Wailmer wince a little from the eerie sound that entered his ears, this Magnemite was going down! He bounced up and down, coming to a stop and firing a jet of water at the magnemite. The water washed over Zeus and pushed him back a few feet, almost making him fall out of his orbit. But Zeus kept his balance and shot right back up into the air. "Good Zeus, now Thundershock!" Zeus spun his magnets as the electricity generated in them and he shot out a bolt of bluish electricity at Wailmer. The Ball Whale pokemon shook violently as the electricity coursed through his body. He was really mad now! He stopped bouncing and started to roll in place. This magnemite was really annoying him now! When he had gotten a good speed going he shot off, bowling over Zeus and sanding him spinning. But that was about it, there wasn't much damage from the attack. "Oh wow! Nice Rollout! Ok Zeus, Don't let him come back around and hit him with another Thundershock!" Zeus charged up another current, and watched at the Wailmer came back around for another charge. He waited until Wailmer slammed into him again, spinning around wildly, it hurt more than before but it wasn't so bad. When he regained his balance, Zeus shot off his third Thunderbolt which hit Wailmer hard. He became disorientated and kept spinning, all the way back to the water. A few moments later he rose back up and looked at the two, defeated he swam back down into the sea. Jason immediately started writing like mad in his pad, finishing up the sketch's details. "Subject Wailmer is big and bouncy, appears to gain this roundness by filling up with water while at sea. Subject shows the ability to roll itself at high speeds thanks to its roundness, giving it access to a Rock Type move. Very interesting to a Water Type. Nice. You did great Zeus!"

Jaeshan chuckled nervously at Riza's command, not so sure that the Cyndaquil would fully understand what she meant by looking cool. He watched the Fire Mouse carefully as she avoided the first String Shot but couldn't quite dodge the second. "That's okay," he said, walking onto the battlefield and kneeling down beside Kakuna. "Maybe we should give Eris a break for now, she's looking a little tired," he suggested. Kakuna could only grunt in reply, as he too wouldn't mind taking a break. It was harder than he realized to use so much string in such a short time. Squirtle ambled after his new trainer, impressed with his teammate's transformation and ability to act even though he had no limbs to do so with. The turtle Pokemon clapped his hands, eager to get in on the action. "You want to go next, Squirtle?" Jaeshan asked, patting the Water-type on the head, and Squirtle nodded and cheered in reply. "I guess it's all right," he nodded, looking over at Riza to see what she thought about it.

"I wonder what else I can get from this particular area..." Jason said mostly to himself as he neared the water's edge. He flipped to the next page and quickly made a rough sketch of the area. "The waters around Rout 118 seem calm and peaceful, not entire sure what a young Wailer was doing aroudn here in the first place. According to the Dex, they like coming up to the beach on sunny days. But Slateport isn't that far from here. One would think that beach is more suitable for a Wailmer to bounce around and play. What do you think Zeus?" Obviously Zeus didn't answer, not even in pokespeak. "Well it didn't actually come out of the water on it's own...so that may not be a valid observation. Still, one wonders why it was hanging around in the waters inland like this. I imagine these waters are warmer since they seem stiller than those further out, but that's just a theory. There's that Beach party that will be held in Slateport tomorrow, it's possible that tat the congregation of so many extra people in that area could have spooked this young wailer over here. Hmm, very nice!" Jason happy jotted down his notes and continued to look around the area for a while more convinced he could learn more until it started to get dark. "Oh darn, the sun is starting to set. And I didn't find anything...unless you count that weird leaf thing that floated around in for a few hours before it vanished. Oh well. Let's call it a night Zeus, the old man said that this baby might be hatching soon! Can you imagine how cool that will be! Wait, I don't think I'm qualified to take charge of a baby pokemon...oh no! What am I going to do! I'M NOT READY!" Jason started to panic, but Zeus just looked at him for a bit. Jason was such a strange guy. He zapped him quickly which made Jason stop in his tracks, hit hat practically thrown off from his hair standing on end. "Damn it Zeus, I'm gonna get permanent damage if you keep doing that! Anywho, let's go to bed. Maybe we'll find something tomorrow." It was a warm night so Jason didn't need much, he calmly lay down on the ground not far from the shore, using his backpack as a pillow and nodded off to sleep almost instantly. Zeus continued to keep watch for a while more. When he was convinced that things were safe, he slowly drifted to the ground next to Jason and closed his eye, resting up as well.

