C.J. smiled, surprised that she did that. "Yeah, but it ain't everyday THAT happens. That was really cool!" he said. Back where he came from, he didn't know anybody who used threads to hold a pickup truck in the air like she just did. Just then, Arell walked outside, taking in some fresh air.
"A'right ya two lovebirds, y'all stayin' outta trouble?" Arell asked.
"No trouble, I was just thankin' Misty for her help." C.J. replied, putting an arm around Sapph.

Misty smiled at the compliment. Her smile grew even further after Arell came out and C.J. put an arm around her. "No trouble at all." she replied.

Arell smiled. After the Joker almost brought out the real Piss and Vinegar hellcat C.J. was, it was a nice break to see things get to normal, even better on his part.
"Well, the good news is, we got the truck fixed. I guess we missed that arm-wrestlin' tourney . . ." C.J. mused. "Had more fun here though." he said. The big Cajun looked surprised.
"Whoo boy, I'm in TROUBLE once Catgirl finds out I wasn't at de bar!" Arell said, a little worried. Rather funny, being in the doghouse with a half-cat girlfriend. C.J. smirked a little.

"I wouldn't see why you'd get into too much trouble. The truck did break down in front of the house, you didn't get any suggestive dares, and you were the first one back in the house to try and stop Joker." Sapphire said.

C.J. smirked. "Let's just say Arell and I've had some WILD adventures in the past." he said to Sapphire. The belief that it was only illegal when you got caught doing 110 in a pickup truck hauling moonshine? The narrator isn't going to go into detail, but that myth is busted. C.J. still wasn't all that welcome when Arell stayed over at Crystal's house because of it . . . He looked back at Arell. "Don't worry about it, man. Crystal's gotta believe us this time. If not, I'm sure Aiden can back us up . . . right?" he asked.
"Doan' look at me, che'. Dat's up to him." Arell said.

"You should have quite a few people that will vouch for you." Sapphire offered.

C.J. nodded. "You'll be fine. So we had a change a' plans. That happens all the time." he said to the not-so-nervous anymore Arell. The Marylander chuckled at the big Cajun's tough exterior being voided by the fact that he was almost too loyal as Crystal's boyfriend.
"Thanks, y'all." Arell said with a smile.

C.J. smiled a little bit. "We should probably get the others. I dunno about you, but t' be honest, I sense trouble brewin'." he said. I'm either too late about the Joker, or I'm too early for someone else to come along. he thought, but his sense of danger was rather screwy at that point. The young adventurer was a little calmer around Sapph than it usually was bounty hunting. Of course then he realized what (or who) it was.
Hey, me from the main thread!! Quit spyin' on me, dammit! he thought. Only trouble to seeing the fourth wall. He could see who peeked over it.

Sapphire nodded. "Yeah. We should probably get them back home if they don't want a hospital." she agreed.

Arell nodded. "We got plenty a' room in the truck. Hey, Benoit! Mind ridin' in the back with Irish?" he asked. C.J. smirked.
"Not at all. Probably for the best." C.J. said as they went back in towards the house, Benoit still a little surprised about how tonight went. Then again, he was slightly used to it . . . last week they accidentally blew up a building, the week before that they needed Crystal's help getting out of jail for punching out the Chief of Police by accident in a barroom brawl, and the night before that . . . they stayed home and saw the Brady Bunch reunion, mostly because Arell broke his leg on his motorcycle and Dundee lost the remote.

When Sapphire and the others arrived back at the house, Sapphire opened the door and stepped inside. Then stopped in her tracks.
Inside, on the other side of the couch facing Vice, was a woman with long dark hair pulled back in a messy tail. Her full attention was on the man lying on the couch, and her arms were wrapped around the little witch sitting beside him.
Sapphire frowned instantly. Gossamer was here. And from the looks of things, mamma bear was here.

C.J. stopped suddenly and looked at Arell. "Ya don't think she's gonna turn us int' frogs, do ya?" C.J. asked Arell, who was shaking a little bit.
"Che', I had a run-in wit' Goss somwhe-" Arell was cut off by C.J. who looked at him.
"That was Canon?!?" C.J. asked him, a little concerned . . . however, Arell was confused by the comment, C.J. facepalmed. Note to self, remind Arell we are in a roleplay! he thought.

Gossamer's attention was on Vice, her eyes wide and full of concern. When she finally realized that the others had returned though, her entire mood changed instantly. Rage was putting it lightly.
She let go of Rosie, stood up, and stormed over towards the group. Lightning flickering in her eyes. Quite literally. "Why the Hell didn't any of you DO ANYTHING?!!"

"In my own defense, I got the bullet outta Rosie's foot . . . and Arell had the Joker by THIS mu- oh crap, start the truck, 'Rell. To put it lightly, we're ********' toast." C.J. said, a sense of fear in his eyes that Arell understood. Even HE was shaking when it came to Gossamer. Arell tried to back out slowly. No sudden movements, like he was trying to keep a bear from attacking him. C.J. was stock still with fear. Not just "oh crap, a snake" fear, but "OH MY GOD! 30-FOOT ANACONDA!!" kinda fear.
