Flicking her wrist in Xiu's direction, having jumped back to avoid any further glaive slicing, Gene once again summoned the octopus to attack her target. It charged forward with all it's might, but only managed to slap her with an ethereal tentacle.
Well...it was something, she supposed. Thankfully once this business was over, she wouldn't have to rely on this thing anymore.

That time around, Shun was more prepared as he managed to only get nicked by the glaive. Xiu was infuriated. Shaking his head, he just crouched down and brought his daggers up.
"I'm sorry. But to get her back, you need to die," he said quietly. It was easier fighting Xiu than it was to fight Mitsu. The way she was reacting was different than how he would imagine the real Baku to.
And for that he was glad for. His 'little sister' was not someone he wished death upon.
And so he slashed at her once again.

It came out of no where, one second he was focused on the girl with the wolves, the next, some one just came out of nowhere, and boom. It was over without even a chance to defend himself.
The pain was like fire as he exploded from the blessing attack as the stone lion hit him. Miasma burned everywhere as they both died. He didn't even have the chance to be afraid as he clung to life in his last moments.
This man was just....what was wrong with him? In his full set of armor she thought that surely he would be a worthy opponent, though to be fair all she had really been concerned with to start with was exacting revenge on he who would touch the butt.
Only Lan touched the butt.
And so, when he had yet to land a single blow on her, she found herself getting bored, and wondering if it might be best to just move on. Obviously this was just going to be a massacre, otherwise. But no, she could give him one more chance, and she crossed her arms over her barely covered chest, arching an eyebrow at him..

Cover? Olivia cast Molan a pathetic look, "I don't think there is any cover around here," it was just bodies moving against bodies and what good would it really do to hide?
Not like she was doing much good just being in the way though. She wasn't a fighter, it was obvious, but what else could she do? (question of the day!) It had been silly to throw herself out, but ... well, she didn't know.
Her eyes drifted to the sky for a split moment, odd movements catching her attention. At first she thought they were simply clouds shifting and changing with the currents of the sky, but had they been there before? It was distorting and cracking and paling in color and ... well, she just basically had no idea.
She looked back at the battles before her, to Molan, shaking her head as an urge passed and went. Her thoughts let it be as she tried to figure out what to do.

Riley couldn't wait for his answer. She wanted to, oh, how she wanted to.. but she could see the world crumbling around them. Did he even see it? Did anyone? Riley wrenched her eyes away from the image of her best friend, and slammed herself into Xiu, screeching violently. There was no denying it, now. Riley was not the person the King had once thought she was.
She was a monster.

What was this garbage? Get who back? Shun wasn't making any sense at all, and Gene's reply only served to anger her further. Were they playing dumb? Fueled by rage, Xiu said nothing as she swept her weapon out again and tried to take the two traitors--the two fakes--down.
And then after that, somehow, she would focus on finding the real Shun and Gene.

Gilly eyes went wide as Miss Riley explained what was going on. She watched as her country men were attacking the King that she loved. She didn't want to believe that the Xiu that was there was not her Xiu. They looked the same, moved the same. She looked into Rileys eyes and saw the sadness inside, she... she would not do these things, unless what she said was true. She knew they all loved xiu. She wiped the tears from her eyes, and got out of Miss Riley's way. She opened her delivery box and took out a soup bowl and a pair of chopsticks.
"Miss King Xiu, for you and because we love you and want to save you." She steadied her gaze and bowed in deep respect. "Wo ai ni."
Then conjured up battle noodles to defet the imposter!
"Died? Rosy nows not a time for joki- " His words were cut short when his friend took a swing at him, dodging back from it he growled but was unable to draw back on her in retaliation instead he simply put his hands up in defense and glared at her.
Rosy. She..couldn't be turning on him. How could she, his heart broke as he listened to her words. She had gone temporarily insane that had to be it.
"Rosy. You've gone mad from battle stand down or I will attack you.," Though he threatened with a stern tone his eyes told a different story, that he would never be able to strike her.

He raised his sword, intending to attack the figure again, but at the last second before he let his stroke fall, his eyes inexplicably flickered upwards, to the sky above his head.

It was chaos, absolute chaos. All the energies, the colors mixing and disappearing swirling in an out in a vortex of rainbows that faded and appeared. This was war. Sepheran gripped the dagger in his hand trying to find some defenseless being to attack, instead he found himself drawn to another. Someone he recognized from the Kingdom who was family and yet not. Either way they were family right now and Sepheran always protected his family.
The way the girl just stood there in the open...so defenseless. He sighed lightly to himself before dashing forward positioning himself in front of the young lady his back to her. "Don't just stand there in a daze woman! You'll get yourself killed," Sepheran stated arm in a defensive position towards the brute of the battle. "I've seen enough of the family die already, can't have you be doing the same thing," Sepheran stated doing his best to speak and defend at the same time.
