She Bit her lip before continuing and then let out a deep sigh her voice lowering as she began this part of the tale.

"The boy snuck out of his home, Late one night when all were asleep. He took the path in the forest that he had seen many times in his dreas an uninterrupted walk through the woods seeing no man and no pokemon. His eyes followed the shadows of the forest though as he began to think of all of the things that could happen to him out there. He knew when he went home he would either be a coward or a naughty child and though he was prepared he was frightened of if he would ever come back at all."

Aya yawned lifting up her book and laying it on her chest as she instead lay down on her back. She spoke this time with a different tone. One not so weary.

" But, With each passing thought of the egg the boy's resolve grew more and more. He thought of the little pokemon inside the egg made just for him and the peace that it would bring to his town and the pokemon of the forest. 'I have to get there' he would say to himself every time that his resolve faltered. Finally the boy reached the old train station. His legs were tired and his feet hurt worse than anything he'd ever experienced. He was prepared to just grab the egg and take it home when he saw what was to face him. "

She paused for a brief effect.

" Along the steps of the Station were pokemon. Some big, Some small, Some battle scarred beyond their years. Blinking he watched as a pair at the top of the steps where he knew his egg was changed places with another pair. 'Their watching my egg!' he said astonished.

When he spoke he felt a slight tap on his elbow but before he could scream a hairy hand was over his mouth stopping the noise. 'Come with me' a voice said, and it led him into another room away from the egg. 'Who are you! I need that egg! the boy yelped at the intruder.' He saw it was a small mankey barely half the size of any he had seen before.

'I'll help you' he said. 'But we can't do it now and we can't do it that way'

The boy looked around the room to see that it would have once been the Coat check room. In the corner was a Wooden crate with the words "Lost and found" written in smooth small letters. The mankey pushed the boy to open it and inside they found a rope. ''This this this will help' the mankey shrieked with delight.

The boy bit his lip the rope was old and wouldn't hold him very long.

' Are we going to drop down from the ceiling?' he asked the mankey. The primate pokemon nodded a fierce yes.

The boy and the mankey waited till the Guards switched again and this time were a pair of Young Shinx.

'Don't worry about them' the mankey said. 'All you have to do is get to him'

The boy looked astonished at his helper but saw no visible signs of reaction. How did he know that the pokemon inside of the egg was a boy? The boy thought only he knew that.

When the two of them began to drop the boy down from a rafter over where the egg was the boys mind still raced with possiblities. Frightened he watched as his egg grew closer and closer and he hoped beyond hope it wasn't too late to save it. He was almost there when...

One, two, three He felt the rope SNAP against his weight and saw himself plummeting towards the egg. "

User Image Chopin seized in her teeth what remained of her Poffin, then hopped up on the couch beside Robin. She gave him an expectant look before turning to gnaw industriously on her treat.

The violinist stroked her back as he continued to listen. He was bent nearly double with his long chin resting in one hand, his eyes fixed on the storyteller. The boy was taking an awful lot of risk based on a dream. And just what was this Mankey up to? Why was he helping the boy? Did he mean to betray the Pokémon tribe, or to reconcile them with the humans?

When Aya described the snapping of the rope, Robin couldn't help but gasp. Embarrassed at the interruption, he blushed faintly and muttered "Pardon me."

Aya chuckled when Robin gasped snapping out of her trance. Looking back down at the notebook she opened her mouth to finish the story.

"The boy fell a few feet before landing on the side of the nest rolling with the egg off of the side of the train stations platform. His eyes were wide as he held the egg to his chest the pokemon who finally saw him shrieking a warning and all of the tribe gathering to watch in horror as boy and egg fell the 14 feet to the ground."

She paused for effect.

" As they neared the ground one pokemon came out of the shadows. It was the aged Primape leader and he and two of his followers leapt to action dragging anything soft that was within reach to assist in them catching him. The boy landed on the small pile of stuff and let out a breath... till he realized they were all watching him.

All the pokemon were gathered now staring at the boy. The Mankey that had been helping him he saw was nowhere to be found... His eyes grew wide as the pokemon began to talk amongst themselves. He couldn't understand their language but he could see they weren't going to let him leave.

The Leaders looked amongst themselves. How had this child gotten in? Why had he taken the egg? The Persian was all for spooking the child into leaving. 'Scare him' she said 'little boys are a nuisance'

But the primape king held back that thought. 'the child knows something' he said quietly.

As they were talking something unexpected happened.

In the boys hands the egg began to shake. First gently and then roughly as the baby pokemon inside tried its hardest to escape. Everyone's eyes widened and the boy felt his heart leap into his throat. The egg cracked and the boy looked down into it to see a horn poking through. When the baby finally broke free the boy could see it was a little Unicorn Red, white and blue.

The boy and the pokemon all stared in silence at the little pokemon.

The Pyroar king made his voice heard first. 'This egg remained unhatched until now why did you stay inside child?' he yelled to the little Kaledeo.

The Baby pokemon looked at him and in his smallest voice said ' He is my boy' we are a team.

In surprise the pokemon looked at eachother. The captured never returned to the tribe... They even looked for another trainer after being released. Is there something to that?

The Pokemon thought to themselves before coming up to the boy and rubbing at his hands and face. They accepted him as a member of the tribe from that day. And the boy in return never returned to the city till he was much older preferring to live with his "Family" in the station where he preserved their way of life for the rest of his own."

Aya looked up at Robin to signal the story was over and see his reaction.

{{{Sorry it was so late ><''}}}

User Image Robin kept determinedly silent as Aya finished the tale.

He looked thoughtful as the story ended and the storyteller glanced his way. "Keldeo," he mused. "I did not recognize it when you first described it, but the name rang a bell."

He continued, "I sense there might be a connection between the Primeape king and the Mankey who helped the boy. Both being of the same line and the least hostile toward the boy, it seems too much of a coincidence."

Robin smiled at his friend. "I'm glad for the happy ending, but I'm curious about why the boy was so ready to leave his human family behind, and about his return to the city, and whether the humans at large and the wild Pokémon would ever become more friendly with one another. Do you think you might continue the story, or does it end here?"

Opening her mouth Aya thought over the question for a moment. "Mhmmm I don't know. I write as I think so maybe any of that's true. I don't think I'll know unless of course I think of this story again sometime soon." She blushed fiercely now that she was out of the trance of reading she could see Robin fully and his appearance made her smile. He looked calm and happy with chopin lying there. She wondered if he would come visit her in motterossa after this.
