonna be popping out rugrats sometime soon? Because I feel like we’ve met our quota for redheads on base. Two: What on Earth could have possibly ever crossed your mind to make you think that letting me babysit kids was a good idea?” As more and more Omegas arrived, however, she realized this was no longer time for banter.

Charlotte announced that they had incoming company, and immediately everyone went on to engage their targets. Roland went off on his own, while Orchid teamed with Magda to take down the rest of the enemy mooks. She handled herself well in taking out the first soldier, as well as pushing back the second, but the third one she still struggled with on the ground. She wrestled with the man for a while, holding up as a target for Magda to deal with. And Magda certainly did not disappoint. With a massive force blast, the b*****d was sent flying. With the hair wrapped tight around his various extremities, and the sudden blast of force from Magda, he likely pulled or broke more than a few things. She let go of the fallen soldier, sitting up on the ground. She looked in his general direction, smirking at the body of the now broken man, then disdainfully spit out a blob of saliva mixed with blood in his general direction. ”You worthless ******** sapiens should know your place.”

She took a breath, reaching toward her chest. She sighed in disappointment when she remembered that she wasn’t wearing her jacket, and therefore had no cigarettes to pull out of her breast pocket; the one drawback to such a skintight costume. Magda stepped toward her and reached out a hand. Orchid took her hand and allowed herself to be helped up. Her long tendrils of multicolored hair fell to her sides as she stood. The hair retreated in length, though stopped just long enough to reach past her own knees. It also went back to the pale blonde she’d had it as before. ”I’m fine,” she responded to Magda’s concern somewhat bitterly. She really did not like to get hit. Bruises looked doubly nasty on flesh as pale as hers. Magda pointed out that it was more than likely that two of them would not be coming after them, then pointed out the one that still had the ability to stand.

Orchid took a few steps toward that soldier. She then lifted her boot and kicked him in the side. And kicked him. And kicked him. And kicked him. And kicked him. After about the sixth kick, she stopped, savoring his whimpers. ”He won’t come after us. he’ll be too busy nursing his ribs.” She looked back toward the fallen last soldier that she and Magda had turned into a rag doll, then back to Magda. ”Okay, so consider your debt for those Smurf comments paid.” Honestly, she wasn’t entirely sure she would have made it out of that fight. She certainly would have many more bruises and cuts than she already had, that was for certain. If nothing else, Magda saved her from having to recover from that. She’d be back to her flawless self sooner. She suddenly reached toward Magda, pulled her close, and gave her a firm kiss on the lips, then pushed her away after a few moments.

”That was a freebie,” she said, and turned around, strutting toward the rest of the gathering Omegas. Magda asked if they were allowed to go back for pizza. ”Probably not.” She rubbed her jaw and the side of her face where she’d been hit. It was already sore, but it would probably be doubly so for a while. She rejoined the rest of the gathered Omegas, readying herself to defend the portal from any more potential threats. At this point they could not afford to get caught with their pants down. There were a few familiar faces, and a few more missing, as well as pretty enough stranger bickering with Charlotte. Their resident giant split away from them to look for their team leader. Apparently someone happened to lose the one member of the team it was almost impossible to ignore. How’d that happen?

She looked over toward Charlotte, the strange girl, and finally Roland. ”None of you happen to have a cigarette, would you?” It was a silly enough thing to ask for, given the circumstances, but for the current moment there was no immediate threat in the vicinity. She might as well smoke while she waited for more sheep to come to the slaughter.

                                        Name: Isabella Stone
                                        Location: MRD Facility
                                        Team: Alpha

Isabella watched Dimitri for a moment, not entirely sure if he’d understood her retort. Rather than elaborate, she turned watchful eyes back to the yard, enhanced hearing giving her the exact placement of incoming soldiers. She almost wished that she could have taken part in the teasing dialogue that went on behind her…But she didn’t have that luxury. She was responsible for the lives of every person that passed through the portal with her, and fully intended to make sure that the mission was a success. It felt impossible…

But they were X-Men. They ate, slept, and breathed impossible. She sighed softly when Playboy asked why some of the prisoners might not want to go with them. No doubt some of the others wondered as well… She knew how she felt about it personally, but it didn’t matter how she felt. If they forced any captured mutants to freedom, they would be no different than the people who locked them away in the first place. “It’s a matter of free will. We’re giving them the chance to make a choice that they might not have been given before. Anyone with an active X-Gene is considered a dangerous and possibly lethal threat to society. The government has ordered registration, or surrender. To disobey is to break the law…”

“The mutants that leave with us will be considered fugitives… They have to ask themselves if that’s a life they want. If they can deal with the consequences…”,
Isabella explained as thoroughly as possible, tone gentle, though firm. The X-Men didn’t know how lucky they were… They had the Professors to protect them, defend them, and house them when things got too scary. Most mutants were left to the mercy of others…

It was a frightening thought; to suffer so much hate and bigotry alone.

She subdued any soldier she got close to, keen ears picking up Aurelie’s mantra among the gunfire. ~It’s not a bomb.~, she reassured between tasks, feeling the world seem to grow thin and grey around her. Color drained away as she fell into the role of being the leader, taking point as necessary. Her group took care of anything that crossed their path, even after Forrest reported an oddity in the sky. “I’m not sure exactly what it is…”

“But no—It’s not a Sentinel. It would have attacked by now. It’s an air craft…Large… It could be the MRD…”
, she spoke after a moment of listening hard, but the sounds in the area were a little distorted, bouncing off of the hills that surrounded the holding center. The only thing she knew she heard for certain, was the sound of an engine. Several engines.

Unfortunately, she couldn’t focus any longer on the invisible mass that seemed to be coming closer. Immediate threats needed to be neutralized first. It wouldn’t matter what was coming, if they got shot to death in the interim. Raine affirmed that she was working on the men in the tower, and the Siren temporarily left that task to her. She could hear the young woman tearing into the soldiers, and didn’t fear her coming out on top. Glitter had one of the more versatile abilities. So long as she didn’t get caught off guard, the eletro-woman would manage.

The trooper that refused to relinquish his weapon was only the first of many men that would eventually lay at their feet. It wasn’t pride; Simple fact. They were men following orders that would always try to stop them…

                                        They would lose.

The sound of breaking bone and cartilage snapping filled her head. It wasn’t something she would ever be able to forget the sound of. She’d never be able to forget how it felt. The dark haired young woman took no enjoyment in it, and only screamed when the man still refused to give up. The Siren was a little taken aback when Playboy seemed to lose a little equilibrium from her sonic assault. Her attack was guided by psionic shielding—He shouldn’t have felt a thing. The only thing that passed the barrier was a vaguely unpleasant noise.

~Sorry about that. I’ll be more precise next time.~, she apologized to her group without moving her lips, still confused as to how that could have happened. Part of the reason she led the Alpha’s, was because of her impeccable control and dedication to making sure she stayed on top of her mutation. There was so much fine tuning involved with a sonic ability that anything less than exact diligence could prove terminal.

Raine reported that the men in the tower had been taken care of, and Bella nodded her head, more to herself than anyone else. ~Good. Make sure that the prisoners we send back are all right.~

Esben it seemed, was busy removing collars, and that worked out well while she watched the perimeter with the others. They could really only release one person at a time, so smaller groups were better.

Isabella launched pointed sonic lances at any soldier that crossed her line of sight. They were potent, filled with bone shaking force—their effectiveness only increased by her accuracy. Direct hits rendered them first desperately nauseous and then unconscious. The strength she used was hopefully enough to keep them out of the fight until the X-Men were long gone. “I haven’t heard anything yet Allegra… But they’re fine, I promise.”

