[[RP Between Sparkles and Ares, a further development of their relationship - please do not post.]]

How long had it been? She wasn't entirely sure but the fact still remained that she had been beyond antisocial for the longest period of time. No one could fault her given that instead of remaining in the Kawani lands she had wandered home for a family reunion. However, now that she had returned she couldn't help but feel like somethign was amiss - it was the changing seasons no doubt but she hadn't put two and two together just yet.

Nevertheless, with a flick of her lion like tail she proceeded along the base of the mountains at a relaxed lop. Scarcely above a walk, she admired the once again changing surroundings and the impact the seasons had upon it. Whether it be the changing leaves or the sprouting of new buds, there was something new to look at in these lands.

...Quite unlike her own that rarely changed given the location.

Alas, with a soft snort she eventually reached her destination, coming to a halt on the small hill that looked down upon an otherwise undisturbed stream. Her chosen 'abode' while in the kawani lands, she had come to recognise the scent and to love the warmth provided from the 'bushy' trees located nearby. She couldn't quite say it was home but she could argue that it was somewhat comparable in that regard...

A small smile appearing on her equine lips, she pushed forward once more and drifted nearer to the stream. Once she was settled no doubt she would seek company elsewhere but right now she needed a little breather.

A different face stumbled upon lands that were unknown to him. Then again he was new to the entire kawani lands. Pink pupils and blue irises drifted over bushels of woodland. He was meeting new soquili every which way he turned. Not to mention gorgeous mares perhaps that could even rival his own beauty.

Long curled locks of black, blue and pink draped over his shoulders like a curtain. It even partially covered his unicorn horn due to its thickness. He whickered softly, he didn’t know where he was and though he was brave he still liked company. After all he had a rather huge family that he had left to start a new life here. He was used to having familiar faces there beside him, to support him.

He had gotten to know most of his teepee mates; he enjoyed all of their company though sometimes they had a bit of an attitude. Though who didn’t have an attitude these days?

Silvered hooves crunched in the grass as his ears flickered to the sound of a stream. His ears perked up as his own smile spread across his face just for the enjoyment of quenching his thirst.

That sound wasn't difficult to detect and it was with the 'crunch' that the mare's ears perked forward and she lifted her head to inspect the appoaching creature. Given the weight of the crunch she could only assume that this particular visitor was significantly larger than her usual kind and yet... The lack of soft 'drifting' created by paws indicated that it wasn't a predatorial feline either.

Ah, gone were the days when she didn't care what came near her!

However, it waas only after this had processed through her brain that she detected the faint whisper of a whicker upon the winds. Never one to tell her a lie, the spirits assured her that this was genuine and not a mockery of her kind as humans had been so inclined to try as of late. Well fancy that, once again the spirits had granted her wish and permitted her to hve company. They really did spoil her rotten but who was she to say anything about that?

Returning the whicker, she readjusted her footing to make herself more comfortable and weighted.

The appearence of anxiety and worry fled from his face as another returned his call, and quite feminine if he had heard correctly. Though as a foal he was mistaken for a girl, until he started bulking up and his muscle seemed to equal the massive amounts of hair he had achieved over the years.

His hooves kept crunching as the others scent drew closer and his mind kept wondering what the other would look like. But as he entered the brush, he was completely taken a back. An off white, female unicorn with high lights of pink. Holy cow. He smiled in a charming like manner before nickering a greeting and doing a sweeping bow before her. "I do not hope I've intruded M'lady." he added to his entrance as he watched her with his unique colored eyes. His voice seemed to slide so easy of the tongue that you would want to hear more. It was neither harsh nor rough. But a smoothness that most would find hard to achieve.

Oh ho! So it hadn't been a kalona at all, coiling herlion-like tail around her hind leg in her usual fashion, she afforded a warm smile as the stallion approached. Admittedly, he had the most peulir eyes and while he may have been a unicorn...well... She had a slight supieriority complex when it came to unicorns. Having always been brought up in a certain way, she believed that a pink unicorn was much more impressive than any other colour.

...Her father was, afterall, riddled with pink daples. It was where she had received her pelt from!

Nonetheless, while this particular stllion may have been black she had to approve of his attempts to apply 'pink' to his being. They weren't as bright as she would have wanted but then again they complimented his form and current pelt rather well. Therefore he could be excused for his lack of pink - as were most males in the Kawani.

They just held nothing on her father.

"Ah, no intrusion has been made!" Smiling pleasantly the mare adjusted her footing once again and canted her head to the side. The months had passed and the scars had long since vanished from her neck returning her to her former glory. "These lands are not mine, I simply enjoy the view." she explained dutifully, her smile growing at his rather peculiar bow.

Oh ho ho so he was one of them!

A rake or a gentleman? With that voice it was a little difficult to tell.

'You will forgive me for saying that I cannot bow, my co-ordination is lacking in that department.'

The male quirked his brow and started to chuckle softly, "Who would I be to make a lady bow before me?" He trotted closer to her as his own thick lion like tail swayed behind him in an constant motion as he was close enough to take in her scents. "May I ask whom the beautiful mare's name who stands before me?"

Even though he seemed almost femine his facial structure screamed masculine. The thick curls swept at his knees as he let his gaze fall on her. "I don't believe I've met a unicorn in quite sometime." he smiled softly. "Not that anyone else is much different, their is just something about unicorns that makes me feel....safe?" he shrugged his shoulders as he let his gaze soften slightly.

Oh she knew he was male, he had that typical lop that no make was capable of hiding. Even if she had disregarded his voice, his facial structure - she would have ultimately had the suspicion that he was a mle to begin with. This was of course unsurprising given that this particular female often found herself in the company of males - she was a master of telling them apart.

