Chaos woke up, growling loudly, and through a flash, knocked the gun out of James' hand and tackled James, pinning him to the ground and growling at him, he continued to pin James down, sniffing him a bit and opening his mouth, looking as though he would bite him.

James screamed in terror, he looked into his eyes, thinking, So this is it, dying by my best friend's hand.

Chaos looked into his eyes, seeing how scared James was, he tried to break the infection's control, but he couldn't, he almost bit his neck, but he moved his head, biting his arm, he could taste his blood, as he bit his arm, his mind fought back the infection, he scrambled back, whimpering and starting to cry, "Oh my god, I've infected my best friend. I-I-I've failed." He whimpered and growled, looking up at James with a caring, angry look. "You're not turning into a mindless monster while I'm still alive." He walked over the the med kit and looked through it, trying to find another vaccine and some bandages.

James screamed in pain, "No! I don't want to die!" he started sobbing again, he tried reaching for the gun, "I can't live like this..." he couldn't reach it, "Shoot me..." he moaned.

Chaos growled, finding some bandages and the vaccine, "You're not going to die, you hear me?!" He kicked the gun away from his reach and kneeled down to him, bandaging up his arm and pulling out the vaccine, popping it into his arm and squeezing it in. He finished bandaging up his arm and gave him a worried look, "You're not going to die, I want you to live, please! Just stay with me!" He whimpered and grabbed his shoulders, giving him a sincere look.

James was crying, "I don't wanna die... I can't... I promised Matt..." he sobbed, and yanked off his dogtags, "Here... please." he pushed them into his hand, and suddenly his arm started to throb, and then he watched in terror as his arm had claws burst from his paw.

Chaos whimpered and stood up, looking at the dogtags in his hand, then looking down at James, tears welled up in his eyes, he slowly wrapped the dogtags around his bandolier, then taking out his colt, his arms shaking as he did this, tears streamed down his cheeks as aimed the colt at James, "I-I-I..... love you, James... You'll always be with me....." He turned off the safety to his gun, whimpering as he put his finger on the trigger, tears continuing to flow down his cheeks.

James waited for the infection to spread, but gasped in surprise, "Wait!" he screamed, he pulled away and grasped his arm, "It... It stopped!" he exclaimed.

Chaos smirked and turned the safety off, holstering his gun and pulling off the dogtags from his bandolier, tossing them to him, "I told you that you weren't going to die." He smiled at him and knelt down, offering him a hand.

James sniffed, "My greatest fear..." he admitted, he accepted with is non-infected hand.

Chaos chuckled and pulled him up, "Is now dust in the wind. Now, calm yourself down." He gave him a warm smile, murring a bit.

James sighed, "How?" he asked, "Now, I'M a threat." he said, "Hold on..." he looked at his claws, he put his paw on the ground, and pulled out his combat knife, he carved each claw out by the root, he had more tears come because of the pain, but he bandaged the fingers, "There. Now I'm good."

Chaos chuckled, shaking his head and wincing a bit, "Well, you could've just retracted them, but that works too..." He looked around a bit, shrugging, "So, now what?"

James shrugged, "Yeah, but now if I go insane, I am that much less likely to kill someone." he said. "And, I don't know, I guess go to the shower." he said, "I'll go alone..." he grabbed his pistols and went towards the ladder.

Chaos nodded, and walked over to Alison, hugging her and nuzzling into her a bit, murring and smiling, turning to James, "Don't get yourself killed."
