Mindy nodded to Dan's response. She smiled at him a tired smile. "You're a good kid, I believe that." She said to him softly. "Your thoughts are well set out in your head. You think them out well too. Lisa is right though, and it's only getting later into the night. We still have much to discuss tonight. Lisa is right, we'll hopefully have more time to talk in the future." She looked at Lisa with the same sisterly face as she always looked at the girl. "Lisa, you'd best think up some answers to these questions. I'm sure Dan's family will be curious about you." Mindy said with a reassuring nod. "Do you have anything you would like to add, Jay, Dan?" She asked looking at each in turn.

Jay sighed and listened thoughtfully. SHe wanted to ask a few more questions and started with the typical, "What are your plans for the future, what are some of the goals you want to reach as you get older, both in life and financially?" She wanted to see where his head was and just how much he understood in life, and how much she would ahve to teach him about the simple financial things in life. "Can you balance a budget without bouncing checks, going into debt or forgetting to pay a simple monthly bill?" she wanted to know since he would be with her sister she wanted to know if he could manage his share of any bills and would nto put her into debt or use her financialy.
"If you were given a set time for a certain task, can you stick to it without making an excuse for being late or would you be one to make it a little early to make certain things are as they need to be?" Thinking even more about things she asked, "Is there any health conserns of limits that would prevent you from working or traveling should you ahve to?" Glancing at her sister then her best friend she asked something that she hoped would lighten the tension she had placed by asking so many questions while tryin to hide a grin, "Are you a legal or illegal citizan and if you aren't legal do you have your green card?"

Dan never really thought about it before. He had always been very laid back so the thought of his future never really came up. "Well...I am not to sure exactly what I want to do. I have never had any need for anything really physical save for a home and food. Anything extra beyond that are benefits earned from what I have earned but I know better then to send more then I have. Falling into debt is a sure way to ruin your life." Dan said with a sigh. "If given a task I would do my best to get it done on time. If i was not given prior notice I would do my nest but I do my best not to fail anything I have set my mind to. My health is still doing good so far and I am not injured. Finally yes I am a legal citizen. I was born and raised in my hometown."

Lisa felt irritated with Jay and Mindy for their battering questions. She wanted to make them stop and get their business talk out of the way so maybe there could be some rest time before bed. She blinked a couple times to clear the tired induced blur that suddenly covered her eyes. She also tried to hide a big yawn into her sleeve. "See, he's a good guy." She said softly. "He knows about the dangers of debt, he was legal. "Please, let us do this another night." She said in an imploring tone.

Jay listend to the answers and nodded her head. “He does sound level.” she said to herself. But there was one other thing she wanted to make damned certain of and she asked, “You said you played a lot of video games and D&D and watched TV up to now.” She stopped for a second to make certain she met his eyes seriously and then went on, “Can you handle not being able to play a game or watch a TV show that you’ve been waiting to watch if it conflicts with a work schedual or possible future Convention dates? Would you be able to do your job without sulking and making everyone arround you miserable and make the most of it while enjoying what you’re doing in the real world?”
While she waited for him to answer she stood up and stretched and walked to sit on the edge of the bed. Grumbling now to herself she got back up and went to the bathroom to grab another cup of water and then walked back to where the other were and sat back down this time on one of the pillows at the headboard of the bed. She looked at her sister and stuck out her tongue at her and took a drink from her cup. Giving a shrug she looked at Lisa and sighed, “I was going to wait till Rock got back home to let you guys know.” Scowling at her cup she went on, “We didn’t find out till the day befor he left for Germany so we said we’d wait till he got back to let everyone know.” She finished her water and finally finished, “Since he’s going to be meetin us here, might as well say something now since its not like Im going to be able to hide it much longer, but I’m 9 weeks pregnant.”

Dam felt a little insulted by Jay's question but waited patiently as she walked off and returned with a cup. The way it sounded she made it sound like he could have been some child that didn't know the importance of doing a job. He may have been young but he knew responsibilities came first.
"Oh, Congratulations on the addition to the family." Dan said to Jay as his frustration seemed to melt away with the news. "As for my answer I know the importance of getting the job done right. While doing hobbies are a good way to relax it is important to follow through with your responsibilities before you can fully relax. Procrastination won't do anyone any good."

As Jay continued on with her interrogations Lisa sat silently beside Dan. She rubbed his arm, hoping to sooth him and help him to feel like he was gaining way. She wanted him to respond to the questions in a calm manner, which is what she was helping him with, she hoped. She could feel that the question had insulted him. It was the ridgedness he suddenly took on. She wanted to see him through to victory.
It was before he could answer however that Jay announced her secrete. Lisa jumped to her feet and her jaw dropped open. "Jay, you are not serious!?" She half shouted/ asked. "Wow, congratulations!" She said, leaving Dan's side and rushing over to her sister, first to give her a hug, and then second to place her hand on her sister's belly. She knew there would be nothing of course. But one could hope. "Why haven't you told anyone about this? Do mom and dad know?" Lisa asked, asking questions almost twice as fast as Mindy. "Who's the big secrete keeper now?" Lisa asked with a slight smirk at her sister.