Isabella had faith in Leo—Or else she wouldn’t have sent him off on his own. If she were in a truth telling mood, she would have openly admitted that he was more suited for this than she was. The gunfire in the distance must have startled Aurelie, or turned her curiosity into fear, because the talented blonde immediately called for Katerina and Leonardo on her comm. The songstress moved away from a soldier that swung at her, a little perturbed at the sight of freed prisoners simply standing idle…

She’d never been on a raid where they hadn’t tried to help out, or at least showed some kind of initiative. Just as she raised her hand to emit another sonic blast, she heard a quick displacement of air before she felt something hard and forceful give her body a brutal shove. She unintentionally bit the soft skin of her lip when she hit the ground, a coppery taste filling her mouth. Tossing dark hair over her shoulder she glanced back at the source, the way Aurelie spoke causing emerald eyes to narrow on the man she held suspended in the air.

Isabella didn’t get a chance to respond as the man that she’d been fighting took advantage of the fact that she'd been tossed unceremoniously on her rear. He lunged, and the songstress grabbed his wrist and twisted it away from her body. He threw a jab at her abdomen with free hand, and the Alpha Leader shrieked in his face, careful not to over project. She inadvertently released a puff of air when the man succumbed to her ability and went slack, his body painfully squishing her small frame. Isabella shoved him to the grass and pulled herself to her feet, not realizing that her suit and skin had been punctured. She was too focused to realize she'd been injured, let alone bleeding.

Confusion and adrenaline clouded everything for a moment; the crystalline clarity that followed immediately bringing her answers. Her eyes found the blood on Aurelie’s hairline. This had definitely been too easy. It was about to get worse. “Are you all right—“

She was cut off as Katerina began yelling in her ear piece, filling in the words that had been percolating in the back of her mind. Her expression turned grim when she realized it was too late to order a full retreat, even as Leo called for it. Something had already surrounded them, effortlessly trapping them inside the prison grounds. The glimmer that Forrest had seen; a helicarrier. A big one. She recognized the emblem on the side…

                                        S.H.I.E.L.D.

She was silent as Leonardo began to issue orders in her stead, quiet jade eyes taking in the impressive sight of the floating air craft. This whole thing was a farce…It almost amused her, the lengths they’d taken to ensnare them. She wondered if the Senior X-Men had encountered similar resistance. The prisoners didn’t seem shocked, and the soldiers were waiting. Waiting for what? It was no small wonder that she hadn’t been able to place the helicarrier… She’d never seen, or heard anything like it. It was like twenty Blackbirds rolled into one giant flying machine. Isabella raised her hand to her comm, unaware that the other team had liberated Rykov. “If they aren’t one of us…They’re the enemy. All of them. Prisoners included.”

Isabella couldn’t feel panic…Couldn’t find fear. Where was it? Shouldn’t she feel something? She felt steady, as if somehow, the situation was still well under their control. She’d been with the X-Men for nearly a decade. They’d fought everything imaginable…Mr. Sinister, Magneto, Mystique, The ShadowKing, Belasco—Just to name a few.

They’d been sent to a literal version of a hell dimension, in which they’d fought demons.

                                        Literal, flesh eating, demons.

And…S.H.I.E.L.D. came at them with an electrified net?

“Maintain calm and work together. We’ll make our way towards Renaissance Mans group—Once there, we can find cover. We’re not that far off.”, she continued after a moment, still broadcasting to both units. The hair on the back of her neck rose as she pulled sound waves out of the air, causing dirt and debris nearest to her to vibrate. She gathered and condensed them as easily as one plucked at the strings of a harp. It would be easy enough to detonate a sonic boom where the soldiers and prisoners were accumulating… More troops were dropping down from the helicarrier, fully armed. They were passing out weaponry and what appeared to be light weight armor to the prisoners that were closest. All she needed was a good line of sight...

The Siren wouldn’t be as gentle as she’d been in the beginning…

It wasn’t that she felt like they deserved it; It was simply the more efficient route. It took effort not to unleash madness…It took effort to hold back. The fact that it was a trap simplified what she needed to do. “We still have the advantage. They don’t understand us, I don’t hear any Sentinels incoming, and they certainly don’t know what we’re capable of…”

“We aren’t trapped with S.H.I.E.L.D… They’re trapped with us.”
, the Siren spoke evenly across the comm line, eyes filled with a foreboding sense determination. Her expression was set in such a way that it seemed to be made of stone, lovely features unyielding. Despite the fact that she was speaking to Aurelie, her voice dropped in the ears of her entire group. She didn’t intend on keeping them out of the loop. ~Allegra… You’re hurt, and it’s unfair that I ask… But can you drop a dome around the group, excluding myself, and carry it with you while we move?~

~Warn us if you need a break, and we’ll find temporary cover…~
, Bella didn’t want to over extend the telekinetic, but it would be safer. She knew from the mall that Aurelie could indeed withstand quite abit of force… But the songstress did not want a repeat of what happened afterward.

She drew out of range from where she suspected Aurelie would drop her telekinetic shields, not feeling the inclination to hide unless absolutely necessary. Her goal would be to subdue as many enemy combatants as she could—before they hit Aurelie’s ability. The less she had to defend against, the better. Tapping her comm again she tried to reach the two Alpha’s that were outside of the prison, but to no avail… Forrest and Flairer were on their own. The comm’s seemed to work fine inside the barrier, but she couldn’t reach anyone outside of it. It was annoying, because if they had access, all she had to do was call down Manifold and they were gone in the blink of an eye.

The sudden appearance of Julian caused her right hand to raise in his direction, a blast primed that would send him flying if it connected. A few broken ribs would be the least of his problems, when considering the internal bleeding she left behind. She ignored him for a moment while she targeted two groups of soldiers and so called ‘prisoners’ that were intent on trying to flank them. Were they crazy? Not only could she hear them, but she could see them.

The Siren sent an attack simultaneously from both hands, the double boom making a terrifying sound that could be compared to thunder. It was similar to the noise a fighter jet could make as it broke the sound barrier…But the Alpha leader compressed enough force that it could be used as a weapon. The aftermath was clear; A dozen men barely able to pick themselves up from the ground.

As they bled from their ears and eyes, she refocused her attention on Julian, unflinching. It was a rare sight… The Siren rarely used her gifts for anything on base other than singing songs with the elementary school students. She’d been known to throw her voice for a prank every so often… But causing real harm? Aside from tearing the Sentinel apart at the Academy…

It would be a learning experience for some of the newest members of her team.

Gentle Bella, wasn’t quite so gentle.

The Siren didn’t like the idea of leaving her group at all; but the way she saw it… One group was going to lose their lead. She’d lucked out with an extra Omega on her side. If this could rid them of their troubles, as Julian claimed, wasn’t it worth a try? “The plan stays the same guys…But after Eidolon assists us…He’s going to come back and port the rest of this group back to Renaissance Man, two by two. It shouldn’t take long. You’ll be safe with him.”

Again, her confidence in Leonardo pushed through any turmoil… She trusted him beyond anyone else. Especially, when it came to the rest of the Alpha’s.

“Let’s move. The quicker the better.”

She offered her hand to Julian, knowing that Dimitri wouldn’t be far behind. Bella knew that Playboy wouldn’t miss a chance to showcase his skills and do some damage… But the ‘slightly suicidal’ part of Julian’s offer gave her cause to pause. What exactly did he have in mind?

~Look after them for me Leo… As soon as we get rid of this barrier—Use your comm to call the base for extraction. Manifold will open a portal wherever you are…~, she trailed off, her message to him faint because of the distance…But it would reach. She’d whispered things further, and under much worse circumstances.

~Please...Get them home for me. No matter what.~

Where: New Base/Prison Complex
Company: Alphas
Thoughts: Stay Calm Esben, now is not the time to go apeshit

The monkey man who named himself after a figure of Chinese mythology merely smiled when Aurelie commented on his little quip, pretty much confirming what he had said. He had figured she was kidding around, but when Playboy mentioned to her not scaring him, he merely made a shrugging motion towards the guy, "I don't like burnt fur thank you very much, so I'll pass on being fried today.". A sentiment Aurelie agreed on.

The initial assault on some unsuspecting guards was fast and easy. He had dispatched at least one with a very efficent takedown while Raine eletrocuted the rest. Of course Wukong was just a bit too close and got the 80's hair band treatment, one that he wasted no time quipping about. Raine smiled before she warned him to stay back next time, to which he answered, "Nah, I can deal with looking like David Bowie for a mission."

