Uh oh. Mercedes flashed a glance to Cass when her name was called. Should she comply she must not fail.. and this was a task more than likely too independent for her first mission out. Miss Chenoweth was now stuck with a dilemma. Waving one of Hadjoc on the air she nodded. "I think I can-" she looked over to Marcus and Bix and then back once more to Cass. "Handle it," she finished and started trudging over through the snow to the moon and sun hunters whom she'd yet to meet. Save the intros for later, now was not the time. Doing a sort of courtesy before the men she awaited their further instruction. She had no ******** clue what awaited on the other side of the door but staying near the facility rather than venturing more in the yeti-infested snow seemed like a better idea in her mind. Lufrednow. Gniht yhself deracs? Please, not now... you can't be against me all of the time..

Rep was still busy winding up Tracey with thoughts of battle when movement caught his peripheral vision, making him look up. But of course, like before, all he saw was snow, snow and more snow. And then... a flash of red.
He barely had times to even brace himself before he was sent flying backwards, through some absolute miracle of gravity landing on his feet with a thud, pausing for a moment to look genuinely impressed. Yes. He totally meant that. It was totally badass and intentional. Even if it had ******** hurt his knee.
He laughed again at Tracey's change of heart, strung out as he was with the prolonged charge.
"Fine, lets see what we can do."
And without wasting any more time, he leapt forward to attack the bugger, getting a little tired of being kicked around today.

Candace smiled. "Good, good...can I have a kiss to make it feel better~?" She asked with a low purr, leaning in close. ******** time and place. She wanted him. Or at least she wanted him until another ******** yeti burst into the building. Candace gasped and whirled around as the yeti roared, stumbling back against the counter with wide eyes. "What the hell.." She frowned. "I was about to ask if that was really an actual monster and not some a*****e in a...but...wh..how did...where the hell did the blood..." It had to be fake. It had to be. "Mercedes, Molly. Feng." Candace pushed off the counter, rubbing at her head sigh a sigh. She was fine. "We're letting you guys take the reigns fighting it. We'll help you when you need it though."

He smiled up at Candace - an actual smile, not just a halfhearted twist of his lips - and gave a small laugh, shaking his head as she hugged him. "Yes, well, plugging it in may or may not have crossed my mind, believe it or not."
Nodding at her suggestion, Gale pressed his lips together thoughtfully, still idly twisting his fingers around the barrel of the rifle as he said musingly "So we take the backseat while they work on getting their bearings as hunters. Got it."
Candace kissed his cheek, which was very nearly the shade of a fire truck, but then let go, and Gale, casting a glance over his shoulder at the hunter as she walked away, shook his head, the smile still on his face. She could be abrasive, and sometimes tease him a bit too much for her own good, but Candace really was quite all right.
Sydney's determination was a good sign - Gale gave her a nod, hoping some of the red would dissipate from his cheeks, and stepped forward, dragging the rifle up and resting it against his shoulder, his other hand on his hip as he surveyed the wreckage of the room.
"Okay," he said. "What - "
Except he didn't quite get a chance to finish what he was saying, since at that moment there was a deafening crash and the yeti from before - quite a bit bloodier than the last time, its eyes crazed - came crashing into the facility, letting out a furious, howling roar.
<< Somebody's not happy. >>
I wouldn't be either, if I looked like that.
Cocking the rifle, Gale took several steps backwards, shifting behind Sydney. He would back her, keep himself ready, but for now it was not his fight.
"Time to show me some of that Mist fighting spirit - Maddie," he called out, gesturing to the other Death hunter. "Dillon - get out there and fight - Maddie, be ready if we need to step in."

"Are you SERIOUS?!?" Mercedes yelled back at the bloodied up Yeti. She was REALLY talking to hadjoc, but what was meant to be an inner thought got blurted at the snow creature. "-!!" Mercedes lurched back in shock when she realized immediate threat was immediate. AHAHAHAH! Diputs yrev os ,luohg namuh diputs! "Shut up you gnarly thing," Mercedes uttered under her breath and turned half-way to shoot at the bloodied 9and now easier to see) yeti down the way. Her job was still to guard the door! That meant she was to attack, which she nodded at, bringing up Izy and taking aim. The blood on the monster's mouth made her expression grim. This monster, whether he had been the one to attack the tent or not, was a killer.
He needed to be put down. Except... she missed entirely. Great job, Syd. Really great job. OTL

Molly was hearing an awful lot of back and forth, and still busied herself with little clearing tasks here and there…until she heard something awful. Roaring…was…there another one coming back? The young woman straightened, and Vaska seemed to be on alert, ready for more fighting…and then it came. Molly startled at the intensity with which is crashed into the base, and she was frozen for a moment at the sight of its blood stained fur until she heard Candace’s voice and saw it attacking her fellow Hunters.
Understood!
The young woman lunged forward, her eyes wide, as she summoned her oversized lance once more...and then happened to stumble on some debris she happened to miss.