"No, I don't think your mom or dad knows about this." Mindy said to Jay's little sister. "She said that they were going to wait to announce it until Rock came home, but it seems the cat's out of the bag. Now you're not going to tell your parents about this!" Mindy said threatening her with a finger.
"Psht." Lisa exclaimed and returned back to her bed to side beside Dan. "I wouldn't tell. Come on you know that Mindy." She complained. "Or does Dan know that better than you!? You'd be surprised, both of you, how much we do know about each other." She looked up into Dan's face. "See, the beauty of an online relationship is that you get to see someone first for their spirit, at that point looks don't count because you're getting to know them. With how much time we've spent talking together I can't see how he could be playing a fake part. He never contradicted himself once. I fell for his spirit, and I was very lucky when I got to see how he is, and his looks." She said reaching for his hand so she could gently touch it. "Because they took what was left of my heart that was not won by his spirit and he stole my heart away. His only crime that will not be found by any report." She said searching his eyes to see if he possibly felt the same for her.

Jay scowled a bit but looked back at Dan and said, “Thank you for both. I wanted to know where you stood since too many of your genereation don’t know s**t about the real world once they get out of the game and drama of high school. I’ve seen too many cross into my shop who worry more about what time they’d be getting off so they could run home to a tv show or game. Honestly society don’t have any use for people like that. But it sounds like you’ve gotten a balance between them and that’s something that’s going to be needed, even though half the time we’re having fun at the shop there’s times when we’ve got to be all business. Another thing that impresses me a bit too, you believe in getting the job done RIGHT. This is a business where a mistake can cost you dearly so getting it done right the first time is a necessity.”
She laughed at her sisters reaction hugging her back and then laughin as she touched her belly. “Rock wanted to make damned certain he was here when we did tell so I’ve not told anyone but Mindy about it cuz I thought I’d blow up if I didn’t tell someone.” She shook her head and scowled at her sister and stuck her tongue out at her again. “We would’ve told them the next day but Rock’s flight to Germany was that morning and you KNOW how he sis… he wants to be here when we tell everyone. I don’t know if you remember it but he even made certain to ask dad first befor marrying me.” She said explaining why she had not told anyone.
She nodded her head, “It’s just very important to us that we both be there when we tell them sis. And I glad you understand enough to let Rock get back home too.” She laughed and shook her head and said, “time will tell sis, time and getting to know the person behind the screen and the families that connect them.”

Dan nodded and took Lisa's hand when it sought his and he smiled warmly back at her. All these inquiries had made him slightly tired in his mind but the same love seemed to push past the tired eyes that looked back at Lisa as he squeezed her hand.
"Well said. I love you too Lisa." Dan said unembarrassed regardless of the tough crowd. He found it funny how easy he could say it even tired and among these other two women whom have been trying to know him in the fastest way possible.
"Well now if all of you kind ladies do not mind I have a feeling tomorrow will be a busy day so perhaps it would be ideal to retire for the evening." Dan said as he lifted Lisa's hand to his mouth and kissed it will continuing to look into her eyes. "Let me know what time to be ready and I will meet you before we head out."

The sides of Lisa's mouth twitched slightly in her smile up at Dan. She was proud of him at that moment, and though this whole inquiry session. She blushed and felt the warmth suddenly in the room. She nodded. "Yes, tomorrow will be a long day." She agreed, "Long but hopefully fun! The opening ceremonies are at ten, so would you like to meet for breakfast around 8, or 8 thirty?" She asked. "Then we can get our bearings of the convention center and we can go see some of the costumes! What do you think of that?" Lisa asked leaning forward slightly and looking back into his eyes. "Have you got your costume ready?" She asked as another point of interest.

"A-about that...Is it still okay to get help dyeing my hair? As you can see it isn't exactly right and I don't have any experience dyeing my hair. I got a box for the stuff but I am a little nervous I am going to crew it up somehow." Dan said a little embarrassed. "Maybe we should forget about it the first day and worry about it for the second and third day."
"Short of that breakfast at eightish sounds good to me. Will the two of you join us?" Dan said as he looked first to Jay then to Mindy half knowing the answer already. He might have trusted him a little more but they were all friends and family so it didn't make sense that they wouldn't come in his mind.

Lisa nodded, "Sure thing, I'd love to help you. If you wanted we could come back after breakfast and do that, if you wanted it done for the first day. It shouldn't take too long." She said smiling. She raised her hand to his hair and gently took a lock between her fingers. "It's not permanent, is it?" She asked in a hopeful tone. "Your hair is so beautiful, and it suits your face, not that black wouldn't, but...." She stopped and blushed. "It's up to you." She said finally and became silent.

"There are dyes that are permanent?" Dan asked blushing suddenly not only at his own inexperience but also by Lisa's compliment and close nature. The two of them must have looked funy to the other two blushing over something like dyeing hair. "W-well either way I appreciate any help I can get. We'll see how it turns out after some good morning food."

"Oh, well not permanent for ever permanent.... More like it will be that color till your hair grows out, but there are also temporary coloring dyes." She said expressing what she knew of hair coloring. She'd helped Jay a few times with hers, as Jay had helped her with hers. "I could help you with yours though, I know enough that I could do that. When ever you'd like we can do it, okay." She said smiling kindly. She nodded to his response, feeling like she had made a fool of herself.