Getting into the prison afterwards proved to be easy after the trio of himself, Bella, and Raine cleared the way, but Esben's gut feeling that things seemed too easy would get worse and worse as they entered the courtyard. Esben was given a very important job when s**t started going down: releasing the prisoners when Bella threw him the key. He grabbed it out of the air and began that work, dispatching any soldier that did get in his range that wasn't taken out by another Alpha. He gave the same speech to each prisoner, about how they were free and he will try to get them out of here alive and not recaptured.

But Wukong was too busy taking care of prisoners and taking out soldiers to know the oddity in the sky until he heard the sound of several engines. He looked up for a moment, but it was enough to give a soldier an opening to try to take him down with a sleeper hold, one that Wukong shook off easily with a judo like throw, something easily accomplished due to his greater strength. On average, even a chimpanzee, which is about half the size of a man, is four times stronger than the average human male. Esben possesses similar strength due to his simian physiology, more than enough to judo throw a soldier in body armor.

And then he saw it, the giant helicarrier that was coming down from the sky. The sight of it filled him with awe and a bit of fear. Why would they resort to such a huge thing to trap a bunch of mutants. There was also a net around the prison, one that Esben didn't see, but Bella made it clear what was going on: the prisoners were in on it. They were lured here as a trap.

Esben hated it when his gut feeling was right. But the fact that they would resort to such deception to capture them, it.....it made him so mad. He actually bared his fangs at the sight of all of this. This was ******** madness. He was so focused on the chaos around him he didn't notice the fact that one of their group reflexifly used her power until he felt a hard force against him back. Unlike Bella, who was knocked on her rump, Esben quickly regained his composure and after being thrown about ten to twenty feet, he recovered and landed on his feet, surrounded by former prisoners turned into armed hostiles, and a lot of other soldiers.

Now was not the time to leave them able to harm them. They chose their fate the moment they drew weapons on him. Life on the streets told him it was dog eat dog, kill or be killed. He was not going to be chained up today. Like a cornered animal, he leaped forward, bringing his staff out and whacking the first guy he saw with it's rapidly extending length, with enough force to knock him out easily. He then recovered from his leap by landing on his free hand and springing back into a ready position, turned around and ready to strike again. He quickly closed the distance between him and another soldier, grabbing that one with enough force to break his wrist, swinging his staff towards the back of his knee, grinning at the satisfying sound of his kneecap pulping and tripping him up and on his a**.

He then turned around and leaped at another guy and landing on him with enough force to knock him on his a**, punching him in the face with enough force to break the guys nose and force that piece of bone into his brain. The last one was accidental though, he was meaning to knock him out, but the force was too great. Esben will regret that later, but that didn't matter now, survival was what he needed to focus on. And every punch, kick, staff swing, and unconscious body dropping around him reinforced the fact it was either Alpha or S,H.I.E.L.D that was going down.

The initial surprise of his assault subsiding, he moved as quickly as possible to avoid the returning gunfire he was certainly going to receive, slipping beneath the legs of another soldier and bounding away on all fours, staff held in his teeth. He heard Bella barely through his strangely focused rage, even through the telepathy. The dome was his best chance of at least getting some time to calm down. His rage was building, and he didn't want to lose control. Not now, but it wasn't entirely his fault that these clowns were not making it easy.

He slipped under the legs of another soldier and immediately ran as fast as he could towards the group, staff in hand. The dome was his only hope to get at least some time to calm himself. He did manage to call Bella through his communicator, as he took down or evaded any soldier that either raised his gun at him or was the unfortunate one to just stand in his way. She can tell her greenest team member was feeling the pressure, through his clenched fangs and failing attempts to keep cool, "Bella, did Hank tell you everything about me? About my tendencies to lose control and rage like he used to? You better get us out of here as soon as you can or else these asshats won't be our only issue," he said through clenched teeth as he joined up with the others.

Katerina rolled her eyes heavenward as Julian got all weepy about the explosive collar issue. If it weren’t for the fact that she needed him to escape the prison effortlessly, she might have reached up and poked him in his beady eyes, just so he’d have something real to cry about. The jailbird introduced himself, and the shape shifter mentally filed his name away for later…

It wouldn’t be long before the former HYDRA agent did her best to dig up any and all information on their new comrade. It wouldn’t come as a surprise to those who knew her. No one was exactly who they appeared to be, and everyone had skeletons they’d rather no one find. Katerina excelled at digging them up. Still…Rykov seemed to have genuine autonomic responses to his freedom, and for that she gave him a very temporary pass. “Don’t listen to Junior…It’s fine.”, she purred, her italian heritage peeking sassily through dulcet tones. “We’re all ready to be out of here.”

Her words were in direct contrast to Eidolon, just for the sake of being contrary. She didn’t want to say that she agreed with the teleporter—that was too big of a concession for her ego to handle. Rykov appeared to toughen up after the near-incident, and thankfully seemed a little less squishy. It was as if he’d suddenly found his bearings now that a way out was dangling in the near future. Gunmetal blue eyes followed him while he inquired about their escape plan, trying to decide once and for all if he was a threat. Katerina held faith in nothing, and did not believe that people were inherently good. If anything, it was probably safer to knock him out and drag him back by his ankles.

Once she put two and two together, her harsh words through the comm cut off any fanciful talk of the escape plan. Her face felt hot as they teleported, queasiness creeping through her system as she dropped down behind cover. She really hated teleporting. Rossi was already shouting for the teams to abort, but Katerina simply stayed low—scowling. The shape shifter had planned on spending the afternoon snoozing in Aurelie’s lap…Not dealing with ********, SHIELD.

The shapeshifter watched the state-of-the-art containment field with narrowed eyes, almost exasperated. Only the Alpha’s led by Isabella Stone would get caught in a trap, during a seriously bogus rescue mission. It was absolutely ridiculous. Eidolon felt it appropriate to berate her for her distrust of the ex-detainee, and she felt her body begin to itch. She wanted to shift and liberate his head from his shoulders. “Since we don’t have time to deal with a potential risk—I hope he stabs you in the back first.”

It would be far more difficult to escape if Rykov was a puppet with strings held by a pack of SHIELD dogs. The subject of her ire decided to try and prove his innocence by offering verbal rebuffs that meant little to her. “If you’re asking if I believe that SHIELD would lock up and torture an operative in an effort to secure a mole in the enemy camp…”

                                    “Yes.”
, Katerina responded coldly, not bothering to look at Rykov as he’d requested. Her eyes were better spent on the yard. She was trained to spot an enemy coming long before they ever laid eyes on her. “I believe that.”

Julian began testing his teleporting abilities, and her shoulders tensed when it seemed that he couldn’t get through. That would have been the easiest way out. Rykov seemed to understand her point, and offered his assistance, but the former HYDRA agent wouldn’t be so easily swayed. She was a ruthless assassin at the deepest core of her black little heart. “It depends on the manner of your assistance. If you return with us in a body bag… I’ll know where you stand.”

Rossi chose then to ask if they could trust this man, and Katerina gave him a withering stare. Was he really asking her that? He knew better. “Guilty until proven innocent.”

“But… We could use the man power.”, she conceded after a moment, frustrated at having to do so. Katerina was used to being in control at all times… And she wasn’t fond of being in a cage. She’d run from HYDRA for that very reason. Azure eyes flickered toward Rykov, as if daring him to place a toe out of line. She’d all but called him out… If he was working for SHIELD, or if he really was a victim—They’d find out soon enough.

Her head snapped up when she heard Aurelie’s voice; for a moment forgetting that it was through the comm. “Allegra? What’s wrong?”, she questioned back quickly, tone softening immeasurably. Clear concern broke through her chilled exterior, unintentionally giving those that overheard a glimpse of something she’d rather them not see. Were it anyone else she wouldn’t have cared… But since the barrier had dropped; she knew that reinforcements were coming. It was only a matter of time... S.H.I.E.L.D. had them where they wanted them to be. They would clean house, and fill all the empty cells they could.

