She could tell he thought of himself as one of a kind, unlike any other person but without realizing it, he was being self-centered. All because of the result of the upper class family life.. Arturia looked out the window as Hikaru spoke, sounding like her mother, questioning why she would let a male into her own apartment. This caused Arturia to quietly sigh to herself and roll her eyes inwardly. While staring out the cafe window, Arturia answered Hikaru in a rather flat tone, "You aren't just 'some man.' When I first meet people, I am usually able to distinguish whom I can trust and whom is untrustworthy. Typically I'm right with my judgement." Arturia turned away from the window to face Hikaru and spoke again. "I may act carefree but I am very perceptive and know what to do." It was the first time Arturia had ever said anything like this to anyone. She usually hid that side of herself from others, not trusting anyone enough to tell. Hikaru was different from the others she had conversed with before, and felt she could trust him somewhat more. However, it did not mean she told the absolute truth, only a fragment.

Hikaru wondered what Arturia meant by saying the he wasn't just some man. They had only just met so to her that's all he should be, even if they were acquaintances they still didn't know much about each other. When Arturia looked away and then continued to speak Hikaru questioned why she avoided eye contact to say that. "You do see as bit carefree but I didn't think that you were completely unperceptive. But perception can be deceived."

In the inside, she just shook her head. She decided she'd lighten up the mood and ended up smiling, "Perception can be deceived, though I doubt my instincts have ever proven me wrong." Arturia was getting bored and was relieved when her food arrived. She thanked the waitress and smiled as she saw another waitress bring a pot of hot water to the table. After the waitresses left, Arturia took out her brewing strainer, placing her green tea leaves in it. She then placed the strainer into the pot of water and let the tea brew. "Hmm, do you have anything you'd like to talk about or discuss? I figured you must be tired of me leading all these conversations. Oh and the tea, how strong would you like it? I typically drink it strong, but if you don't like it too strong that's no problem."Waiting for Hikaru's response, Arturia took a bite of her sandwich, providing relief for her starved stomach.

Hikarudecided to drop the subject since Arturia firmly believed that she always was careful. When asked to lead the conversation he didn't really know what to say. "I don't mind you bringing up the subjects because there isn't one specific thing that I would like to talk about." He told her as he watched her make the tea. The way he drank green tea at his house was like this for my casual times but when guests were over and his mother was trying to make an impression she'd do a japanese tea ceremony. "As for the strength of my tea..." He started to say before his phone rang. "Pardon me." He said before standing up and going over to the corner to answer his phone. After a moment he came back and said "That was a servant of my family. It seems that my family is sending him to pick me up. Some of them have come to America for business and would like me to explain a few things to them since they have never been here. I apologize for leaving you like this. Maybe we could meet up another time, yes?" He said before saying a proper goodbye and leaving.

She didn't want to upset him.. She bit her lip and looked down, not really sure what to say now. "U-um.." She bit her lip, then looked at him through her bangs, a slightly panicked look crossing her face as she saw him start crying. "W-what's w-w-wrong?!" She raised her voice slightly above a whisper, clearly dismayed. She hadn't meant to upset him so much! Her shoulders hunched slightly and she seemed to shrink down in her seat. She glanced up at him, then looked down again. She didn't know what to do.. She wanted to try to comfort him, but she didn't know how. She wasn't really used to being around people, so all she really could do was sit there helplessly. When he spoke, she looked at him again with a sad, lost kind of expression. She hadn't asked to know anything, but it seemed he wanted to tell her something, so she just nodded mutely. She watched him blow his nose, then listened to him speak.. Her eyes widened in shock and she stared at him. "W-what?!" Once again, her voice was raised to just above the feather soft whisper she normally spoke in. After all, she hadn't had one of her own. She frowned a little bit and looked down again, trying and failing to understand how it could be possible to truly not care about what happened to one's family. She just.. Couldn't imagine any situation in which she wouldn't care about anyone that took her in. She listened silently to what he said, but didn't say anything. She reached out to pick up her drink, noticing that her hand was shaking slightly, but tried to hid it by taking a sip of her latte.. I had learned some things. Out there... there are no emotions, just bloodshed, pain, and suffering... So, the person who protected me taught me to shield my heart, not to show emotions... of course, I've learned emotions from reading, but I personally never felt any of them... The positive ones anyway."
Kristopher scoffed. He felt bad that he was telling Selene all about his past, since it was his motto to keep it secret. "The only person who truly knows about my past was my foster mother, and she sacrificed her life for me." He slammed his fist against the desk, knocking over what was left of his coffee. "Gah..."

She frowned slightly.. Now she felt sorry for him. Sure, she had lived on the streets ever since the orphanage she had lived at burned down, so she knew what he meant, but.. It seemed so sad, to never experience any positive emotions. Despite how her life had been, at least there had been some happiness in it, though not really very much. She opened her mouth like she was going to say something, then jumped a little and shrank down in her seat when he hit the table.. An act which subsequently knocked over their drinks. Which he kept mentioning it to Elena just to embarrass her which he found was priceless. When they reached the cafe he walked inside and continued to carry her and asked for some coffee and a muffin. "What do you want?" Richard asked Elena and when she ordered he carried her to a table. Stopping he was wondering how he could continue to embarrass her then he knew how. Sitting down he put her on his lap just so she could stay close to him adjusting himself so he and Elena could be comfortable. "When they call out for our stuff you might have to pay" Richard said, signifying that when they ordered she could get off his lap.

Her eyes flashed red and back again as she tried to rein in her emotions and stop herself from using her powers on him. The teasing had been one thing. Even the kiss, though a little much, was probably what she'd deserved. But now he was taking things a little too far. She needed to do something just to let everything out. She had to scream or shout or hit something. Anything to calm herself down.
