"The adequates broke, releasing tons and tons of water onto the village, water is dense and can be hard, it probaly hit the village so hard it smashed buildens and killed people." He rubbed his forehead as they got off. Shi was with them.

Placing her arms diagonally underneath the wedges below her shoulder, Kimiko fought off the urge to return a dry comment. Scary, how he could just sum up such catastrophes without even expressing that much sentiment. And all it took was a glance. Blunt, he really was. Weak Sea legs making you quick? Or sharp observational skills. Which is it? Graciously thanking the Captain, Kimiko took the note, collecting his diagnosis as she took off after him. "Now that you've aced the conference, we'll be asking anyone here for clarity. Er, that is, until you feel any better."

After commiserating about his inability over water, she set off onto a brisk pace. After all, Kimiko couldn't have her brother get ahead any more than he already was. Huffing, her thoughts were kept rather silent on this matter. Though her pride beamed of him being her teacher.
Yes, the damage appeared to be quite recent judging by the texture and indentations. But who could be found? Her call was given an answer the farther as the group trekked down the mainland and further into the Metropolis. Strange, how this much was at least viable while the other two had suffered tremendously. Will the destruction of the two prior cities hinder this one in any way? Or will they cope just fine? Much was unknown to her as this was her first time. Kyo however, had entered this country before so she followed him on her surmise. ----
The head of the investigations unit, Magnus, & the Lt. Colonel, who are in charge of the local militia defenses were stationed at a general area available to social responses. Kimiko directed to their presence, enthusiastically prompting Kyo to fill in whenever he chose to. First, she greeted them ever so appropriately on the premises of a friendly first time greeting. Then explained their situation as scholars and how they were granted permission by the numerically named Kunoichi. "The devastation in the other areas, hardly tame. It's amazing how this prefecture managed to survive in it's majority. Could you give us your accounts on this event?" Blown up Aqueducts, resulting to a flood. That much was mentioned already. But their insight would make or break their gathered idea. What caused the aqueducts to malfunction?

A small, sandy-colored gecko crawled out from under a piece of rubble and basked in the sunlight. It was a few feet to the left of the one called "Kimiko", at whom it seemed to be staring. The animal looked innocent enough, as it was conducting itself the way a normal gecko would. It had made the nearby rubble its home and was only in the sunlight because it wanted to be warm. It was about five inches in length and had rather thick toes, with a jagged pattern on its back that showed it was a creature that typically inhabited rocky regions rather than the sandy lowlands of Saraswati. If the scholars were educated in the topography and zoology of the region, the creature would seem suspicious because of this pattern.
It licked its eyes.

He quietly walked over to the Gecko this was interesting cause he liked seeing new creatures. He picked it up under it's belly and even if the thing bit his hand or scratched it, it wouldn't be let go for Kyoishi had a slight pain resistance do to exstensive training. "The lizard is watching you Kimiko." He smiled, hiding the fact he wanted to do a sly grin but kept his disguise up as he held the gecko.

Magnus rubbed his hands over each other as if to keep them clean, when the two scholars arrived from further inland. "Six sent ya, eh?" he questioned, pulling on some rather hefty carpenter's gloves. "The majority of the destruction came about from an invasion force... an army of shells devoid of life! Whatever they stripped from the buildings just added to their armor, & to their numbers. After the earthquake & the tsunami it caused settled down, the shinobi went out to sea, chasing after the heads of the army, I'll bet." Glancing around fervently, he settled down as the Lt. Colonel stepped into the tent.
"The tsunami's flooding has gone down greatly, Magnus," the gigantic, hulking man retorted. "But whatever caused those things to drop lifelessly saved us. My troops were almost out of trapping materials." Pushing his way through with no regard to the scholars, the military man dropped to a chair on the backside of the tent, lighting up a stogie. "The main train network is almost up again--thanks to your unit--& should be nearing the harbor soon." It was true, too, that Magnus's unit was on top of things, even though they weren't in the best of shape.
On the other side of Saraswati, nearing the 1st metropolis & its harbor, Magnus's investigation unit was within eyesight of the docks. Devastation was wrought across the area, & bots lay silent and still, some even in the same pose of plundering that they were in prior to deactivation. Mutilated corpses & those brought down by internal means were strewn throughout the landscape like life-size dolls. A new man on the unit spied a particularly bad one, his face blanching from the sight. He would get used to it in time as they all had to dig the graves, but the memory would stay forever. In the distance, what looked like an untouched spanish galleon sat floating upon the waters amid broken bots. Further out beyond that, the harbor was filled with all sorts of floating pieces of bot junk. The Lt. Colonel had one patrol boat out there, keeping an eye out on the horizon... since the shinobi had not returned yet from their epic chase scene. Their worries were not without fault, too, as it had been much more than a week since the devastation had ended. Surely the shinobi would've returned by now! they all thought.