Katerina remained quiet and anxious while Rossi gave her friend orders, trying to find flaw in his logic. If anything it seemed like it might cause the telekinetic undue stress, she would object immediately. To her chagrin, Rossi was on point… There wasn’t anything she could disagree with. To that end…Stone was very, very lucky that she couldn’t hear her tell Aurelie to shield all of them.

Her attention was taken from Allegra when Rossi went on to ask about the holding center itself. Reaching up, she pinched her nose—trying to recall all the data that she’d skimmed. “The building itself is well fortified. Even if this is all a lie… The prison is real. Real facilities, real holding cells, real equipment. There were large bunkers in the sub-levels built to withstand large scale mutant attacks.”

“They were likely built for situations like this—A place where the staff could be safe during a jailbreak… We might be able to hold up in one of those. Especially, if we can change the security codes…”, she hypothesized quickly, glancing at Julian to see if he remembered passing the entrance. It had been just between the holding cells and the medical wing. “Either way it’s probably safer there. Not everyone here is going to be able to handle S.H.E.L.D. agents—some won’t last five minutes.”

                                    “The only thing is… Once we’re inside… We’re cornered.”

Trapped in an even smaller corner.

Rossi seemed to be formulating another plan, but Eidolon suddenly up and disappeared. Katerina sighed as she heard Stone’s saccharine voice come through the communicators. It held the usual instructions a leader might give; Avoid panic, stay together. But it also had a tone that Katerina hadn’t thought the Alpha leader was capable of. She seemed sure of herself. Determined. She glanced towards Rossi, a little curiosity mingling with disgust.

Exactly how much had he been rubbing off on his girlfriend?

From the sounds of it… Stone was putting them out to pasture—Making them glorified den mothers while all hell broke loose. The former HYDRA agent was never one to stand idly by, and last she checked, neither was the former S.H.E.L.D. agent that stood not five feet from her. Most days, she’d contemplate on ways to make his life even more difficult than usual… But vengeance was outclassed when pit against basic survival.

“What the hell is your harpy doing over there? What is she waiting for? We don’t have time for inspirational speeches and cheer squad try outs…”, Katerina questioned Leonardo tersely, italian accent a little heavier than it normally was. The Alpha leader hadn’t actually done anything wrong, but Katerina was unwilling to give the woman a break, even in a crisis. She didn’t like being in the dark, and really didn’t like not having Aurelie. She was only safe, if Katerina was with her. End of story. “We need to DO something.”

If Allegra had so much as a hair out of place…the Siren would soon wish she'd never been born.

When Magda first discovered the effects of her mutation, the last thing she imagined was using it to fight MRDs alongside a hair kraken. She never imagined herself being one of those cool superhero people who used their powers to fight bad guys. Frankly, she mostly just thought about using it to push doors open... and occasionally to slam people into walls whenever they made the ever so wise decision to test her thin patience. But other than that, there wasn't much she'd planned for her fancy "gift".

Her only plan after surviving that god-awful all female boarding school her parents made her attend was to move as far away from New York as possible. Maybe she'd go to college. Or maybe she'd buy herself a plane ticket and fly to Georgia in search of her birth parents. And maybe if she liked it there, she'd stay... or country hop across Europe. She'd always wanted to slide down the Swiss Alps on a giant inflatable rubber duck. Maybe she'd even run into a long lost sibling in some random country. It was an unlikely event but the possibility was still there. She knew absolutely nothing about her birth parents. They could very well be a couple who lived for the purpose of popping out babies and giving them away.

The bottom line was she never planned for this X-Men thing to happen. If it weren't for her parents dropping her off at this mysterious school for weird people, she'd most likely be in college doing some boring college stuff. As much as she liked to think that being 18 meant she could travel wherever and do whatever, it really wasn't as glamorous as she'd hoped. But were she not living with a bunch of genetic freaks, her life would certainly be far less glamorous. She had this group to thank for her awesomely strange life.

Being with this group of people gave her the chance to do something more than just open doors with her powers and it gave her life some much needed excitement. After all, she got to spend the day frolicking around Columbus Circle with someone who could turn her hair into tentacles. She knocked down soldiers and watched in delight as the mall her mother used to drag her to got partially destroyed by a sentinel. It was chaotic... and beautiful.

The soldiers were down and Orchid was okay. The job was complete. But Orchid didn't seem to think so. She got up and kicked one of the soldiers so many times that Magda felt the need to intervene... verbally.
"Maybe you should stop before someone recruits you for the women's national soccer team."

"Good to know. I think you literally broke every single one of his ribs. I think he'll be too busy dealing with his medical bills to go after anyone."
Was it weird to talk about that? Was it also weird to ask for pizza right after nearly killing three men? But she was hungry and she was desperately craving a good slice of pineapple and ham...

Orchid said her debt was paid for those Smurf comments she'd made earlier... which was enough for her brain to involuntarily think of another Smurf comment. But just when she was about to suggest dressing up as Smurfs for Halloween, Orchid pulled her close and planted a firm kiss on her lips.

                                                Whoa...

Her brown eyes grew wide as she struggled to comprehend the situation. Apparently, it was a freebie.

A freebie? But what's a freebie? Did she usually charge for kisses? That's weird. It was probably a gesture of gratitude. But most people said 'thank you'. Unless they're European. Europeans kissed a lot. An unnecessary amount.

                                                "Are you European?"
She asked out loud. Her brain was trying so hard to process every single thought that it didn't even register the fact that she'd just experienced her first kiss.

It took a moment but her brain eventually rebooted and the first thing she thought of was her pizza.
"That's a shame. The only good thing about that stupid mall is the pizza." With that said, she silently followed Orchid to rejoin the rest of their group. Among them was a new face (Alice).

She gave the girl a curious look and said,
                                                "Nice haircut, but who're you?"

Unreal Tournament 3 OST - "Go Down[UT3 Remix]"

Storm walked through the halls of the underground facility with one of their newer rescues, slowly pulling off her gloves. He'd been cleared by medical, and she figured that he may want to settle in and get some perspective. They'd arrived not long ago, but she was more than happy to escort him to his lodgings, and provide a little more information before the Alpha's and Omega's returned. "From what I understand Scott believes that you would enjoy a place on the Alpha's. They're currently led by another one of our students, Isabella. You'll meet some of them soon."

The white haired woman brought him to an unassigned dorm and motioned for him to place his hand on the scanner. It would remember his hand print, and act as a door lock. Only he, or someone he approved, would be able to enter his quarters. "You'll find clothing in the drawers of the appropriate size, and the bathroom is off to the right. There are toiletries in the cabinets... We are beneath the surface, so the images you see in the windows are merely holograms for your comfort."

At Storm’s instruction, Darien took off one of his gloves and pressed his hand as flat as he could against the scanner. Once that was done and his print stored, he slid the glove back on, wiggling his fingers a bit to make sure it was tight.

"A communicator is also on your night stand. I recommend that you keep it on your person as often as possible.", Ororo went on, stepping into the dorm once the door opened to show him a few things. His name appeared above the door in plain script, 'Darien Asch.' From there she explained that their home was self contained and he was welcome to use any of the facilities he needed. "You'll have to get approval from your team leader to use the simulation room.."

"But we do have a well equipped gymnasium, and a pool that you might be interested in. The kitchens are also fully stocked. If there's something else you need that I haven't mentioned, please feel free to ask. There are also maps in most of the hallways in case you get lost..."
, she finished off with a small smile, blue eyes encouraging. She was always glad to have a new mind join their cause. It gave her a good feeling to bring someone in from the cold, especially when the rest of the world was so hostile towards mutants.

Some people were suspicious or confused about their hospitality...But eventually, it would become clear. Professor Xavier provided for mutants as best he could...But it was up to them to make new students feel comfortable and safe. "I'll leave you to it for now... But help is only a comm call away. Feel free to try it out, you won't hurt anything."

From there she left him be, trying hard not to overwhelm him. Emma preferred to psychoanalyze everything, where Ororo preferred to let things grow on their own.