Three little Snorunts ran around in a neat circle for a good while, easily dizzying anyone who wasn't prepared to see the spectacle. Tow of the Snorunt's vanished and the third stopped running, trying to catch her breath. "Maravilloso! That was real good Snorunt honey, I'm proud of you. Soon you'll be able to do that with more than just two copies. Alright, maybe we should try that new move of yours. Crenu taught you hail he said...Oh but I don't feel like getting hailed on! He can practice that more with you later." Ken said in a low whisper as he winked at Snorunt, who couldn't help but giggle. "Well let's see. Well let's keep working with your Double Team. Think you can handle running in a circle with just one copy?" Snorunt happily nodded, making a single copy of herself and started running in a circle, the two always the same distance apart and directly across from each other. "Beautiful. Ok now make two more in the middle. I want one copy to use the other as a springboard and jump up high! Remember, this is all in your mind so you'll have to really concentrate." Snorunt had a sinking feeling inside her again, what did he want her to do? Oh no this was bad, no way she could do that! But she tried, closing her eyes as she split herself int more copies, the images running into the middle of the circle. But poor Snorunt was so nervous that before they could even get into position all the copies disappeared and snorunt fell flat on her face. Defeated, she started to sob uncontrollably. Ken walked up to her and picked her up, cradling her gently. "Shhh, no no it's ok Snorunt. It's ok, just take a moment to calm down. We'll try again later maybe with Shiro. I think that's enough for now. Let's head back over to others ok?"
Crenu was still training with Spearow, trying to get that Fury Attack as accurate in a small area as possible. "Not good enough Spearow. You're not even trying are you? You've made no progress, maybe I was wrong about you." He said sternly, looking over his shoulder and spotting Kenneth with Snorunt in his arms. She was still sobbing, but she seemed to calm down when she saw Crenu standing where he had said he would be before sending her off with Ken. Crenu sighed and took her from ken, cradling her as best he could. It wasn't something that felt exactly comfortable to him, but she looked like she needed it. He didn't like the idea of babying her, but he decided to try Erika's advice. "...um...there there...your training didn't go well either? I'm sure you did what you could, we'll um, we'll try again later alright?" He kept his voice calm, but making it sound warm and endearing was just a difficult concept. The whole thing turned him off of training, he didn't much feel like being a hardass right now. "Alright Spearow, that's enough I guess. You uh...did alright. Not great, not even acceptable. But ok I guess." He recalled spearow to his pokeball, leaving Snorunt out of hers as he had decided to keep carrying her for a bit. She was still sobbing quietly after all. Crenu notice Ken trying to hold back a fit of laughter at him trying to be the nice guy, and shot him an evil stare. "Shut it." He gritted his teeth, heading south again towards Vermilion. The would be in the port city soon.

The inside of the room was defiantly not as boring as the hallway, of course there had been nothing in the hallway and the room, or rather office was full of stuff. The office like room was a rather luxurious room decorated with old heavy furniture, the kind you would expect a rich man to own. If Robin wasn't mistaken then that rich man was sitting behind his desk glaring looking over at Robin with a surprised look on his face.
"Umm, hello?" Robin said with a smile on her face and a giggled nervously. " Ah, did an Ambipom run in here a moment ago?"
The man just stared at her for a second incredulously, who the hell was this girl just busting into places with her strange outfit. The man didn't get a chance to answer though when a muffled sound come from in front of him and behind the strangely dressed girl.
"Huh?" Robin glanced behind her and spotted Luffy pinned to the wall by some unseen force. "Luffy! Are you ok?" Robin cried before turning around and glaring at the man. "What do you think you are doing! Are you the one who pinned Luffy up there? Did you take Charlies money?" She asked angrily pointing an accusing finger at the man.
"No that would be me." Came a calm voice from Robin's left.
Whirling around she turned to glare at the man. He was dressed in surprisingly normal clothes and he had a sort of wicked grin on his face. "It was you? Why would you do that!" Robin demanded.
Before the man could answer her question though the older man behind the desk stood up angrily. "Just what is with all these people bursting into my office! Get out right now!" He yelled at them.
"Umm... Lets continue this outside." Robin muttered as she the evil looking man started to make there way into the hallway and back to the ally way.

"H-hey!" he cried out, "Get back here! I want..." he struggled, "MY!" the boy continued to squirm, "POKEMOOON!" he stomped his feet. Man, that girl was a b***h. Why are the hottest girls always stuck-up bimbos? When she was out of earshot, he sighed. "Oh, excuse me," he said in a mocking French accent, making his voice high pitched to sound girly, "If ze world doesn't go my way, I have to get super bitchy to get what I want. I like to flaunt my good looks to get poor saps to do my bidding. My boobs do ze talking, and so does my a**. I am, how you say, a hoe?" He tried to wiggle free of the ropes, then looked at the ground. His belt of Pokeballs were literally a foot in front of him.
"Hm..." he moved a bit and pulled off both of his shoes, sliding them from the heel. Carefully, he moved his toes around on his left foot to grasp the toes of his right sock and pulled. The right sock fell on top of his right shoe. The breeze felt nice on his naked foot. "C'mere belty, belty, belty..." Mazarin cooed, stretching his foot out as far as it would go. His big toe just barely missed the metal clasp of his belt. He growled and flailed a little bit. "Dammit!" he cursed, "Come here!" Mazarin frowned and sighed. Then he got an idea. A brilliant idea. He picked up a rock between his toes and tossed it at one of the Pokeballs, and missed.