The gecko started to run away when Teppei approached it, but unfortunately was caught and hoisted in to the air. It started to flail around and struggle for freedom and would grab on to anything it could to pull itself out of the boy's grip. In self-defense, it also urinated and sprayed a foul-smelling liquid on the boy's hands.

His senses were heightened so it made it worse, a curse for a gift. His nose twitched but he kept ahold of the gecko still. "This damn thing urinated on me!!! I'll murder it!!!" he kept his face still curious. Maybe he could try and snap it's tail off as a gift to Kimiko? Maybe stuff it in his backpack to bring back to Kumo. Shi looked at Teppei then focused on the conversation of Doki and the two men. "That smell is horrid..." It was giving him a headache and he wanted to puke or pass out. He gripped tighter on the gecko with a happy child look to hide the fact he would secretly strangle this damn gecko if it kept trying to knock him out.

"Erm..yes, she did." A bit struck by his brisk inquiry, she stumbled it out as best as she could. ---- "What-!? Invas- Shh! Don't interrupt, Teppei!" Kimiko dismissed him with light signs of impatience along with being deaf to his little update. "Hang on, I'm trying to listen here..! Hunh, just wait out here." Kimiko said, extending an arm out to space them apart while with her back to him as though she would spare them both some childish nonsense. Not that she was listening anyway. After settling inside, Kimiko felt less inclined to premeditated permission to sit even in the presence of the local authority figure. She assumed it was fine since he continued with his string of statements. So focused, she hardly even noticed her brother leaving the tent, expectantly disappointed that he did when she told him to. Unbelievable. He couldn't stay to take notes? Dear Kubera...knowing my memory... Wait.. Heads of the army out in sea? Possible enemy naval forces. Though the way he describes them they don't sound that organized. So all in all they haven't cleaned their hands of it yet I see. Clearing her throat while waving the wisps of his brimming smoke, she sat back onto the adjacent chair previous occupied. ---- "Ahh-hah..achk! ..I'm sorry for the outburst.. It's..just.. My god." Stroking the side of her temple, Kimiko mildly peered back up to the stressed looking Captain. Questions rose up one over the other. Then his colleague entered the room with additional filling. Her discretion of a fifteen year old teenager, having spent no expenses on war, would hardly help her invoke an intelligent remark to this. The shift in the area's union brought her attention towards the once vacant area, now streamed with decorative machinery. The horrid imagery of it settled over her mind as the two Unit leaders were brisk in their fashion. Understandable. Kimiko was amazed, alarmed, and entranced by their high advancement. So much information came swelling in her head all at once though they were only pretense. Excited, Kimiko was nearly about to whip out notebook until remembering their disastrous outcome due to the alien gadgets. Suna was well heard of for the creation of puppets, but gear on robotics? Her brows rose with much surprise, a delicate hand nudging against her upper lip through the completion of the gesture. Ah..they said invasion. Most likely..they aren't Suna's. Still, it's incredible. If not apart of this country, then what of their region? It could be a shifting enemy, threatening other countries out there.
Did he say train network? So transportation will soon be accessible in the near future. If they wait around long enough, they could catch on it and delve even further. Her hands quietly fidgeted, externally being slow at processing their news. They could just drop out and return to Kumo but their current information was now full of holes. The trip should further extend their intel since it would be a waste of an opportunity to not go. "How soon, Sir? Will the network be up?" She glanced back to the other Unit leader while trying to divide her concentrated eye contact between the two of them.
"Aside from our scholarly background, I have studied in the medical field for an extended period of time with my brother as my assistant. We could treat some of the injured up in the more severe areas ahead. It wouldn't be a problem if we take the train to the other two city sections, yes? Please, let us." Her tone was more purposeful than it was pleading. If casualties were as bad as they say, then it could benefit them at least a little if they chose to accept. Being a medical shinobi, Doki acquired such principles to one day drop the number of decomposition. I'd assume they're right. It smells rather pungent outside, now more than ever. Those poor souls. Her eyes were starting to tickle at the ends of her scelera, blinking small occasional tears. Despite her short year in practice, Doki's never actually smelled the decomposition of carrion before but this was just downright stringent. "...what in God's name.." Her attention shifted to the slit entrance of the tent. The musky scent that lingered was fine at least a couple of moments ago.