Gyrating his head and shoulders a bit, there were several small clicks and pops and sigh of relief before Darien sat on the edge of his new bed. He really wanted to hit the gym and work on his body and form, but that could wait until he met his team. This was going to take some getting used to, even more so if his team mates rubbed him the wrong way. Swinging his leg over onto the bed, Darien laid back to get a bit of rest, hopefully he’d be up by the time the others got back.

Roland Anton Chevalier
Location: Manhattan
Thoughts: Getting ready to move out…

User ImageThe Louisiana fighter paused for a moment, his metallic hands gripping the forearm of a police officer he’d just taken down, rather harshly he might add. But rather than give into his dark desires and split the man’s head open, he instead opted to restrain him. He’d also restrained his partner, both using plasti-cuffs that were of course standard issue. The one who remained conscious had asked him why he was doing this, to which Roland only had some confusion. Of course he was lying to himself, as he knew the real reason was now probably a few hundred yards away from him.

A little boy.

When he went in head on with those officers, he hadn’t been paying attention to the environment around him. Only to what was in front of him, and that was his enemy. Hit this nerve cluster, break those bones, twist that joint, those were the primary thoughts in his head. It was par for the course for the psychotic warrior. The sensory input of injuring a man, the sound of breaking bone, of ripping muscle, tearing ligaments, it registered in his brain in the same way one might go skydiving. His adrenaline was through the roof, he was enjoying himself. Under the face plate he was smiling, a toothy animalistic grin as he fought. Every strike was another verse in a song of pain that rang like a siren in the back of his mind. The snap of broken bones a chorus tempting him to do better, to “sing” more terrifying and beautiful verses in this twisted music of violence that Roland enjoyed to a disturbing degree at times.

But then he saw this child. He couldn’t have been older than four or five, but with his senses so sharp, so crisp that he could see the fear in his eyes. It only took a glance, but it felt like an eternity to him. The boy had such innocence in him, such naivety to the world around him, to how things really were. To what men were truly capable of doing to others. A sudden sense of nausea came over him, as he gazed upon this boy and this reality-defining moment he was going to instill.

He wasn’t going to show this boy brutality; instead he was going to show him restraint. Humans were capable of great violence, but also great control.

“Know this officer…” he stated, “mutants are no more monsters than you or your partner are. We are only what circumstances have made us.” He then propped the officer up along a tree, so he wasn’t face down in the dirt. “The pain will pass, your wounds will heal. I just hope that this moment doesn’t disappear like those injuries.”

He then headed back to the extraction point, hoping that his words would be taken to heart. As he made his way back he heard orders from Blake to escort a person named Aftershock to the base. As he returned he saw Charlotte and the others, and who he could only assume was in fact Aftershock. He heard her go on a spiel about not being weak, and how she wasn’t going to evacuate. Roland’s golden eyes began to burn and glow bright as he approached. Orders were to evacuate all that could afford to. Judging by how she carried herself, she was injured. He walked forward, “Aftershock right?” he asked, the faceplate folding away to reveal the rest of his face.

“We need to get you out of here. Orders are for anyone that is able to evacuate the area, you included. And I’m not going to sit here and argue with you, you’re going through that portal and getting looked over.”

He then added, his voice and face making it clear he was not joking in the slightest “I have zero compunctions with using force to get you through that portal, regardless of whatever injuries I myself may sustain. I recently recovered from extreme radiation poisoning and burns because I stopped our leader from going nuclear. You are welcome to test me at your own risk.” He really did not care if he had to knock her unconscious and carry her back, they were getting out of there.

Narcissa would have their heads if this didn’t happen.

Kerrigan, Charie and Christian made an interesting group, the trio using the time they made their way through the mall to get to know each other a little bit. Since they were on the same team, it would only do them good to form some sort of light friendship, even if it never developed into anything more than polite acquaintances. As the minutes wore on, however, she was sure that they'd get along just fine. Each boy seemed to have a good temperament and sense of humor, and Charlie expressed interest in training and sparring with her, which she was always up for.

While they were in Finish Line, their communicators sounded off that the children they had been searching for were located, and things were already starting to get hairy in the food court. Christian's bad acting aside, it was time for them to get dressed in their uniforms and become true Omegas. They made their way to the bathrooms, splitting up for just a few minutes to change in peace. The pocket dimension technology that they were now sporting was already showing its worth, the redhead pressing the flat of her thumb against the correct spot on her shoulder so her uniform simply replaced the civilian clothes she wore.

It did not take long for the group to be reunited, Charlie expressing some envy at her uniform and asking what he needed to do to get one. She playfully retorted that he would have to earn it. It seemed like he was up for the challenge, the redhead shifting their focus back to the mission ahead. The brief moment of levity between them vanished upon the news and sounds of a sentinel arriving on the scene, the redhead cracking down on their younger members for making jokes. The news sent a shiver down her spine, the redhead snapping slightly at the boys as they continued to make jokes about the situation. She probably came down on them harder than she should have, but they hadn't been there for the last one. They hadn't seen her get thrown around like a rag doll and barely survive the encounter.

Taking threats like this seriously is what would keep them alive.

With that, the trio set out once more towards the food court, following Lucky's suggestion that they go against the crowd of people fleeing from the heart of the action (and their target). Unfortunately for them, it didn't take long for trouble to find them in the form of a group of MRDs intercepting their path. Tranquilizer guns drawn and trained on the three Omegas, Charlie was the first one to react, causing Kerrigan to leap into action as well. She was impressed with his natural instincts. Christian transformed into a werewolf, easily dispatching of his target as she was finishing up hers. They wasted no more time before resuming their trek to the food court, continuing to take out any obstacles in their way. It wasn't difficult, given her combat experience, Charlie's skills and the fact that they had a huge wolf to back them up. That last part always helps.

The scene when they finally arrived at their destination was one of chaos and destruction. Several of their own were taking on the sentinel that had landed through the skylight, others focusing on getting the wounded out of harm's way. She dispatched of another MRD upon their arrival before receiving orders from Narcissa to cover Aren as he moved one of the wounded outside.

Christian was the first to leap into action, literally, as he bounded over to their target with Kerrigan and Charlie in close pursuit. She and Lucky did their best to take care of the braver MRDs that weren't scared away by the sight of their wolf-like companion. Tiny managed to make it to the exit with his ward, the redhead turning her attentions back to the battle to see if there were any lingering Omegas that needed their assistance. She was never one to leave a teammate behind, even when a full evacuation order had been given. It was for this reason that, when she realized that Daylia and Gracie were still in the Mall, Kerrigan couldn't in good conscience leave them behind.

Gracie had responded to her message, stating that she wasn't sure where they were but she thought they were close to the food court, in the employee section. "We're on our way, just stay put," she responded quickly to the girls, opening her communicator link to Cissa, so she could let the blonde know that they were going to go after the girls. She further asked the blonde to take a headcount so they could be on the lookout for other Omegas that may be lagging behind the rest of the group. Already, they were on the move, when their leader's response came through, informing them that they had ten minutes to recover their teammates and get the hell out of dodge. If they were even a second late, the sun goddess would be coming after them herself, and that was never a good thing.

"Copy that. Ten minutes," she breathed out as they ran, her attentions focusing even more than before. Feral broke ahead of them, not surprising given his canine speed advantage, but with his enhanced senses, it seemed like their greatest chance of locating their lost comrades. The canine stopped for no one and nothing as he turned his sights on two figures just outside the food court, Kerrigan vaulting an overturned table as she saw a shoulder check knock an MRD across the room. A pair of MRDs taking aim at their large friend drew her attention, causing the redhead to take a small detour.

Planting herself as she rounded on them, she ducked under the shot of his tranquilizer gun, bringing her heel up and around to knock his weapon away while she took him out at the knees. Using his weight as they fell to flip herself around, she pivoted and brought her elbow up into the second man's gut, again bringing him down at the knees and throwing her elbow down into his face to knock him out. By the time she was back on her feet and had made it to their little gathering, Charlie and Christian had located Gracie and Daylia, the girls trying to interpret their canine companion's strange sign language and asking if he might be able to carry Chameleon, since she was exhausted from using her power to get them there.