"Come on," he whispered, sticking his tongue out, running it over his top lip. He threw another rock. Miss. Another rock. Miss. "Fourth time's the charm!" Another rock, another miss. "Fifth time's the charm?" He missed again. "Sixth?" Finally! A rock hit one of the Pokeballs and it opened. His Shuckle emerged and looked around. "Shuckle!" he cried out, laughing, "Tap Banette's Pokeball!" he said. The worm blinked at his trainer. Why was he tied to a tree? Doing what he was told, Shuckle tapped his nose on Banette's ball and the Ghost-type emerged, looking around. He began to laugh at his trainer's plight.
"Just get me out of these ropes!" he barked. Mazarin pouted as the Ghost floated over and undid all of the knots. When he was free, Mazarin threw his hands into the air. "Free at last! Free at last! Thank God Almight, I'm free at last! I feel like I've been emancipated from slavery!" Maz recalled Shuckle and Banette sat on top of his head. Slipping his belt around his waist, Mazarin put his fists on his hips and laughed heroically. He could hear trumpets in his head. Lowering his voice to sound dashing and manly, he said "Ahahaha! And now, to..." he sighed and dropped his arms and his head. "I actually don't know what to do. D'awww..." he started to walk towards Fuschia City.

Jason awoke again on the day of the beach party and always the late riser it was already close to noon, a true spectacle to behold. Zeus didn't wake him this time because they were outdoors as opposed to on a nice old couple's couch. Even if the couple and Jason knew each other well, it was still rather rude. But out here, no one cared really, though if he loitered to long the authorities might take notice. But Jason's peace couldn't be kept in tact, because the sound of glass shattering as Jason's egg hatched made him stare in surprise. Zeus was almost frightened even by what he was looking at, and somehow Jason continued to sleep soundly! The newly hatched pokemon cried out and looked at it's surroundings, suddenly overcome by a big hunger. It slithered away noisily, vanishing by some rather large rocks. Zeus was amazed at Jason's snoring through all this, and gave him the jolt of his life. Jason yelled loudly, hopping around from the terrible pain running through his body, still unaware of what was going on. "Wh-wh-WHAT THE HELL!?" Zeus circled Jason like mad hovering down near the broken glass that had been the incubator and Jason got the picture. "WHAT!? Oh man, no way! It hatched and I was asleep!? NOOOOOOOO! Where is it, I need to know! It's just a wee baby!" Jason ran aroudn in circles frantically, dropping down to the ground as he noticed some tracks. Jason followed the rough linear track through he dirt, it was leading him to a big pile of rocks. He heard an odd crushing sound as he got closer, Jason swallowed hard as he quickly jumped over to the other side of the boulders and pulled out his pokedex, amazed at what he found there.

The walk back to the Pokemon Center was fairly quick for Keegan, as it was fairly cool outside and the redhead was not a fan of the cold. He stepped through the sliding doors and headed over to the front desk and without a word handed both Helios and Loki's Pokeballs to the nurse, figuring that even after a good night's sleep the two could use a round of healing while he found Kasiya and figured out what she'd done with all his belongings, if anything. He'd been about to head to the cafeteria when he heard the nurse call out to him. "Are you Keegan?" she asked, studying his tattered clothing closely, and he nodded. "Oh, good! I was asked to give you this," she went on, holding out the red and white room key with the worn number three etched on it. Keegan nodded again and accepted it, mumbling his thanks.
He made his way down the hallway to the right room and he put the key in the lock and opened the door, not at all surprised to find it the way he'd left it the night before. It didn't even look as though it had been used. He pulled off the belt that held his Pokeballs and tossed it on the bed before emptying his pockets, raising an eyebrow as he saw the extra Pokeball bounce a few times before coming to a stop. It took him a few moments to recall how he'd obtained it as he stripped down to his boxers, tossing the ruined clothing into a pile on the floor. Deciding to figure out what to do with it after he'd freshened up, he grabbed a clean towel and a robe and headed off to the showers.
He spent minimal time in the shower and within about ten minutes he was clean, dry and dressed, and for the most part ready to face the day. By the time he'd gone back out into the main lobby his two Pokeballs were waiting for him. He returned the key and headed over to the PCs stationed in the corners. He logged in, mulling over what to do with the seventh Pokemon he currently had in his possession, and it was then he noticed that he had a new message waiting for him. It was from his mom, sent sometime yesterday, informing him that he had a gift waiting for him. Intrigued, the redhead read on, wondering just who it was from. "Mike? You gotta be shittin' me," he muttered, reading it over again just to be sure. Mike was giving him a Pokemon as a symbol of good faith? Yeah, right, just who was he trying to kid? Nevertheless Keegan checked out his storage system. "A Duskull named Kenny? Why does that sound so familiar?" he mumbled, deciding to with draw it. In doing so he also decided to give both Tierra and Shiva a bit of a rest while he got to know his three newest Pokemon. He logged out and released the Duskull first, and it wasn't until the ghost type started mumbling at him that he remembered where he knew it from. He was one of Dante's Pokemon, he thought. Dante must have given him to Mike to take care of, but why would Mike give him to me? Is this some sort of trick or something? The Duskull seemed to remember Keegan as well, as he'd floated around behind him and was now hanging onto his shoulder. "Well, I guess we'll be seeing a lot more of each other," he said, nodding to the Requiem Pokemon, who mumbled a somewhat happy reply. ===== Miharu wasn't exactly sad when she and Marina parted ways after having their Pokemon healed, though it was now close to lunch time and Miharu felt her stomach rumble angrily. Breakfast seemed like it had been so long ago, so she headed to the cafeteria, since she really had no money to eat somewhere else. She and her party enjoyed a quick lunch, and Miharu kept a close eye on the time until it was time to head back down to the docks, where she could see the ferry to Cianwood was waiting for her. The boat itself was devoid of passengers save for Miharu, and it meant that she essentially had the place to herself.
