Penelope let Susan tug her along as they made their way to the mall... Well... Sort of. She didn't have the heart to tell the cat girl that they were headed in the wrong direction. It didn't even necessarily matter currently, seeing as she had obviously found something else she wanted to do "on the way there."
"Um... If you want." Penelope said awkwardly. It felt a little odd, being in any way a deciding factor on something so semi permanent as the cutting of one's hair, but if Susan wanted her opinion, she'd give it. "I-I'm sure... I bet it'll be more comfortable and look super great short. I mean, I think it's real cute long, but you know, even if you don't end up liking it short, it'll always grow back..." Wasn't that meant to be her giving her opinion? She hadn't really given any sort of definitive answer either way. Did she even have any sort of opinion either way? she resisted the urge to slap her forehead. "Er... right, I guess what I'm saying is, you know, up to you and whatnot."

Since Susan was used to her long hair, she didn't want to go too short.. "Hmm.. I might just get it cut to the bottom of my back" she said and walked into the salon. She looked at the lady standing at the counter and asked for a hair cut.
After having her beloved hair cut off, Susan looked at Penelope. "You like?"

Penelope waited silently as Susan was getting her hair cut. She supposed this was what was usually referred to as "Moral support" though it didn't appear as if Susan was being traumatized by the experience. Still, she probably hadn't had her hair this short in a while, so who knew?
As the hair cut reached it's end, Penelope gave her friend a quick once over. "It... ah, wow. I mean, it's... really cute." She found herself blushing. "I... I like it! I like it a lot."
She looked down to the floor momentarily before looking back up. "Yeah, ah... definitely a good look for you."

Susan clapped her hands in delight. Penelope seemed to love it! Susan liked it to, it was so much shorter, although it was still long, it was short for Susan. "I'm glad you like it!" she said cheerfully.
"So. Where to now? Clothing?" Susan suggested as she gave money to the lady at the counter and walked out of the salon with Penelope after her. Susan found a ribbon in her pocket. She grabbed the ends of her hair, and tied it around to keep it from flying around.
((I'm thinking that if there isn't enough time for us to finish this scene before the summer thing, we can assume that the girls went and bought clothes similar to those in the new picture))

"Um... yes! Clothing, right. Well... actually." Penelope scratched the back of her head uncomfortably. "We've sort of been heading away from the mall for a while. It's... well, pretty much the opposite direction of where we were going before, so if you want to head there... Well, I can show you where it is." She smiled. Susan certainly was energetic about... well, most everything. It was odd how outgoing the girl was seeing how she had been, as she told Penelope, sheltered for most of her life. Not that there was a problem with that. Most of her friends at Rosentale were fairly outgoing.
After all, they had all talked to her first.
"Let's see then." Penelope gently took hold of Susan's shoulders and gave the top of her head a solemn inspection. "Ah yes, definitely good. Sure to grab the eye of... er... whoever it is you want to grab the eye of no doubt." She smiled again and let her hands drop. "Yeah... come on then. If you're all finished up here, then the mall's this way."

Wrong way? Dammit. Susan looked in the direction Penelope pointed. And turned around.
Susan felt as Penelope's hands touched her shoulders. and admired her new hair. She went a slight shade of light pink. She nodded as Penelope directed her the right way to the mall.

So close to touching freedom, then I hear the guards call my name...  Angela didn't stop walking until she was about a block away from the cafe, annoyed that Malade had to act like a complete a** every single time they were around each other. It always started out well, and then he suddenly went all jerk face idiot on her. She had no idea how someone could actually seem to care about her one minute, then call her a b***h the next just becuase she got a little snarky at some weird vampire who kept spouting idiotic brain rot. Not to mention the veiled threat at her friend.
Maybe it was just a demon thing since Abel had the same split personality problem. She leaned against a street light and glanced down at the scars on her arm. Hmph. Scars were ugly. Wasn't like she was a beauty queen before she got it either.
Maybe she should get a tattoo or something to cover it up. You can say it one more time, what you don't like,
Let me hear it one more time, then have a seat while I take to the sky.

What to do, what to do? Summer, Terra decided, was a boring thing when you knew nobody and nothing in the town. She could probably go looking for Penelope, or - who was that other girl? - Angela, since they were the only two people she had actually talked to. Oh wait, or Mr. Tactful, how could she forget - but as she didn't really know any of them past a conversation or two, it would be weird to go specifically looking for them. Instead, she decided to go downtown and see if there was anything interesting going on. Terra's gaze wandered as she walked along the street, roving between the other people and the windows of the shops. Maybe she would come across some kind of martial arts place or something. That would be nice, although she doubted they would have a version of martial arts that worked when submerged in water. But you never knew. “Never be bullied into silence.  "You know, I'm not much of a fighter, but..."  Downtown was the place to be! Well not really. Reilynn wished she could zip around on her broomstick since it was faster than walking, but that would just cause problems for people and she might get herself rammed over by a truck. Reilynn was off to do some window shopping since she felt that her clothes were becoming out of fashion and that the trends were moving on without her. So she was off doing some window shopping. It was kind of lonely since she was alone and without a friend though.
"Oh overlord of the sky or whoever causes miracles, please send me a friend so it'll be more funner and stuff." Reilynn said to particularly no one as she gazed up at the sky. She looked around to see if she would find any of her friends. Well, there was no one she recognized. Wait! That girl! She knew her!
She was kind of walking by herself and Reilynn was not sure how she even recognized her because she blended in with other people and mainly because Reilynn only met her once, but Reilynn was sure she saw her somewhere! Either that or Reilynn was just that desperate for a friend! She dashed over to the girl. "Oh! Hello there! I've met you before! I think! Umm...! It was super fast--- OH YEAH. Ping pong! I was playing ping pong and you came in with that girl that Tshila knew and stuff!" Reilynn cried out as she stumbled/ran to the girl. "...I'm a pretty darn good treasure hunter!"