Sort of.

Nevertheless as he requested her name a smile did toy upon her lips and she released a gentle chuckle. Ah, without fail it was always the general introduction to any conversation in the Kawani lands, there was no sense of being anonymous - all must know a name. This suited her well of course given that she was quite content for everyone to know of and enjoy her company.

"They call me Sparkles, though most call me Sparks for short," truth be told it wasn't that much of a shortened down version of her name at all. "However I assure you that there are plenty of Unicorns within these lands, I have met many myself though the forest is not a common dwelling for them." she released a loose shrug at this before offering another of her usual smiles.

"And you are?"

The male looked to her and without a second thought he spoke, "Well if they are anything like you I would never turn down the company." he winked. He was a casual flirt and he knew it. It was part of him and he had accepted it.

Though he wasn't just a flirt he made sure he pulled through on everything for his lovely ladies.

"I am called Adonis." he replied with pride. He loved who he was and what he had become no matter his past and he wasn't going to let any one tear him down for it. He let his own lion like tail wrap around his legs.

[[Sorry I should have warned that I don't RP at the weekend because I play WoW in my spare time. It's the only time I get now. xD *RPs while in college and work*]]

Sparkles was unaware of the meanng behind his name, she wasn't aware of the origin of it or what it truly represented either. Having never been brought up in a society such as the Greeks or Romans, it had never been brought up in conversation and thus - she was oblivious. To her it was simply a peculiar name, while her name brought smile's to those nearby, his with it's oddball origins may very well do the same!

She didn't say this verbally though, she had her manners.

"In answer to your question, the majority of unicorns are pleasant. Like ever one we do have our bad moments though," she smiled at this, recalling the moodswings her mother often went through. Ah yes, one moment she could be perfectly amicable the next moment she would be furious at someting small that her father hadn't paid attention to (which was usually her).

"But I thank you for the compliment all the same," chuckling, she took the opportunity to observe him at closer quarters and shook her head, "But why is such a bright stallion hiding in a forest?"

"I could ask you the same thing love." Yes, he was quick on his wits nothing less. Though sometimes he had come off strong, most mares soaked it up as he watched stallions from a far sizzle with wrath and envy which weren't a good pair.

"True, but I try to maintain my composure around most. I've only gotten frazzle on a few occasions." he smirked.

Did he just call her a stallion?

No, he had simply responded to the 'brigt' aspect of her previous question and she rolled her eyes. Accustomed to hearing it everytime she entered the forest, no one had ever really brought two and two together to realise that she lived in this forest! That was the reason she resided in here, to gain warmth and shelter from the trees - she simply wandered onto the plains each day to say hello to the world.

Nevertheless, accustomed to compliments on a regular basis...Sparkles didn't so much giggle and soak them up, as accept them with grace and gratitude. She had heard to many 'beauty' comments in her life for them to have quite the same impact on her. They made her feel good, but she already knew she was pretty!

"Oho, and why would one such as you frazzle? It seems odd given your composure already."
PostPosted: Tue Feb 05, 2008 12:58 pm

His mind reeled wondering how to respond to the female’s question. His brows furrowed. He had badly injured many stallions who insisted on messing with his harem, especially his beloved Shaire. Multi-toned eyes finally met hers before he responded with a soft voice, “You will always find those who can push your buttons.”

“And when the time comes you do deeds you never thought you were capable of.” He walked closer to her so he could feel the slightest breath from her touch his chest and he was looking down at the line of her neck.

“Are you often alone, here?” he asked with the sound of innocence and non-threatening.

Ah, and intrusion of personal space and one that would often have been disputed by another soquili. However, Sparkles did nothing more than arch her neck to give a little more distance and lifted her brow. He was an odd one, he made such subtle moves and yet there was something about how he moved that made her wonder. Though he seemed harmless there was just something...

Meh - she never could understand the riddles her instincts gave her.

Nevertheless, she considered his question for a few moments and then promptly cracked a smile. It was well known by now that Sparkles hated to be alone at night given her fear of the dark. Thus, to be asked if she was often alone was somewhat ironic but an easy question to answer all the same - even if it wasn't the desired one.

"Rarely," she replied smoothly, a wistful smile lining her equine lips. "I have some form of company or another most days!"
PostPosted: Tue Feb 19, 2008 2:35 pm

"Really?" he asked with the softest smirk. His eyes seemed to gleam now as if he were completely enthralled with the conversation.

His tail flicked behind him as he watched her, there would never be an awkward silence in his prescence if he had the choice. He also didn't like to start interogatting so he tried to make himself as sociable and friendly as possible.

"So if your rarely alone, may I assume you have a mate or male companion if not mate?" he asked again with soft tones that would make not even a stranger weary.

"Ah, well no..." she confessed after a few moments and released a giggle from her equine lips. The ever bemused expression still upon her youthful features she had always found the assumption to be a funny one. Males were as fleeting as she was (with the exception of her father), her mother had taught her that - actually she had said it so many times that Sparkles simply knew no better.

As a result, the very idea of being bound to one male seemed to be ridiculous, it wasn't that she disliked the idea. Personally, she would have loved the opportunity to have a mate, especially if he was as loyal and caring as her father was but it just wouldn't happen. Her mother said so and after everything Sparkles had expressed she would have to say her mother was right!

"I have a companion, he's an otter but no mate!" Coiling her tail around her back leg again, she canted her head to the side and smiled warmly. This stallion really was an odd one, his expression much different from those she had encountered before but then again he was as strange to these lands as she was and foreigners were always a bit odd...

"Males come and go but friendship is forever, might I enquire as to why you ask such a thing?"