Charlie asked if his friend was doing alright, Kerrigan's green eyes flitting over her friends to make sure that they were also alright. Aside from looking a little fatigued, they didn't seem hurt or anything, and it was abundantly clear that their senses of humor were still in tact.

She couldn't help but smile slightly as Daylia greeted her, listening as the girl questioning whether their tranqed-up werewolf would really be able to bear her out of the mall. Unfortunately, they didn't have the time to sit and debate things.

"Look, if you can stand, let's get our asses in gear and get out of here. Solaris has given us," she trailed off, checking the time before turning back to them, "exactly five minutes and thirty-seven seconds to get to that portal or she's coming in." She turned and started to usher them towards the exit once more, when Daylia's eyes caught hers with a strange expression, saying something about water before hurling all over the floor. When she was done, she lamented the loss of her snacks before asking Christian not to eat it.

Jesus Christ, that was gross.

"Four minutes and forty-three seconds. We really need to move," she said simply moving to offer her fellow redhead what support she needed to get moving. Her eyes flitted between their group, part apologetic, part commanding, as she pushed them towards the exit. The MRDs were still around, and they didn't have the luxury of time.

Thoughts: Flying Invisible Ships, Facility on the verge of exploding, maybe? At least that' what I'm thinking. Can't we just see if they have another exit out of here? Location: [MRD Facility] With: Alpha Team

Marcel had stared blankly for a few. He felt that if he were to include his associate in the matter, he would believe he tried in communicating effectively. Instead, he found himself not having the time to wait on an answer and instead moved forward as planned. He slid under the vehicle from the slippery slope he had caused himself, leaving a heavy thud against the metal frame. He could curse mentally to himself, but that was his intentions for the most part. When timed effectively in the matter of which his other teammates had engaged the soldier, the two men pondered what had caused the sound and upon looking down, they found themselves gagging extremely bad from the thumbs that jabbed them rather harshly against their windpipes. As their weapons dropped, his hands grabbed their heads by the back of their necks and with a quick bashing of their skulls up against each other’s helms, he then brought their foreheads down to the metal surface of the jeep, before bringing their bodies over and punching them bluntly, but effectively across their noses. They groaned in agony as Marcel looked at them, making sure he had done a well job in incapacitating them before. He believed he had done a decent job to keep them out well enough while they proceeded with the full scheduled task of breaking in to a state of the art facility like a thief in the night and leaving out like nobody’s business.

With one task complete, he merely glanced around through the night to see their leader in this operation motion for them to huddle back together in their little strategy of entering inside Jericho. The plan seemed effective enough; take out the snipers and raid the facility like it was some Dungeon in a game. If they won, they get to walk out with some very good prizes. If they lost, then chances were they were dead and the option to respawn was extremely unlikely. A person was as good as dead. Now his mind reflected on the state of death. How he would go out? Would he die, going out in some glorious bang? He could picture himself flooding an entire floor and taking a ton of soldiers with him before his body got loaded with anymore bullets. That then prompted him to think of purgatory. What was that like? Would he be like J. Alfred Prufrock? Would he invite those who stepped into the same gray fogged city out into the matter of his life, viewing those he would never get a chance to talk to? Perhaps even, he would find himself laid out on a table, pinned down like those who had a passion for entomology. That was an odd choice of thoughts, but he was at a prison. What more could he expect to happen there? The fact that they were on the task of search and rescue clearly meant a lot of torture occurred while the facility was comforted by reinforced walls and the astonishment of the wilderness nearby or there was a bus simply coming in to deliver fresh bait, the bus literally being the vehicle or in this case, them.

Marcel’s mind drifted back to the conversation at hand. They were still at the wall, plotting to rely on Landslide’s abilities to get them over the wall. It sounded reasonable sure enough. It rejected their recent stealth-filled adventures and put to arms the much more aggressive lay siege to an impenetrable fortress tactic. It sounded like one adrenaline boost after another, at least for the African-American male. He wished silently to himself that he could find a way to make more use of his skills however. At least to him mentally, he felt like he really was not pulling his weight, but perhaps that was because he was completely anxious. It was not every day a person simply strutted into a prison facility and staged a heist. On most occasions, a person probably wondered how the entire situation would play out. Would it be an inside job? A person getting arrested willingly by coming up with some insane crime scheme to get them committed to a certain facility all in an effort to rescue someone on the inside? The question then would be how they were going to escape. Guards in the towers or floors above as they monitored everything below were certain to be riddled at every post armed with snipers or a form of rifle. Those patrolling on the ground were even armed with pistols or worse if the situation got too far out of hand.

Fortunately for Marcel and the company he travelled with, his team of Alphas, they did not have to worry about how they were going to escape. They had the means to do so that were a bit more complex, well he could not say complex. They had gifts that were far superior over the normal human beings. Anything they dared, if they desired or willed it, was more than likely theirs. And so as Jericho’s walls came tumbling down, Marcel just did not second guess himself as he was certain his allies had the same notion in mind albeit the fact that they were breaking and entering illegally. At least it would appear that way, but what they were doing was for the greater good of their kind. As a few guards did not take kind to the idea that they were brought down to earth, some going as far as to run towards them, the male merely flicked his hand as water from the vapors in the air to the mud itself was extracted to generate moderate amount of water kindly enough to push them up against what was left of the concrete walls that had fallen down. If the impact did not do it, the amount of water put into the push surely would have them incapacitated. Despite the egotistical thinking he could have to himself from time to time, they were just thoughts. He, in no way, was going to flat out murder unless provoked.

When he had pulled, called upon the water like some supernatural phenomena most read in their fictional fantasies only in this case it was his reality and defined as not so supernatural but scientific around the world, he did detect an oddity in the skies, but when his dark brown eyes glanced upwards, he found nothing in the dark skies. He shrugged the oddity off when a few more guards had arrived to the scene before them. As he was instructed by Renaissance Man, he broke away from the group into their pairings, though rather his partner followed or not was between their own thoughts. He could always try to talk to ]Macabre again, but his eyes glanced at the nearby area. He saw guards and he knew instantly that his job were to subdue them and not become idle. He did not have enough time to draw water towards him and he was going to be otherwise useless if he drew it out of himself, so he reverted back to normal tactics. He took the handles of the blades he carried on his back, none of them bearing the blades as he had planned to form them from water itself when the time came. For now, they were going to be a timed distraction as the male threw them from his hands with a fling, hoping they would hit the two guard’s faces. His hope wasn’t that far stretched to say the least. The hard handles hit one in the neck and the other in the forehead. He ran and jumped against the wall, using the small leap to give his fist a boost as he punched one of the guards in the jaw, prompting him to collide with the other. Now he had the time to draw water again and as he had done so, he began to enclose the two in water bubble, spinning it around slightly as to disorient the two trapped inside. Marcel released the bubble and watched as the two men fell down a bit harshly. His training had helped him out a lot in making sure he had a bit of stability in learning his powers. Now if only he could focus on actually learning how to make constructs with it.

For the time being, everything was at a considerable calm; panic was brewing everywhere else to keep most guards distracted and if not, the pairing of groups had worked to their advantage. Yet to Marcel, some of this seemed to be going a bit too smoothly, but he could not think about those thoughts again, not while he was a bit busy fighting and being more anxious than before.

To say he was oblivious to the words received to his comm device was more of an understatement. His mind was focused on almost everything around that when the distorted transmission had come through, he stopped to attempt to decipher what he assumed he had heard, but their de facto leader, who had led them inside to gain what was genuinely assumed to be the upper hand, reaffirmed what he was already thinking well before he got into the base. This was a trap and he was certain Admiral Ackbar was having a field day somewhere. Yet, Marcel could not find himself to panic in his typical claustrophobia. It probably was because they were in a large expanse despite them actually being trapped by an invisible fence. He could beat himself up over the matter about how he thought he detected something, but then the others would have to as well of the fairly easy task it was to take out several guards and get past the walls in the first place.

