Vempyremon made a grab for Devri's arm to 'squeeze' and feel how fit he was exactly. She slowly looked over towards Lucus and gave a little raise of her eyebrows in an upset kind of way. "He has your blood. Devri is part of you. That should be reason enough. Just for a little bit..." Vempyremon bowed her head a bit and let go of Devri to face Lucus. "You better not act like this when...wh-...if this other child is born."
Nodding slightly, Lance seemed to ignore Lanie's statement. The first one anyway. He put his hands on the side of the bed and look Lanie in the eye to show his seriousness about the game, despite the tiny smile on his face. "If we were playing in the entire manor, no one would find each other, and you would get lost and I would eat the cookies without you. I'll go start the cookies and by the time I get back, you better be hidden."

Devri went quiet for a moment as he watched his parents, it would be nice to be home for awhile to enjoy time with his family.. or at least his mother. Lucus stared down at Vempyremon for a few seconds before he gave a small nod. "Yes.. he is my blood. Fine. His room has remained untouched anyways so everything is still in tact. He can stay." In some odd way Lucus felt like it would be nice to have his son back within the walls of his home even if he would just end up with a headache every day from his son's antics.
Lanie gave Lance a shocked expression. "Hey! You can't eat them all I want some!" She crawled across the bed and over to Lance, positioning herself to be face to face with him, "You can't! I'm awesome at hiding, I won't get lost, nope." She put her hands on her hips and gave him a playful grin, "You'll have to look super hard to find me!"

Vempyremon got excited a little bit at Devri being able to stay inside for a while. Only a little bit. She still had other things on her mind that kept her from being fully happy for the day. Vempyremon gave Devri a pat on the back, but knew they were just wasting time now. "Right...Well, we were on our way to visit Akita. Lance should be inside. Dont...destroy anything." Vempyremon sighed and looked up at Lucus, then walking down the rest of the steps to continue forward.
Without another word in response to her anxiousness, Lance pet Lanie on the head and backed up from the bed to leave the room. "Keep in mind that this is my first time playing...because my brother never played with me." But, enough of that. Lance wanted cookies, and by the time he finished the first step in making them, he'd be ready to go find Lanie.

Devri raised a brow, "Going to visit Akita? Wouldn't she normally just come here?" He obviously was completely out of the loop with anything that had been going on.
Lucus grumbled as he trotted down the steps behind Vempyremon. "Yes. She normally would but she's just given birth so, she quite frankly should remain at home resting. We will go to her." He took Vempyremon's hand into his own. "And yes. I agree with your mother. Don't break anything."
Devri made a half frown half annoyed face at his father, "Well.. Tell her I said congrats." With that Devri made his way into the house he used to call his home.
"You've never played before? Well then, I'll have to go easy on you!" She grinned and hopped off the bed. She gave Lance a huge grin before running off out of his room and to find a place to hide. The promise of cookies made her all the more eager.

After Devri entered the house, and Lucus and Vempyremon continued for Akita's house, there was a loud noise of foot steps trotting through the house. It echoed in the large, empty space, and most of the foot steps came from Lance, who was much bigger than Lanie. It would be hard to find her... Lance quickly made his way to the kitchen to pull out the cookie ingredients to start making the batter, almost picking up the chocolate chips instead of the marshmallows. "Oh right..." He spoke to himself and shuffled through the cabinets to get the certain things. He made sure to hurry so he wouldnt keep Lanie waiting for too long. Then again, he could have just waited and finished the cookies without even trying to coax Lanie out of her hiding spot.

Devri took his time walking through the manor, his ears twitching to the sound of the footsteps. He followed one of the pairs, eventually stumbling upon Laine. "Why hello little girl.." He tilted his head a bit not expecting to see any children in the manor. To him Lanie could have just been a child who had strayed in while the doors were open at some point in time.
Lanie stopped in her tacks when she heard the unfamiliar voice and spun around. "HM!" she jumped a bit. The goatee making her think of 'the boogie man', "W-why are you in this house? Mister Lance will get mad.. I'm sure strangers aren't allowed in!"
"Mister Lance..?" Devri rubbed the back of his neck, "So you know my brother.. That ***** bear."