The gecko continued to flail, and then managed to twist around to grab on to Teppei's hand. Using this new leverage, the gecko tried to pull itself free, and would crawl quickly around the boy's arm, in to his shirt, defecate on its way down his back, and then run back among the rubble where it would hide, but only if it managed to free itself. If not, the gecko would shoot more urine at the boy's face using a stationary Dynamic Marking.

Flailing his arms and trying to get it off his face, that smell was horrible and had some up his nose which made him yelp. "Ah! Sister! This creature pee'd on me!" He nearly screamed it for some got into his eyes and he stood, soon enough even Kyoishi couldn't handle the smell and fell to the ground on his back, out completely cold from such a smell in his nose and his eyes burned from it.

The gecko ran under the rubble and hid away somewhere in the city of debris, terrified and glad to be alive. Once more secure in its shady habitat, it would settle down to sleep the day away on the underside of a chunk of building. It had been terrified quite enough for one day and was tuckered out from its scary trip outside to warm itself.

Magnus, being the weary sort of type, jumped at the question of how soon, rubbing his hands over & over again. "Eh heh, hold on a moment please." Excusing himself, he brushed by the scholar on the way out of the tent, waving to the one on the other side while traveling over to the communications tent. During the intermission, the Lt. Colonel sucked down on his stogie, puffing out o rings while fingering a nasty looking dagger over his war stained knuckles. He wasn't the type for small talk, & exceled at making any situation more uncomfortable than it already was, usually due to his reckless display of bad manners. Such when Magnus came back, the airs were calmed once more, the answer in hand. "My team says that the big commuter & industrial trains can't pass through yet, but the smallest of the small passenger trains are ready. They're in bad condition, too, being punctured through from the invasion plunderings, but they run. Give them an hour minimum for refueling, & they can be ready when you are." Stepping back around the scholar, he sat back down at his desk/station, blueprints for several new buildings tucked under an arm. Pulling them out, he'd lay them open, stacking a book or two at each corner to stem curling. "We appreciate your medical background... there are several hospital tents set up in the second metropolis, if you could stop by there."

The thick atmosphere was truly unsettling. She, the teenage face of fledgling responsibility, would hope to avoid another situation like this again. All at once Kimiko appeared quite relieved to have the other one return though both their frames were rather intimidating. Nervous but more or less grateful of their acceptance, she stood back up and dipped her head in respect. "No, it's more than we could have ever asked for." Granted their current condition.. Kimiko mentally noted before heading out to the tent. Around that time, she heard her brother, hollering out something of haste. Apologetic and embarrassed, she quickly addressed back to the men at work. "Er..we'll see to it immediately."
---- She had a fresh appearance as though rejuvenated by her quick exit. Her tone rang like tickling bells as it added to her thrilled nature. "For crying out loud, Teppei, we've- heugghh! Oh what fresh hell is this?!" Her legs felt limp as she knelt over his fallen body. Her voice sounded half congested as she spoke from behind her sleeve. "Shi? Where's shi?" She called out for him, hoping he was smart enough to have avoided this gaseous toxicity. "I bet you were playing around with one of those war machines! How many times did I tell you? Don't touch what isn't yours!" Angrily, she stood herself up. Her eyes tearing from the repulsive scent all over his body. Him being apart of the Inuzuka clan, his sensitivity was a deep weakness. When they were far enough, she placed her hand over his forehead to perform a quick diagnosis. At least his nasals weren't inflamed but they had to get rid of this stench. Using the technique, cleanse, Doki cleaned the wafting air around him to dull out some traces of the scent. Though it will still remain until he chooses to thoroughly wash himself down.
"..he'll be the death of me." She mumbled, helping his limp body up and heading out for one of the small passenger trains. It's a good thing he was fairly scrawny given his age. Several minutes carried on in their short travel, lagged due to his lifeless body. Upon finally reaching the train, she practically tossed his body in without much regard to his state and expected Shi to follow in after. "This is gonna give me a bad day." Miserably, she pinched her nose, cleaning the majority of his face with a water whipped hankerchief. Cleaning out the residue from his eyes and rinsing them with cold fresh water, she then disposed of the smock and hoped for the best. "Forty five minutes until the next refill."