I think it's time for some more training, she thought as she grabbed Sparkle's Pokeball and Petunia's Park Ball, and she released the Flaaffy and Pinsir. The ride to Cianwood would only be an hour or so but she figured she might as well take advantage of the open space. "Ready girls?" she called out to the two, realizing suddenly that aside from Tingle and Starrie, both of whom were genderless, all her other Pokemon were female. Talk about girl power, she thought as Sparkle and Petunia positioned themselves across from each other. "Sparkle, I want you to start off with Cotton Spore! Petunia, try not to let any of the spores hit you!"
The Flaaffy bleated happily and began to shake her body all over, sending off a cloud of fluffy, white spores that were carried on the wind towards the Stagbeetle. Petunia wasn't sure how she was going to 'fight off' all these puffy white things, but she'd sure try! She lashed out with her sharp claws, destroying several of the fairly large spores, though a few managed to cling to her pincers. Petunia ducked and weaved, managing to avoid the majority of the spores for the most parts, and though they didn't seem heavy or dangerous, for some reason the white fluffballs that did stick to her seemed to make her feel sluggish and weighed-down.

He was still wondering how he'd ended up with three of Dante's Pokemon as he examined the Pokeball that held the newest addition to his team, Kenny still hanging off his shoulder, eying the Pokeball as well. The ghost type muttered something and pointed at it, seemingly interested in seeing what was inside. "Well, alright, might as well get acquainted with the new guy," Keegan shrugged before releasing the small, green Pokemon. The Treecko blinked his large, yellow eyes a few times as he adjusted to the light, and he looked up at Keegan and Kenny curiously. "Hey there, uh, little guy," Keegan said, attempting to sound friendly. "You and I are gonna be partners from now on, how's that sound?" The gecko Pokemon just stared at him, not at all looking convinced. "True story," Keegan went on, shooting a glare at Kenny as the Duskull had started to snicker at him. "Your trainer and I came to an understanding last night, and he wants me to take care of you, uh..." he trailed off, suddenly realizing that he couldn't remember the Treecko's name. Oh crap, what was his name again? I think it was some kind of cookware or something, but that doesn't seem right... Spatula, Pot, Pan... yeah, that's it, Pan! "Pan!" he nearly shouted, causing Kenny to laugh again. Keegan knelt down and extended his hand to the little green lizard. "Welcome to the team, Pan," he said, nodding. "I bet you'll have a lot of fun with us."
At the mention of the word 'fun', Pan's eyes lit up, and he nodded, reaching out his own hand to shake Keegan's. "Tree!" he said, jumping up onto the redhead's shoulder, glancing over at Kenny and giving him a thumbs-up as well. Kenny returned the gesture, already sure he was gonna like the Treecko.
"Great, now how about we go get ourselves some breakfast?" Keegan said, standing up. The two Pokemon agreed and he made his way to the cafeteria, keeping his eyes open for signs of anyone he knew, but not because he wanted to join them; in fact, it was just the opposite. Sure enough, he spotted three familiar figures seated together at a table and he quickly turned away from them as he got in line. Deciding that he wasn't that hungry anymore he grabbed himself a strong cup of coffee and an oatmeal raisin muffin, as well as a tray full of fruit, various muffins and other things he figured his Pokemon would like, including a massive amount of soft-boiled eggs specifically for Loki. Kenny had left Keegan's side long enough to grab himself a chocolate chip muffin, and the Duskull even tossed a shiny red apple in Pan's direction when the Treecko called out to him. Keegan chanced a look back at Kilik, Mitsu and Kasiya before heading towards the doors again. "Let's take it outside," he said in a low voice, hoping they didn't notice him as he carefully made his way around a few people, deftly keeping the tray in balance and not spilling so much as a single grape or drop of coffee. He breathed a sigh of relief once he was outside, glad to see it had started to warm up a bit. He found a place to set down the overloaded food tray and he plopped down on a bench, Pan and Kenny sitting next to him. He reached into a pocket and pulled out a cigarette and his lighter, but he didn't light it right away. He sighed heavily and leaned forward, arms resting on his knees as he stared blankly at the ground. ===== Sparkle still has such a limited move pool, Miharu thought as she watched her Pinsir trying to shake off the clusters of wool that was sticking to her body. "Sparkle, Tackle! Petunia, Harden!" the small girl shouted, adjusting her ponytail as several strands of hair had come lose. The Pinsir looked up as the Flaaffy rushed forward, lowering her head in preparation to strike, and she snapped her pincers a few times before she closed her eyes and focused a bit, her shell becoming even harder than before. The Flaaffy rammed into her side, but Petunia, being both bigger and physically stronger pushed back, sending the small pink Pokemon tumbling head over heels across the deck. "Hey Petunia, not too rough, all right?" Miharu called as Sparkle picked herself up, and the Pinsir nodded a bit sheepishly. "Try again, Sparkle, and Petunia, you just try to dodge again."