He listened among his friends as they conversed of all the possible choices that they could take at this moment. While he was all for the possible idea of getting onboard this helicarrier, Marcel had to admit that not everyone were capable of fighting. He even had doubts about himself at times. The next idea however sounded a bit more absurd, something he would be against even if his claustrophobia did not play a factor to it. Defense was great, sure enough, but it did not make sense to fortify themselves in one confined area when they were already limited to wondering how they were going to escape in the first place.

”If I may make an inquiry about the facility, but what of the escape passages?" Marcel glanced around at what he was presently seeing and from what Katarina stated, it seemed that there was more to the facility than just containing mutants. ”I doubt this place would consider themselves that arrogant to not have one, especially if they had someone of importance they needed to let get away. Surely there is something they have hidden inside the facility to use in case situations like this were to occur that would prevent them from leaving out the traditional route. That is if this barrier has limits. While it’s advantageous to hold a fort, it would also be best to keep moving for now or at least blind the eyes above us.”

Darien hadn't been at rest for very long, at most a few minutes had passed, before getting back up and grabbing his communicator. Turning it over in his hands, he gave a small whistle as he examined it. "I'll have to see what this can do later. They might be doing something important, so I won't risk anything happening right now," the bruiser mumbled to himself as he fastened the communicator onto his left wrist. Heading out of his room, he traced his finger over a nearby map on the wall and made his way to the nearest elevator and hit the down button before stepping inside and selecting Floor 7.

Setting out of the elevator once it arrived, Darien examined a nearby map before making his way to the Gymnasium. Stepping inside with a crack of his knuckles, a broad grin crept across his face as he saw just how large and luxurious this gym was. "I may just spend all week in here. This place is a paradise!", he thought. Quickly making his way over to one of the large hanging punching bags, Darien threw a few sets of alternating jabs and hooks at it. It felt good going up against that bag, having something to relax on. Continuing on with his brush up, Darien moved on to faster, harder punches for the next forty-five minutes. After that, it was either laps or squats. Neglecting to work everything you could would be detrimental, and he was used to being run down with workouts every day he didn't have a match, pushing himself harder and harder.

Surveying the yard, the Alphas steadied themselves for the mission ahead. Rescuing mutants who had been imprisioned was important, and despite the danger that always left a knot in her stomach when she went on a mission, at least this was one that she could morally get behind. They wouldn't force anyone to come with them, however, Bella elaborating on that decision in an eloquent way. It was an impossible situation, not matter which way you sliced it, Raine's expression tensing into one of deep thought for a moment and she pondered what she would do if she were on the other side of things. She liked to think she knew the answer - the reality was, she couldn't imagine the decision the prisoners would be forced to make in the coming minutes.

As they made their way into the yard, engaging the guards that were there, Raine did her best to keep their numbers down as those with more of a gift for strategy started calling out orders. Unfortunately, Esben almost became one of her victims, the brunette apologizing to him for almost singing his fur. He responded that he didn't mind looking like David Bowie, to which she could only laugh.

"You might make a decent Goblin King. You'd need more eyeliner, though." She offered him a genuine smile, hoping that he wasn't finding his first official mission too much to handle. Normally, she wouldn't have taken the time for a witty comeback, but they so rarely came to her in the exact moment, she had to take advantage when she could. Besides, they momentarily had what felt like an upper hand, until the sound of machine gun fire rained down on them from above. Levity was over, it was time to get back to work.

Raine volunteered to clear one of the watch towers, out of which her teammates were being targeted. Running straight towards the tower, she was inside in a matter of seconds, starting her work. Gabriel's voice came through the comms, calling out the number of hostile soldiers he could see, the type of weapons they were using, and their movements.

"Thanks for the eyes, Siege," she messaged him through the comms as she finished up her work, securing the incapacitated guards in a storage room and using her powers to melt the locks and hinges to keep them contained. She sent a message to their leader, informing the Siren that they should be good to go, before she began making her way back down the tower to rejoin her teammates.

Bella asked her to make sure that the prisoners they were liberating were alright, the brunette confirming her receipt of her orders with a simple "copy that" over the comms. The firefly was getting pretty accurate with her lightning balls, using larger ones for groups of MRDs so the electricity jumped from one body to the next before they all fell to the ground in convulsions before falling still. It wasn't a fatal voltage, so they would be fine, but it would definitely leave them sore as hell when they woke up later. Waving freed prisoners in her direction, trying to get them out of the area if they were not going to join in the battle, her thoughts wandered to how the rest of her team, the ones she couldn't see, were doing with their end of the mission.

Before she could dwell too much on her friends, however, what sounded like a canon shot through the area, Raine running back to the door and turning her attentions to the sky as she saw a barrier form over the top of a helicarrier, dropping down around them and the Prison like a veil.

A force field.

Of course.

Because, why not?

Leonardo started calling out orders, Raine's eyes remaining on the force field keeping them inside as electricity crackled and arced down the sides of their new prison. If it was energy - maybe she could absorb enough of it to help them escape? Enough to weaken it enough for someone else to try to break through it in some way?

The hairs on her arm stood on end as she took a few steps towards the barrier, extending one hand as the electricity from the barrier jumped into her finger tips. The rush of energy filling up her reserves brought new life to the brunette, her hand dropping after just a few seconds as she looked up at the barrier again. It hadn't changed in terms of size or energy output - apparently, she could suck on it all day, and it wouldn't get any smaller. So much for that idea.

Turning back to the yard, it was amazing how quickly the tone of the area had changed. Prisoners they thought they were saving had turned on them, Bella informing them that if they weren't an Alpha, they were the enemy. No exceptions. The realization that it had all been a trap, everything, caused her stomach to bottom out. Nothing was ever simple for them, she had accepted that a long time ago. But, this? Who would take the time to do this? To trap them like rats?

Bella's words broke through her spiraling thoughts, calling for them to remain calm and work as a group to rejoin the others. The firefly forced her anxieties and fears from her mind, hazel eyes turning to the forms of additional soldiers dropping from the helicarrier with weapons, starting to arm the former prisoners. Her hands balled into fists as she felt the energy she'd taken in from the barrier churning inside her, her skin glittering softly with pent up electricity as her expression hardened. Bella continued speaking to them lending confidence to them as they rallied together as a team. She asked their resident telekinetic to form a dome over everyone but the Siren, Raine noting that the very air around their leader seemed distorted. Whatever it was she had planned, it clearly wasn't good...

As their leader moved away from the group, Raine wanted to tell her to be careful, hating the feeling that there was nothing she could do to help in this situation. Julian's sudden appearance startled her, her body involuntarily tensing at the sonic booms that erupted from the petite frame of their leader as she worked to keep them from being flanked. The plan was going to remain the same, though their leader would be teleported away, and then they would be moved two by two back to Leo's group. Turning to their blonde telekinetic, she moved towards the girl, offering a reassuring glance.

"You doing ok? If you need a break, I can release a couple lightning bolts to hold everyone back while we get to cover." It was a lot to ask of one person - to protect them all inside a little invisible hamster ball - but, she knew that if anyone could, it was Aurelie. If she needed to, however, Raine would do what she could to protect her family.

Dimitri looked over to his telekinetic teammate for a short moment with a blank look on his face. His mouth was slightly open as if he was about to answer right away to her question that placed him on the spot with his female teammates as the audience. The playboy then gave the best answer he could give to her tricky question and take him out the direction of hot water. "..Yes."

Her remarks about Wukong caused Dimitri to hold back a laugh. "Ouch..I tried man." The one about burnt hair spawned funny replies in Otengam's mind. Some would have perhaps been more suitable for her if she was single, or if her boyfriend wasn't there. Even Wukong didn't seemed to be a fan of body hair on fire. Instead he went with a more lighter remark. "You're a fan of the clean shave all over then I assume?" He then looked to Wu. "Don't worry bro I don't have my barber license yet. Glitter on the other hand you may wanna double up on security for."

"Yeah I can see where you're coming from." The playboy and the siren appeared to be on the same ground in terms of freeing the ones that wanted out. She also raised a point about them breaking the law upon leaving with them. More than likely not all the people here were captured; others had just abided by the law. It was a topic one could go back and forth on with another but main points were stated. "They're criminals on both sides of the spectrum. At least the ones that go with us can attempt to help make a difference...." was also a topic that D wanted to avoid an argument over. "Its all ******** up."