As Clerise stood her cleaning, she quirked a brow at where Robert's eyes were trained. Well, she couldn't fault him, she supposed. Her a** WAS a fabulous one. She brushed some dust offer her hands, grinning at the other Life hunter. "Easy, lazy. Same difference. I can appreciate it either wa-" What was that rumbling. Clerise turned just in time to see ANOTHER goddamned ...yeti-thing barrel through the door, much like the last. "God. Needy bitches," she muttered, sliding Balthazar off her neck and letting him slip into his natural, weaponized form. "Hold that thought, strong man." She dashed off towards the creature, jumping up and bringing Balthazar down swinging, relishing in the feel of metal to flesh. Oh, wow. So this is what it was like to try and hurt something. Well, s**t. Madison summoned Kouki, tearing the 'rental' coat free from her waist to allow the swordbelt to settle in its place. She drew two swords, slipping into a defensive stance, blades crossed in front of her. "Ready - our special move is long-distance, Gale," she called out to their squad leader. "Just gotta get in some close hits to charge up!" Fighting~ Fighting~ So much more interesting~ Kouki hummed happily. Madison rolled her eyes briefly, then refocused on their opponent. That solved one mystery, though she wished she could have done it all forensically and stuff rather than the damn thing actually showing up again. Ugh.

Sasha dodged one flying chunk of debris with a quick movement, but she was unable to move away from a sharp splinter of wood that nicked against the side of her head. It didn't leave behind any serious carnage, but it was enough to open her eyes to the actual severity of the situation at hand.
A situation that had a rather large, rather blood-stained and rather furious yeti at the very core of it. Thankfully this time Sasha already had Nona in hand, and in Sasha's mind they would only have time to rescue any survivors that lingered - if there were any - once the yeti was gone.
<Go, my dove.>
It was all the encouragement that Sasha needed -- at least until she tripped on a piece of debris and fell to one knee.
"I'm alright," she huffed under her breath, embarrassed more than anything.
<When we return home, you will train. This is humiliating, Sasha. Not one hit?>

Bix wasn't quite ready when the wall exploded inward. He wasn't hurt but the attempt to dodge debris left him slightly off balance. The amount of flat floor and fleeing room seemed to lessen by the second.
The arch pulled back and loosed several arrows in a line. The yeti had lunged and shifted and only a single red shot hit it.
Damn.

Jordan stayed back, eyes flicking rapidly across the scene. The blood on the yeti's fur and mouth was troubling. Fake? Real? He could catch the smell of the blood, faint in the warm air of the destroyed room. If it was fake, it was a very convincing fake. He would have expected a yeti to smell of wet dog or of rotting meat, though; he couldn't catch anything of the sort. He held Ferros in ready stance.
"EYES AND LEGS," he shouted over the noise of the fight. "DISABLE IT FIRST." Watch your step, he thought but didn't add. Distract them as little as possible.
I'm hungry, Ferros growled low.
We'll get our chance. Let the lambs have a shot.

Oh <********>. Just. ******** ******** this ******** <********>. Why was the Yeti targeting the new-faces? And why the Lifers?! Sure the creature also went for Rep but he wasn't Before's priority, Sasha was. And seeing his charge attacked pretty much made him switch goals. ******** the computers, his teammates were more important.
He saw the Lifer fight back but heard Jordan's instructions. Eyes and Legs, huh? Before was too short and lacked the long-range reached the other Hunters had so he did go for the legs, going straight for the back of the Yeti's ankles. He dove and swung, ending up with a mouthful of debris but he felt Vanna's spikes dig into fur and flesh, felt FEAR crackle into the runes on his partner's surface.
Before was rolling away, quickly pulling himself back to his feet, placing himself between Sasha and the Yeti, the large Wheel acting as a makeshift shield. "Forget the equipment, protect yourself. Watch the Sunnys and the Mistys, keep out of the long-rangers' way and check if you have enough room to attack in unison with another short-ranger." He peered over his weapon, trying to call out to Jordan, "Mind if we join you?"