The two Pokemon nodded and got back into position, and once again Sparkle charged forward, lowering her head. Miharu saw this, and touched a finger to her chin. She's taking her eyes off her target, no wonder her Tackle has been hit or miss lately, she thought, watching as Petunia easily sidestepped the oncoming attack. "Again," the girl called, and just like before, Sparkle took aim and closed her eyes, once again making it far too easy for Petunia to dodge.

When they reached the ally way Robin turned and glared at the man. "You better give Charlie's cash register back to me! It's not right to steal from people!" Putting both hands on her hips she did her best to look intimidating, of course she failed at that.
The man just laughed at her and pushed past her heading back to the crowded street. "Yeah right girlie, I am not giving that money back and there is no way you are strong enough to take it back from me. So bye girl!" The man waved goodbye at her.
"Oooh!" Robin cried angrily hopping around. "Oh don't even say it!" Robin took off after him Luffy and Brook hot on her heals. "Luffy grab that man!" She cried pointing out at the man.
Laughing Luffy took off after the man this time and was about to leap at him to grab him and tackle him down with his tail hands.
"Jolteon stop that monkey!" He growled skidding to a stop and letting out his pokemon. The small spiky yellow pokemon appeared tackling Luffy right out of the air. "All right you want to play this game then we will just battle for it!" The man just smirked at Robin as there two pokemon wrestled on the ground. "Jolteon use Thundershock on that monkey!" The small yellow spiky pokemon charged his body up and let the electricity flow through his body and into the Ambipoms.
Luffy let out a small cry at the feeling of the electricity coursing through him. "Luffy use your Brick Break on him! Get him off of you!" Robin ordered from the sideline. The agile Ambipom just grinned at the Jolteon before swinging his tail down from the side to slam down into the side of the Jolteon sending it flying off of the Ambipom and into the wall. Both of the pokemon quickly scrambled to get back up and they exchanged looks from across there playing field.
Unknown to Robin and the thief they were now gathering up a small crowd since they were battling in the middle of the street now.
"Just give it up! There is no way you can beat me! I fight for justice and your just a criminal!" Robin said with a dramatic gesture towards the other.
"Heh, there is no way your pathetic pokemon can defeat mine." The thief shot back.

"Pathetic? Your the one who's pathetic!" Robin cried out before pulling her fist closer to her chest in a determined gesture. Grinning Robin glanced down at Luffy who grinned back at her easily. "Luffy let's show them the strength of our bond! Return!"
The long tail pokemon nodded and soon they both felt the warmth of the attack flow through them as there bond was tested. Glowing a pink color Luffy dashed over to the Jolteon and jumping up he spun around slamming one of his tails down onto the Jolteon the strength of the attack was much higher then the last time that he and Robin had used it. Landing down on the ground Luffy grinned at the Jolteon his two tails at the ready behind him.
The Jolteon struggled to get up after such a strong attack coming from the two's bond. Still the lightening pokemon managed to get up though it wasn't the most stable of stances. "Come on Jolteon! I didn't give you that Thunderstone so you could lose to someone like this freaky girl!"
"You evolved your pokemon early? When it wasn't ready? Huh maybe that is why it can't take a hit." Robin taunted with a smirk on her face. "Well if it is that young then it should just take one more hit to knock it out. Luffy let's finish it off with your Swift!" Luffy grinned and swinging his tails around again a bunch of stars coming at them and homing in on the Jolteon.
"No Jolteon use Thundershock again!" The thief cried desperately. The Jolteon was a bit faster on the uptake and sent a burst of electricity out that slammed into Luffy's chest just as the stars exploded around him. When the smoke cleared though there was only one standing and it was a somewhat tired but very satisfied with its win Ambipom.
"Gah return Jolteon!" The thief groaned as he recalled his fallen pokemon. "Don't think that Jolteon is the only pokemon I own! I got this one recently in a trade! It's supposed to be super strong!" Tossing out another pokeball this time revealing an elegant looking Espeon. "Heh, this pokemon trapped your Ambipom earlier with its psychic powers and it will do it again!"
~~~~~~
Dante woke up easily except for the voices yelling at him in his head. Gah they just would not shut up. "Ok, ok I'm up..." He groaned as he sat up in the bed and tiredly rubbed his eyes. "What, what could you possibly want?" He muttered to himself.
'You forgot to set your alarm. You need to wake up and do some training.' A voice told him excitedly.
