I think you’re always tired.” Hel teased, taking another sip of her cider. “Scary? Going new places? No…I think it’s exciting…an adventure…like going to the Academy for the first time…!” She shook her head a bit though. “But uh…it’s not the same…I understand that. Heh.”

She beamed, and nodded her head. “I am glad. I am sure my mother would be please to have you come and visit again.” The reaper then down the rest of her cup, and placed it on the stones in front of the fire, next to the kettle. She gave a loud yawn then, and flopped backwards onto her bed roll. “I sure hope you’re ready for some sleep tonight, friend! It’s going to be an early day tomorrow…and it was a very busy day today.”

Freya laughed at the ticklish feeling of Herryk kissing her foot, pulling it away in instant reaction. She would have splashed him, but he rose up further, and her laughter died in her throat. His hands were moving up, his lips were on her knee, and all signs pointed to things that made Freya's light skin blush red and hot. She had come to the lake to cool down, which had worked - until now. She slid down to meet him, face to face, red as a beet, and beamed a smile at him.

"This is the best day of my life." Freya whispered, biting her tongue between her teeth. The one day she had dreaded since they had received the invitation - no, even before that, the day she found out Sif had taken Thor as a lover, and all of a sudden, despite all that was against her on this one day..

Despite all of that, this was the best day of her life.

Mot laughed at Hel's observation. "Yes, I guess I usually am." Tired, that is. He looked it, and he usually felt it. Not that he let on. There were plenty of things to keep him occupied.

Mot set his mug down as well, his head turning to watch Hel flop backward. "Hmm. Maybe." He chuckled lightly. "It certainly has been a long day."

Mot mimicked Hel, flopping onto his back, sinking into the comfy bedroll.

Hel wiggled underneath the blankets of her bed roll, and then rolled onto her side, facing Mot. She was quiet for a moment, listening to the sounds of the fire crackle, the sounds of family and guests still outside, carrying on the celebrations, and then focused back on Mot. “Heh…would you like for me to sing again? Once you’re settled?”

She liked to offer, and figured it couldn’t hurt.

He laid there, enjoying the sounds they could both hear, knowing the den was like their little cubby away from the outside world. A warm safe haven.

Mot turned his head, smiling at Hel's offer. "I'd like that." Lazily, he slipped his feet under the blanket, and rolled to his side to face Hel. It was much too warm from him to be completely encased in his bedding for now.

Mot actually yawned, covering his mouth with his hand. He blinked heavily, letting his head sink into the pillow for now. Just the thought of another lullaby was making him sleepy already.

Herryk chuckled.

"It is Herryk's, too." Coming from him it sounded bizarre, but in the months since his awakening, this was easily the best day of his life. This weekend, even, had been the best. He stared at Freya with all of the love he felt for her shining in his eyes, a smile toying with his lips. He pushed upward and pressed a kiss to her lips.

"Herryk and Freya should go home?" He didn't want her parents to worry about where they'd disappeared. Then again, he would be content staying here until morning if that's what she wanted. He didn't care, honestly. "Or stay here? Herryk does not mind."

Freya's eyes fluttered closed when he kissed her. Her dopey smile was back, visible as soon as he pulled away, and her eyes continued to remain closed even as she managed to answer him.

"Herryk and Freya should go home." It came out as more of a sigh, while her head tilted forward to rest against his. "I wants teh stay here with yeh, mind." One eye opened, staring up at him blurrily. "But it's too temptings. Yehr too temptings. And this place is too temptings."

She kissed his nose, and opened both of her eyes. "And now I needs teh go backs in the water before we go, because yeh mades me all warm again. Here, make sure I don't drown, okay?" She shimmied back down the shore, before finding the deepened edge and disappearing into the black water.

Hel grinned lightly, and as contagious as yawning was, she couldn’t help but yawn as well when Mot did.

The reaper chuckled, and seemed thoughtful for a moment before decided on a lullaby. The ghoul started to hum to get the gist, and then started to sing. It was one native to her valkyrie culture, that involved the moon and the stars, and how ravens were comets shooting across the night sky.

Should he be embarrassed that he was being sung lullabies? Cause he wasn't. Maybe he was too tired to worry about manly pride. Besides, pretty ghoul was singing just for him. Win.

The song had his attention, mostly the part about ravens. That was his nickname given to him by Hel's mother. It meant something now.

He didn't dwell on it long. The grim reaper went into a light sleep after a while.

Hel finished out the song, watching as Mot drifted off into a light sleep. Mission accomplished.

The reaper gave out another yawn, snuggling more into her blanket and pillows as her eye lids felt heavy. She blinked once, twice, possibly a third time, and then she was out like a light as well. It had been a very busy day, and now she was ready to rest and then get through the night quicker so that they could return to Amity in the morning.

Herryk turned to watch Freya slip back into the water. A soft smile toyed with his lips. Could this day get any better? Herryk doubted it. He chuckled softly to himself and slipped back into the water as well. After all, he had to keep an eye on his ladybird.

Submerging beneath the surface of the water, Herryk immediately approached Freya with a few quick kicks. He wasn't sure if she was struggling to swim, but he knew her wings were weighing her down terribly. Reaching for her hand, Herryk would propel them to the surface once she grabbed hold.

Sinking like a stone, Freya had put her life in her hands when she dropped into the water after her wings had reached their limit. She grabbed onto the arm that reached out for her, and pulled just as he did, until she was back on the shore, laughing at her dance with danger. She laid on the pebbles, laughing up at the sky, her legs curving up slightly before she finally shook some of the water off of her like a dog.

"Okays! I feels better now. We goes back home, before they comes looking for us and ruins my- hah, our private place. Ja?" She turned her head to the side, one eye closed as the water dripped down her face, and bent in to press her lips against his. "I loves yeh, baby boil." She whispered against his lips. "I'll never gets tired of sayings it."

"Herryk loves Freya," he said softly, solemnly. His lips tingled at the touch of hers. There were no words that he could speak that could explain how he felt about her. She would never get tired of saying it and neither would Herryk. He would never get tired of thinking it, of whispering it, of writing about it.

She was everything he could have ever hoped to have. Sif's bitter words could never destroy this love they shared.

"Come," Herryk ordered softly, rising to his feet and reaching out a hand so that he might assist Freya to hers. "Herryk does not want Freya to catch a chill."

Freya took his hand, trying to bounce up - and was instantly reminded of just why she couldn't swim for more than a few minutes at a time, when she flopped back down and the sound of her wings slapping against the ground was audible.

"AAAAAAAAAACH." She screamed in frustration, slowly getting back up to her feet. Her wings were dragging down against the ground as she walked, and it was clear she wouldn't be flying anymore tonight. "Sometimes, I wish they woulds just go away for a little bit. Not for always, just for a little bit." She held his hand as she led him through the dark tunnel of ferns and trees, and pushed away the curtain of green to make sure no one was around before leading him out.

Herryk grunted and gave a tug to her hand. In one foul swoop he had her in his arms and pressed against his chest. "Herryk will carry Freya," he whispered against her ear, finding himself distracted by the soft curve of her jawline and so he busied himself by nibbling along the line of her jaw.

It didn't take long for him to carry her home. Their soggy clothes were clutched in the fist that was crooked under Freya's knees. Herryk could only hope that everyone was asleep. They would make a strange sight, stumbling into the house with Herryk barely dressed (which was nothing strange) and Freya's wings dripping everywhere.