Lance had just about finished up the first step to baking the cookies for himself and Lanie. He finally shoved himself away from the kitchen counter and dusted his hands off from the flour and all that mess that he would clean up before his parents got home. Now it was time to search for Lanie. He had heard the soft footsteps somewhere in the other room and decided to sneak down the hallway to try and follow them. Well...when he arrived, he caught his first peek at Devri who was standing there with Lanie. Lance quickly ducked and hid behind the nearest wall before he was seen. He had a minor heart palpitation before he sighed and slipped away, sliding against the wall a little bit and avoiding going back into the room with Devri and Lanie. Lance still had a few minutes before he had to go back to the kitchen, so he retreated and went back to his own room.

Devri tilted his head a bit, "You can't be his kid.. That guys a loner.... How'd you end up in here?"
Lanie shook her head, "No, mister Lance isn't my father. He acts as a father to me but he isn't... I got lost and mister Lucus found me. That was some time ago.. I've been here since then with mister Lance." Devri somewhat smirked and couldn't help but slip in a remark that Lanie ignored which was something along the lines of Lance raising Lanie to be the perfect loner woman for his loner kingdom. "Mister Lance and I are playing hide and seek. I'm supposed to be going to hide now." Devri ruffled his hair before continuing on simply smiling in reply to her statement.

Lance just hurried back to his room before he heard any more of the conversation than he wanted to. His fists were already curled and tightened while walking back to his room. He even swung a fist randomly in the air. There wasnt an exact target he was trying to punch at, but he threw another punch and stumbled over his own feet for throwing it too hard. He fell over on the ground, luckily, in front of his room, where ever it was located in the manor. It had to be the most quietest exit Lance has made ever when provoked this much. Cookies with marshmallows were out of the question now. Lanie could eat them by herself when they're done.

Devri made his way back to his own room, once inside he went through the belongings that he'd left behind since he never bothered to come back to get anything once he'd been kicked out. Lanie on the other hand couldn't decide on a hiding place and eventually made her way back to Lance's room figuring it'd be the last place he'd look to find her. Peeking in she saw Lance on the floor. "Mister Lance..? Are you alright..?" She slipped into the room carefully and seated herself on the floor beside him, "There was a weird man out there who said he was your brother.."

Lance shifted on the ground, but still had his face buried within the carpet. The curled fist he held slowly unraveled then tightened again with claws dug into the carpet this time to scratch at it like some sort of stress reliever. His face was covered with hair and his voice was muffled. He really didnt want to have to show his angry side around Lanie and dared not move, otherwise he'd be tempted to...yes, kill Devri. They were home alone. It would have worked. Calm...Calm... He tried to tell himself that. Lance only had a few more minutes before he had to go back to continue with the cookies. So he just decided to stay there on the floor...

Lanie frowned. She hadn't the slightest clue what was wrong with Lance so she had no idea how to make it better. "It... It's okay Mister Lance.. I'm here with you.. I'll stay here with you.." She leaned over to rest herself a bit on Lance, reaching a small hand up to pet his hair. Even if she didn't know what was wrong she could at least try to comfort him. "You don't have to be angry or sad Mister Lance.. I'm always here to give you a feel better hug.." Still petting his hair she cuddled him a bit.

Lance ignored Lanie for the moment that she was there and kept his head on the ground. Eventually, he ended up pushing Lanie away with a gentle shove so he could roll over off of his stomach and onto his back. He was staring at the ceiling now, but at least it wasnt the floor, which seemed like blackness by how close he was staring, and the mass of hair that helped covered it. His eyes barely moved to look over at Lanie as he already saw her out of the corner of his eye. It hurt him to feel so inferior. Especially in front of... 'her'. Lance turned over a bit more and took Lanie into his arms to hug her tightly. After that, Lance stood up and left the room...and headed towards Devri's room.

Lanie felt her heart sink a bit at being pushed away while Lance changed his position on the floor. She really wanted to know what was wrong but wouldn't question further. "Mister Lance.." The hug felt somewhat sudden since Lance seemed rather glum but she accepted it and watched him leave the room. She didn't bother to question where he was going, instead she just sat there on the floor in Lance's room. A sad look on her face and her ears drooped.

Lance's only focus was getting to Devri's room right now, his fists actually uncurled, but sore from being so tightened earlier. It's been a while since he's actually...seen Devri, and there was his usual, strong sense of hatred towards him that kept rising as he neared Devri's room. Hoping that he was still there. He wasnt glad at all to know that Devri was back home, but seeing as he's seen everyone else in the household, it was time for them to meet face-to-face again. Lance felt bad about giving Lanie the cold shoulder, but seeing her upset that he was upset over Devri makes him feel 'strong'. Strong or not, Lance already made it to Devri's room, and stood in front of the doorway with that familiar kind of hatred pulsing in his head.