"Training... It is early in the morning and you want me to train." He muttered wishing he could glare at the voice.
'Yes, if you want to reach your former strength then you need get a lot of training. You got one of your old strong pokemon back and now you need to raise up your others to that level.'
"Urg... You do have a point. Besides the others should meet Apollo, that and the Rapidash is very good for training." He muttered. "I need a shower first though so please shut up and leave me alone." Pushing himself up he sleepily made his way over to the shower and got himself cleaned up from all the crap he had been forced to put on his face last night and forgot to clean off before falling into bed.
Oh that defiantly wasn't good, a psychic pokemon? Shoot what were they weak against? Or better yet who was smart and strong enough to go against one? Luffy was defiantly a no go, there was no way either she or Luffy could deal with any sort of psychic attacks. Brook was probably not the best choice either simply because he just didn't have the confidence to get through with this. Black*Star was to young to take on such a strong opponent, she really needed to start working with him more, then again she did just get him the other night so there hadn't been a lot of time to work with him. That left... Raz... Raz! Raz was the perfect choice now that she thought about it! The Yanma was easily the smartest member of Robin's team and the second strongest at that! Why had she not thought of him before? "Heh, well if you are changing pokemon then I will to! Luffy use Baton Pass with Razputin!" She ordered with a grin.
Looking back at Robin a depressed look on his face, he could totally take this purple pokemon! Plus it had two tails like him! Maybe he could just stay and fight instead. He didn't really have to listen to Robin he knew he could take this thing on.
"Luffy! You better listen to me! Raz is the best choice for this battle." Robin said sternly with a frown on her face. Luffy still wasn't listening to her all the time? That was a problem that needed to be solved. She knew she wasn't the smartest person ever but Luffy fought more with his stomach then anything else...
Pouting somewhat Luffy did what he was told and glowing he flipped back to Robin's side as Razputin popped out of his parkball with a few twirls in the air. The perky Yanma took in the situation for just a second understanding it right away. "Heh, good to see you Raz. Were in a battle and you have to be the best choice for this fight!"
When Dante got out of the shower he felt a lot more awake and a lot better. Changing into his clothing he stretched slightly and grabbing his stuff he left the room pocketing his key first though in case he needed to come back. Sticking his hands in his pockets he left the large fancy hotel ignoring the breakfast smells coming from the kitchen and dinning room.
Walking down the streets of the city he ignored the bustling crowd and headed off down the path and onto one of the routes not really paying to much attention to which way he was going. Since he wasn't really paying to much attention he didn't notice it when he walked through a strange floating napkin like thing. He did notice it though when he felt shivers go down his spine though. "Gah!" Dante shivered as he whipped around and turned to stare at what appeared to be a Shuppet. "Hmm it looks like I found my first opponent." He muttered as he reached into his bag and pulled out one of his pokeballs. Tossing it out he released Xanon who spun around on his point getting ready to take on this new foe.
"A Yanma huh? Well I am sure Espeon can take down your goofy little bug! Espeon use your Confusion!" The Thief grinned crossing his arms over his chest confidently. He was sure his new pokemon was strong enough to wipe out her whole team. The Espeon though glanced back at him for a moment clearly wondering if she wanted to listen to the man. Finally it seemed to decide that yes she would listen to him and flicking her tail she used her psychic powers to send a blast at the dragonfly.
Raz seemed to just shake off the attack with relative ease though he did falter slightly in the air but it didn't seem to bug him to much. While Robin was just picking him because he was her next strongest and for sure her smartest pokemon right now, that didn't change the fact that he was resistant to psychic attacks. "Huh, that didn't seem to do much damage." Robin muttered. "Still Raz lets show them your new TM move! Use your Psychic against that Espeon!" Robin cheered her pokemon onward. The small Yanma nodded determinedly and focusing his mind like this morning he used his new mental powers and grabbing the Espeon by the tail he picked up and slammed it against the wall.
"Oh no Espeon! Your a psychic pokemon how could you let yourself be overwhelmed by a psychic attack like that? Your supposed to fight those things off!" The thief yelled at his elegant psychic pokemon who picked itself off the ground. "Now fight back with your Quick Attack!" The Espeon though didn't seem to be to happy with her new trainer yelling at her and decided to just ignore his orders and started to lick the dirt off of her messy coat.
~~~~~~~~
The Shuppet stared at Dante and the Baltoy that was floating in front of him before letting out an eerie chuckle and let loose a Night Shade attack on the Baltoy. Xanon who wasn't really the speediest pokemon ever took the attack head on his body shuddering slightly at the force of the attack.
"Good work Xanon, you have a disadvantage here but I know you are strong enough to take it." Dante muttered as he glanced over at the Shuppet before deciding on an attack for Xanon to use. "Hit it with your Psybeam." He ordered the ancient clay doll pokemon. The small psychic doll didn't even make a sound of agreement but he started to glow before firing off a colored beam at ghost pokemon.
The Psybeam hit the Shuppet right in the middle sending it flying back and through a rock. That just seemed to make it angry though as it flew right back through it with an angry look on its face now.