Deeper into the prison, they took control of the towers and even got information on the weaponry thanks to Siege. The playboy held the butt of the M16A2 close to his r. pectoral/shoulder region for a brief moment, pointing towards the suspended weaponry Allegra had focus on. "Got it." The gun was held in his right hand and more miniature orbs of lava were fired at the guns from his left fingertips and began the melting procedure. Once finished the orbs returned to its master and his left hand was back where it was before. The two seemed to have an effective system of disarming and even shared the same brief discomfort from their leaders powers. Though it could be said afterward the playboy perhaps may have over exaggerated. "No problem." The rest of Siren's attack sound attacks onward had nearly no negative effect on Dimitri's ears.

What he didn't exaggerate on was his statement beforehand about the warm up to the real s**t going down. Dimitri had thought that sneaking in was the warm up and that escorting the prisoners while taking down MRD soldiers. The confirmation that there were no sentinels eased the playboy and the hypothesis he stated on the newcomers could have been on the money. "Good. Let them come..." The playboy had more than enough a** whoopins to give the MRD before their mission was complete.

The next one he would give would strip him of the advantage of the first strike The playboy was focused on having the barrel aimed at his MRD prisoner that he not only saw what happened prior involving Allgra's prisoner, but fell victim to Allegra's TK burst. "Oomph" As a result, Otengam was forcefully shoved to the ground. His BJJ knowledge kicked in, landing on his butt fine but still on guard from knowing how to properly fall back. With the playboy, the M16A2 escaped his possession a few meters or so away from him and the soldier then saw a window to obtain what was his.

To say it was a scramble was putting it on a pedestal that it didn't deserve to be on. The alpha saw a glimpse of the MRD making a break for the weapon and quickly rose up and closed the gap. he caught the soldier just as he went down to reach for the weapon. The playboy grasped his head in a clinch fashion and delivered 2 menacing knees on the chin of the MRD, hugged around his shoulder while he was still down and broke it by squeezing it towards his body. A painful scream left the soldier before the Playboy slapped on a textbook rear naked choke. From the power delivered from Dimitri's knees, in the same fashion as the MRD with the broken arm, to the rear naked choke released when the soldier went limp he wouldn't be a threat for the remainder of the mission. The playboy was amped as he picked up the assault gun and switched his attention back to the ladies. "You guys good?"

If they weren't they had better be good.

An enormous jet black aircraft suddenly appeared right above their position. The dimensions specifically of the aircraft were unknown, but all that the playboy knew based off appearance was that the "MRD" was bringing in some serious firepower and manpower. Dimitri's shades gazed at the airship, slight anxiety in his voice. "Not saying I don't trust your abilities Siren, but That don't look like no MRD to me." Obviously he had taken on the soldiers before but he had seen nothing like it. Their second in command however would know to well. the playboy followed Renaissance Man's orders with no delay with his gloves gripped on the handle and hand guard on the M16A2 assault gun. Their escape would be very short unfortunately with the release of an energy dome laced with electricity that had covered the entire perimeter. Nobody was getting out, or in...

During their temporary escape, he watched Glitter make an attempt to find a solution to the barrier. Unbeknownst to Playboy since they were in different areas, during the Registeration Act Storyline she was only unaffected by Sentinel's electricity attack, but it had boosted her own energy reserves. But alas, the electricity appeared to be self regenerating. She could absorb it all day, but it wouldn't help to bring this shield down. "Damn..Good s**t though Glitter."

Their leader used statements of encouragement. Like Dimitri told the MRD soldier, they had made it this far. "This can't be MRD, who the hell are these guys? For one thing, they seemed to have different attire than the gear the Alpha had grown accustomed to. Second, why would they trap their own men in the energy dome? His answer from Siren caused his memory banks to pull out a file during the sentinel attack. He had remembered hearing that term S.H.I.E.L.D from the sentinel, along with a certain someone's past affiliation with them before they went rogue. But Siren raised a damn good point; the organization was trapped with the Alphas, not the other way around. But there was still the question of "Who exactly is S.H.I.E.L.D anyway? Are they the SWAT team of the MRD?"

Dimitri moved with Allegra and her TK dome with the M16 stock resting nicely, trigger discipline on lock, fully loaded and x shades aiming towards various soldiers and prisoners. The game had changed; everyone that wasn't an Alpha was a Tango. Had Siren leave out the part where she was going dolo, Dimitri would have had her back, doing his best to pick off the soldiers with cold bullets. And for a second his sights shifted on their sudden guest before his peripheral vision, masked by his shades saw soldiers coming from a different direction. Regardless of their protection, the playboy had still shifted around and was once again amazed at his leaders versatility; taking down a dozen soldiers with minimum effort. Even though the rules were no killing, it could be said The Siren was dancing on the line of that.

"Siren" the playboy corrected Wukong. It was bad enough that they had gotten the drop on, despite the fact that the soldiers on shield's payroll had no idea who they were ******** with. The last thing that needed to be dropped were identity's. Especially the rook. It would be less stinging if the playboy corrected him, rather than someone else most likely. "She's been gone." Not gone in the sense of insanity, but gone as in here and now. Bella would return once they were home along with everyone else. Plus it was S.H.I.E.L.D they were going toe to toe with. Who was it to say they didn't have this entire spot's audio laced?

Another event they didn't need to go down was for the rookie to start losing his s**t. Not when they were getting into the needy greedy of things like they always did and not when he was doing so well in the first half. The playboy got on comm and tried to talk some sense into him, before sense would become nonexistent. "Relax Wu. you been doing good. The warm up is just over that's all. The more you stay focused like you have been, the faster we get out of here."

"It's like what Siren said. They're trapped with us".

Back to their guest, their teleporter, Eidolon that was with the Renaissance Man had came up with a solution to their problem that by the second was getting hard to get out of. The playboy's curiosity was captured, but when the specifics involved the siren and himself, that's where Eidolon had the playboys attention.

"Possibly? That sounds like you do need it. And we're Alphas. We do suicidal s**t on the regs."
Such as taking on robots the size of buildings and breaking into prisons. And that was far from touching the tip of the surface. Dimitri gave out his left black gloved hand for transportation. "If it wasn't suicidal I'd say no. What you got in mind E?" he wondered.

Brazil, Pre-Timeskip to Alkali

"BULLSHIT!" Dimitri followed 1/2 way through in his words with zero hesitation. With a simple sling of his hand towards a section of the wall 2 meters away from Oliver he sent a sphere the size of a beach ball. Oliver had rolled to the opposite way on motor instinct. When he regained his ground he looked over to the wall out of the corner of his eye, shocked to see his pictures and decorations covered in molten lava. It covered 3 meters in length and height before it started to cool down at a speed that, it could be said that Dimitri had it clocked it in at a lower time, that section would ignite instantly.

Oliver then looked towards Dimitri, who was fueled with emotion. His hands along with his eyes were as red as a ruby crystal; one with rage. "You were still there when when we escaped. I know you were.WHERE IS SHE!?!" He roared. Revilo's eyes shifted over to glance, as if the teleporter was going to stop the Alpha like he had done before, but he was just watching this good cop/bad cop scene being played out. His arms were crossed and he was leaning against a wall close by his studies

"... that drawer in the center" Oliver motioned with a movement of his head, in the direction of a table he used for work. Dimitri was about to take a look at what was inside but Glance had stopped him. "I got it." he insisted, walking over to the dark wood desk. Out of the two, Dimitri possessed the more deadly, mutation. One that could go up with Oliver's. Which was why it was important that he kept eyes on him. Had the teen lose focus, there was a window for Oliver to transform, and they would have to deal with more than they wanted to deal with. Glance pulled the drawer open to find a yellow folder, three to be exact.

"When you two escaped, the five of us focused our attacks on that sentinel. When we succeeded, the MRD had found us. That was when made out leave as well...."
