The barrier held, blocking the hunter's attack, projectiles bouncing harmlessly off the frozen plasma of his wings.
As the ice dissolved, the dragon roared, a single beat of his wings holding him in the air above the hunter. She was about to find out she was not the only one capable of long range attacks!
A roar, the dragon's maw parted to spew several fireballs in the hunter's direction.

Aurian almost mistook the woman in the black coat for a denizen of HalloweenTown. However, there was no way that one of their own kind would be healing a Hunter. The weapon she held was also a give-away.
Cursing herself for not being fast enough to prevent the woman from healing a nearly-dead Hunter, Aurian leapt into the fray with her scythe.
... Maybe it she'd remained calm, she might have hit something.

To say the least, Ryan was pretty shocked when the tile beneath his feet exploded. He knew that they had different effects, but he had kind of been hoping that it was like the one he was standing on in the previous room. The one that healed him. Too bad for him, that wasn't the case.
Cursing lightly, he got back to his feet, steadying himself before he looked around the room for the one creature responsible for breaking his concentration earlier. As it turned out, it was none other than the girl he was attacking in the room before.
"Weren't you just..." He moved to point in the direction he assumed the conquest room was, but stopped himself. He shouldn't be surprised to find them here as well. If the hunters could make it out, so could they.

Someone smacked him from behind, and Gale staggered forward, his head ringing. He spun around, catching sight of a female creature with blonde hair, and Gale twisted the rifle in his hands. He slid backwards on the ice, trying to regain his footing, and fired off several shots, only one of which hit.
He was starting to feel very tired. Blood dripped from his arm down to the floor, smearing across the ice, and warily Gale wiped his forehead, leaving a streak of red behind.

That was amazing - to feel warm again! The fae turned round - and enraged attacked the Hunter: 'I feel alive!' - they yelled happily. Unfortunately, frozen or alive, they missed - their blade slid by the Hunter's chest without hurting him.

The breeze of a passing scythe prompted Aria to spin and duck, placing space between her and -- Aria stared at Aurian. This was not a human. Reaper. "You shouldn't have done that," Aria growled, raising her flamethrower and pointing it at Aurian, returning the attack with one of her own.

Whirling after his lunge at the blonde reaper, Jove caught sight of a familiar face. He remembered this one, the short one who tried to keep himself and Hairless prisoners on that Jack-forsaken island to be gutted open by crazy humans in rainbow stockings. In his rage, it seemed like as good a target as any.
Leaping forward, claws still skidding on the frozen tiles, the ghost aimed for the little hunter known as Gale.

Her phone began to ring. Aria answered it, answering quickly and curtly before slamming it shut and shoving it back into her pocket. Quickly, she made her way over to Lance and spoke with him briefly. As one they turned, and began to act.
As the students and trainees fought, the two experienced hunters were busy working in tandem. Fire, ice, and fire again; they seemed to take turns attacking. The wheelchair-bound hunter had hidden his weapon away and was using a runic flamethrower, his fires a harsh red in comparison to the hunter-blue of Aria's.
But they weren't attacking the students. They had something else in mind.
At an unseen signal the two redirected their efforts, Lance re-summoning his lance and assist Aria in clearing out a path towards the wall. They reached it and turned, as if they were defending something. But what? There was nothing there, and the battle was still going on --
A loud, sharp crack! could be heard as the stone in the middle of the floor buckled and shattered. The wound seemed to spread, the jagged lines ripping the floor into pieces and creating large dangerous shards. It seemed as if the floor began to cave in.
Behind the two hunter leads, a portal snapped into existence. "Over here!" Aria called, beckoning with a free hand towards the trainees. "Quickly! We'll cover you." She raised her weapon and fired off a stream of blue fire towards a student who wandered too close, following the attack with a swift kick. Next to her, Lance was giving similar treatment to another student by means of stabbing them through the chest.
BOSS FIGHT PHASE 3: TOTAL ROOM HP 0/300 STUDENTS: - The room is CRUMBLING. Students need to escape from the room! Simply stay in the room to dissipate to your untimely death/ reappear back at the portal, or write in an EXIT post. Famine is left; see below to determine WHICH boss you face against! - HP is not restored unless you force yourself to dissipate in which there is that 6 hour OOC cooldown before moving to the next battle thread. - If your student helped down this boss, for EACH PHASE that your student participated in, they get 1 Four Clans point to be used in the raffle or minis redeem. The max you can earn is 3. - The Hunter portal is inaccessible. Should your character attempt to approach, Lance or Aria will automatically kill your student and force them to dissipate. There is no way to make it past them. HUNTERS: - THE ROOM IS CRUMBLING and a temporary portal has been set up, it looks like Hunters are being called into another room. - If you are KO'd, just say Aria or Lance picked you up on their way, slapped a bandage on you, then chucked you into the portal. Restore your HP to 50% and roll (below) to determine where you go. EVERYONE MUST NOW ROLL ONE 10-SIDED DICE: - If you roll even, go HERE. - If you roll odd, go HERE. The dice will determine WHICH of the last two rooms you go to! This goes for EVERYONE: Halloween and Hunter alike!