Riza watched Eris struggle with the string for a minute before sighing and deciding to intervene. She knelt down beside the Cyndaquil and carefully removed it from her foot, and she looked over at Jaeshan before looking back at Eris again. The Cyndaquil was looking down at the ground, still a little upset about having failed her dodging exercise. She didn't look tired to Riza. "I think she can handle a little more," Riza said as she picked Eris up and cuddled her, not wanting her to be disappointed with herself. "Don't worry about what you're doing wrong," she told the fire mouse fondly. "Focus on what you're doing right, and go from there. You'll get the hang of dodging, no rush." Eris nodded and nuzzled Riza's chin, and Riza giggled a little. "Atta girl. Do you want to keep going, or do you want to have a rest?" Eris shook her head and jumped back down onto the ground, taking up a battle stance. "I think she'd like to continue," Riza said, standing up as well, though she planned on keeping a close eye on the little Pokemon. She didn't want her pushing herself too hard just to make her trainer happy. * * * * * Katie sat with the Pikachu while the nurse took Katie's Pokemon for treatment (and jumping her ahead in the line too, because she'd come all the way from Oreburgh to deliver the medicine), and Katie was a little surprised at just how different this Pikachu was compared to the one her mom had. She was sitting on the edge of the cot with the Pikachu curled up in her lap, and it had fallen asleep, a few sparks occasionally flaring from his cheeks. She opened the flap of her egg pouch and laid her hand atop the smooth shell, a small frown set in her features. 'I guess if there really is a Pichu in there I can do my best to make sure it doesn't turn out like it's mother,' she thought, running her fingertips along the top of it. After all, even though Katie's mother was a very eccentric woman she did have Katie's best interest in heart, knowing that a new Pokemon would definitely aid her in her journey. Pikachu's cheeks flashed again, and Katie nearly jumped with surprise when a sudden wave of static rippled over the surface of her egg. It made her fingers feel slightly numb, the sensation traveling all the way up her arm. 'Whoa! It reacted to the Pikachu's electricity?' she thought, staring down at the egg incredulously. "It must be," she whispered, causing Pikachu's ears to twitch and he looked up at her, and then the egg, which still sparkled and glowed with bits of lightning.
It was about then that the nurse came back into the room carrying a tray with three poke balls on it, and she gasped when she saw that the egg was glowing. "It looks as though your egg is getting ready to hatch," she said, sitting the tray down on the bed next to Katie. "Would you like to bring it to the nursery? We can get you all set up in preparation for the hatching."
Nursery? Preparation? Katie had no idea what to expect so she simply nodded, placing Pikachu back on his bed as she stood up. The egg was still brimming with electricity, but it wasn't to the point where Katie was getting shocked, it was more like putting your hand on one of those plasma globes that make your hair stand on end. Katie put her poke balls back on her belt and carefully pulled the egg from it's pouch and cradled it, giggling a little as it indeed made some of her stand on end. Katie followed the nurse out of the room, waving goodbye to the Pikachu as she did so, but no sooner had she looked away did the little mouse hop down and follow after them, jumping up onto Katie's shoulder. "Is he allowed to come to?" Katie asked.
"Of course, I'm sure he's just excited to meet the new Pokemon too. After all, it certainly is an electric-type so it's no wonder." She led them to another room in the pokecenter, one that seemed like it didn't get as much use as the others. Katie did notice that there were several baby Pokemon running around, most notably a Buneary, a Cleffa, two Oddish and a small Gible. There were also other eggs in the room, all stowed safely in incubators, but none were glowing like Katie's was. 'This is really it, I'm gonna get to meet my new Pokemon!' she thought as she set the egg down on a padded table. Pikachu watched curiously as another static wave rippled over the egg. "Any minute now," the nurse said, and she, Katie and Pikachu all leaned in as the egg glowed even brighter than before...

Sam started to stomp off in the opposite direction, determined to at the very least put her say in, but Christopher grabbed her shoulder.
"Forgive me, I didn't realize you weren't aware." Sam turned to face him, crossing her arms with a surly look on her face. "I would be happy to escort you to the police station so you could right this terrible wrong. I hope it isn't a problem." Sam shrugged, irrationally angry with him.
"No, forgive me good sir, for my intrusion. For after all, I am but a mere commoner, and a fugitive at that. No need to risk your neck," she said, mimicking his proper tone. His face hardened.
"I'm just trying to help you. No need to get snippy. If you don't want my help, just say so. You can swim all the way back to Cianwood. I wouldn't risk going through the caves. We set up electrified fences." He turned heel, and walked into the Safari Zone. Sam stood resolutely for a few moments, before sighing and bowing her head. She looked at Star, who rolled her eyes, and ran after Christopher.
"Hey! Wait up!" She caught up and grabbed his jacket. "Look, I'm sorry alright? It's been a stressful few days. This is just the icing on the cake. I would like it if you could help me get back to Cianwood. I would've liked to have seen the new Zone, but that can't be helped. So...Please?" Christopher stood still for a moment, but then turned around, his face neutrual. Sam gripped Star's fin tightly.
