There were so many people on this staircase aside from her but if she didn't look up she never would have known it. Silence still prevailed and it was making her hair stand on end. Her pace started to slow for a moment, her body telling her to stop but she knew she couldn't. The top was where everything would end and that's where she needed to be.

This time, the words gave Taima pause. What had they been created for? Obviously it hadn't been to live their lives as they saw fit. In the end, they were all pawns in the Voice's game. Their kingdom especially had seemed designed as a deliberate cesspool of corruption and decay. Would losing it really be so bad? They weren't real anyway, right? That truth, once known, put everything else in perspective. They weren't marching to their deaths, they were just fulfilling their ultimate purpose. That made it a little easier to swallow. She tugged on G's hand, encouraging him ever upward. OOC Character Name: Taima Current HP remaining: 50/50 On Step: G Character description: Taima is short and slender, almost waifish.  Having taken the lead again between the two of them, Shun kept his gaze on the steps ahead. This tower was huge. In the back of his mind he had to wonder just what purpose there was to building a grand tower when it was mostly filled with stairs? Here was the Voice again, so startlingly loud against the true silence. But at the same time he noticed how strange its voice was now becoming. It didn't seem as strong to Jay anymore. If she wasn't real, how could she still exist? She laughed and kept walking.

Making her way carefully on Mitsu was pressed against the wall that hugged one side of the staircase to help keep herself up. To a point she wished there was a break in the scenery. Maybe a picture or a nice potted plant. The silver tower was kind of plain as a whole not that the white kingdom had been colorful but....this was on a different level.

Pressing forth, Shun paused for just a moment as he heard the voice, sounding as though it were begging him. His eyes narrowed. The Voice had nothing to offer for him. That wasn't to say there wasn't a slight temptation but quite frankly, there was no way that he could be bribed out of this. He had a job to complete here. Like hell he was going to go away until he was done with that job. He needed to see this through if he wanted to save Xiu. Hell. He wondered if there was the risk of being stuck in this place if they failed. That was not allowed.
