"Sure," replied Texas, not realizing how hungry he was until Mirai said something. When was the last time he had eaten? As he recalled, Herald had abducted him in the middle of lunch. "I'm down for whatever ya got." He looked over to where she was when she mentioned her father's plans. "Do you know anything else?" He asked her curiously.

Texas began eating hungrily as well. He wondered if she was keeping anything from him. He hated that. But he would have her back no matter what. No more being jumped or running off on his own. He vowed they would work as a team. "It's really good," Texas told her as they ate.

"I never would have guessed," complimented Texas with a grin. "Do you think....your mom and dad are gonna have to fight?" He asked her as he leaned back on the couch, hoping it wasn't a sensitive subject for her.

"I mean all out," Texas replied. "You know, a full fight to the death."

Texas sat up slightly as he looked at Mirai. "We're gonna help them find Atticus right?" He asked her, though he was fairly sure of the answer. "The thought of Scarlet having control over him makes me sick."

Texas nodded as he heard Mirai. "Yeah, we will for sure." He paused for a moment as he finished eating and put the bowl to the side. He stared at Marai for a long moment before he spoke again. "I wanna fight you," he said out of the blue. "Not like a fight fight, but a spar. I know I won't be able to beat you because of the witch/demon combination you have, but I want to make you work hard to beat me." He sat up from where he was leaning on the couch. He needed to prove himself. After the incident with losing Marai to the Blackwings after being soundly defeated and then being crushed by Herald, he was burning to make up for it and to show Marai he was capable of putting up a good fight. He realized his last two opponents, Chilia and Herald were both kishins and therefore losing to them didn't really say anything negative about his strength, but he was tired of getting creamed without being able to put up a fight. It had been eating at him ever since it happened. "Oh, but you can't use the control you have over this realm as an advantage," he added.

Texas grinned as he hopped off the couch. "Alright!" he said as he walked towards the door and opened it, stepping back out into Charlotte's otherworldly domain. He had learned from the past year that Charlotte's dimension could easily repair itself; something he had been worried about the first time they sparred. They had wrecked part of the realm and when Charlotte had unexpectedly returned, Texas was sure they were going to get yelled at. But she hadn't seemed to mind in the slightest and as soon as they were done it was as if they had never fought. He was glad for that: he didn't have to hold back here. He stretched his arms above his head as he waited for Mirai to join him. He had a grin on his face. He was always excited about a good fight, even if it was just sparring. Mirai had practically made his day.

Texas gave Mirai a nod as he finished stretching. "If you insist," he replied, turning his arm into a flame sword. He began increasing his wavelength drastically, easily outstripping Mirai's while she was at rest. He was gonna get the first shot off alright. Flames jumped from the ground as he launched himself forward, pulling his arm back to swing straight at her. Just as he was almost there he quickly changed position, his arm flashing from a flame sword to a flamethrower. He launched a stream of flame directly at her; it would reach her a lot faster than the blade would have.