Nothing better than mile-a-minute girl to snap someone out of it! Terra stopped and turned when she heard a voice calling, wanting to see who it was, when she realized this person was calling to her. Uh. Who was this? But the doubts were gone when the stranger talked about ping pong- this was that hyper girl who jumped all over the place, probably literally and figuratively. "Yeah, I think so. My name's Terra," she answered, wondering who Tshila was. But the ping pong part was right so the Tshila part probably was too. Penelope must have been talking to her or something. "Don't think I ever got your name either." Terra wasn't really sure what else to say. I mean, yeah they almost met-ish one time. What does she want? Terra was tempted to mimic the girl's attitude and start freaking out and talking really fast, but she'd probably get halfway through the first sentence and run out of things to say. “Never be bullied into silence. "You know, I'm not much of a fighter, but..." It must have been destiny! Or something. Reilynn had to wonder how this girl got here. Maybe the overlord of the above place must have zapped her here while Reilynn wasn't looking or transformed a person into this girl or maybe it was all coincidental. Sure. Reilynn didn't know anything about this girl, but at least she had someone she kind of knew and could hang out with. Even if they met each other once. After all, this girl was sent by the overlord! "Right! Nice to meet you Terra! Like actually meet you instead of stand around in the same room together. You were on the field trip so I should be seeing you in Rosentale next year, I think? My name is Reilynn! I'm officially going to be a second year when school start. But never mind about school because it's summer! So we obviously have to do summer stuff!" Reilynn ranted, trying to sort out all the summer stuff she wanted to do in her head. She wanted to go whack watermelons with sticks and go on picnics and go swimming in the sea! However she was thinking so fast that she thought of whacking picnics with the sea.
"Oh right. So you're enjoying summer vacation right? What are you doing right now? Something fun and interesting?" Reilynn asked. "...I'm a pretty darn good treasure hunter!"

What do you respond to first, when a person says a billion things at once? Terra decided to just go in order, and hope she remembered to answer everything. Although if she didn't it probably wouldn't matter; Reilynn seemed happy to fill up all the space in the conversation, so she didn't really have to say much at all, right? Uh. "You too. And I'll be a third year. Well, it'll be my first year here of course, by I went to school somewhere else for two." Oh right, not talking about school. Ha. Terra felt a little shadow of something like guilt, remembering that she was actually in the library yesterday. It wasn't exactly a regular thing for her anyways, but this was summer. They were supposed to be doing " summer stuff." "Right now, I'm not doing anything interesting at all." What she wanted to be doing seemed like an impossibility. Are you?" Terra asked. Well, at least this was more interesting than just walking. Which was, sadly, all she had been doing. ((Haha oh gosh I love your character, she's so hyper! Mine seems like no fun in comparison lol. "You know, I'm not much of a fighter, but..." Oh! An older person! Great! Then that meant Reilynn has someone to run to when needing help with homework. She was going to remember this girl. "Your first year huh? Well then, when it comes to time for class sign ups, I suggest Algebra! The teacher there is really cool and that class is so much fun! One time, we tied up the teacher and interrogated him, and then there was a time where we played musical chairs and then another time, a guy braided my hair to look super cool! Best class ever!" Reilynn told her. She probably shouldn't mention to Terra that Reilynn flunked the class regardless of how fun it was.
"What!? Nothing interesting? Well, we'll just have to think of something. Well I'm frying out here and I'll get a tan if I'm not careful. How about we go to the aquarium? Maybe it'll be much cooler there? And if we're lucky, we can go swim with the animals." Because everyone goes swimming at a beach. So Reilynn figured that swimming at an aquarium would make them super different and unique! Not to mention it should be less crowded there.

Algebra... That was the one class she actually went to before finding out school was about to be out of session, right? You'd think she'd be smart enough to enroll at the beginning of a school year, but no. She'd managed to make it to one class. Hmm, does that give credit? I mean, she technically was there, and technically didn't not pass. "Sounds like fun," she said, but seriously doubted it. That teacher did not seem like the kind to put up with all that. Although he did seem like the kind who would be unable to prevent being tied up. "Is a tan a bad thing? Isn't getting a tan supposed to be part of that "summer stuff" girls do?" Terra said, making little quotation marks with her fingers. "But the aquarium sounds cool to me, although I seriously doubt they would let us swim with the animals. But we could probably break in to the tanks if you really wanted to." What? Why did she say that? That would be such a bad idea. Fun, yes. Smart, not so much. ((lol! what anime? "You know, I'm not much of a fighter, but..." "Well tans bother me! My face will be darker than the skin under my clothes! Wouldn't that bother you too? I don't really want to walk around in a bikini all day! But then again that sounds kind of nice because of all this heat." Reilynn remarked and she actually considered doing it. However, she didn't have a bikini on her at the moment so she would have to hold the thought until it came back to her when she did have a bikini.
"You think so? Well, what the workers don't know won't hurt them, right?" Reilynn said. "Because I really want to go swimming with all those different sea creatures out there! I think when we get in, we could come up with a plan! How hard can it be?" The could steal employee uniforms in a break room or something and then make their way to the employees only place.
"Alright! Let's go scout the aquarium and get the plan to action!"