"I guess it can't hurt. It's only a quick hop to the harbor from here. I do wish you could have seen the Zone, it's state of the art. But, no time to waste, follow me." He lead them to a small indoor harbor, that housed a few tiny rescue boats and a big yacht. He stepped into one of the rescue boats and held out his hand. Sam took it, and hopped lightly into the watercraft. He started it up, and pulled out. Sam had Star sit next to her.
"I wonder how Miles and Devlin are doing with Dad..." she wondered aloud. Star shrugged, and just stared at her with a look of indifference. "What? You're not talking to me now?"
"It is tiring you know. It kinda takes it out of you to translate. That's why most Pokemon prefer to not speak, even to their trainer. They can usually communicate just as well without speaking." She sat back and breathed deeply. They were soon out on the sea, and as they sped past the beach, Sam saw the figure of her Dad. He was amazed to see his little daughter on the craft with some man he didn't recognize. Where had he come from?
=============
"Where to now..." Eztli looked upwards at the clear sky. Maybe she should go to the National Park. Xipil could train really easily. She started towards the Park, passing the huge Radio Tower and Train Station. However, she quickly got lost in the huge metropolis, something that happened quite often even though she visited several times a year. She passed the Game Corner (she had no coin case), and stopped in front of a tiny building. It read "The Underground". Oh, it was that huge tunnel that went from one end of Goldenrod to the other. Eztli smiled. She couldn't get lost in there!
Eztli forgot one crucial detail. The Underground was filled with several trainers. She had already dodged several, and a few creepy nerds were prowling in the dark. She ducked behind a few of the tiny shops that were set up, avoiding a kid dressed up as some kind of green monster costume. Eztli shook her head. She never understood why some kids dressed up all the time, not just on Halloween or El Dio de los Muertos. She saw the stairs straight ahead that lead to the north end of Goldenrod. She dashed for them, but just before she could reach it, a young man jumped in front of her. She smacked into him, falling backwards. She rubbed her head. She hadn't hurt anything, it was just more of habit. The boy had stayed standing. He grinned, snickering softly. He held out a hand to help her up. She took, and he pulled her up, pulling her in close. Eztli let go of his hand quickly, but not before she noticed he was one of what most people called "Super Nerds". She backed away slowly.
"I'm sorry about that, I wasn't watching where I was going," she said evenly. She tried to get past him, but he stood in her way. He cocked his head to the side, still smiling. His glasses flashed brightly in the gloom.
"You must be a trainer, otherwise you wouldn't have come down here," he whispered darkly. Eztli was a bit creeped out, but she could see where this was going.
"Yes, I am a trainer. But I'm trying to get to the National Park, that's why I'm came down here. I got lost aboveground."
"So you'll battle me?"
"I didn't say that-"
"Okay good." He took a tiny robot Pikachu out of his pocket. It was holding a pokeball. He set it down, and controlled it so it dropped the pokeball, revealing a Lickitung, already with it's long tongue drooping out covered in saliva. Eztli raised an eyebrow. Was the robot really necessary? It had done next to nothing. She sighed, resigned that she would have to battle him. What was with all these...fanatics about battles? She took Xipil's pokeball. She held it, thinking for a moment. Normal-type...but with a really long tongue. She would have to be careful.
"Xipil, Mach Punch!" she yelled as she released the fiery pokemon. She came out completely re-energized by her rest at the Pokemon Center. She hopped forward, and quickly landed a quick glowing punch to the Lickitung's soft belly. It stepped a few steps back, and Xipil started to follow it. It reached out with it's tongue, wrapping it around Xipil's body.
"Good! Nice Lick," the boy smirked. The Lickitung coated Xipil in it's thick saliva. Eztli shuddered.
"Ew...Xipil, try and burn it with Ember." Xipil exhaled flames downwards, towards the Lickitung's feet. It lifted Xipil away from it's body, where the flames couldn't reach. Eztli watched, curious. 'I'm probably severly outmatched...I can only hope that the Lickitung isn't too strong, and doesn't have as much stamina as Xipil.' She could probably also rely on Xipil's speed. Eztli blinked a few times. 'Weird way to start my journey I guess...Been busy with battles since I left. Xipil's probably going to be sore and exhausted tomarrow.'

"Onix, the Rock Snake Pokemon. It burrows through the ground at a speed of 50mph while feeding on large boulders."
The Pokedex did not lie. In front of Jason was indeed an Onix, feeding on the small rocks from the pile of stones. But something wasn't quite the same, this was not the giant rock snake that towered over opponents. No, this Onix was small, but still large for a hatching. He was about as tall as Jason was, around 5'7", and was to busy filling up on rocks to notice Jason. Just how something this big came from that egg was indeed a mystery, but the wold of pokemon was really not something to be questioned. When the Onix had apparently been satisfied by his meal, he curled up and fell asleep. Jason quickly took one of his pokeballs and tossed it, the baby Onix getting pulled in effortlessly. "...an Onix...SWEET!" Jason held up the pokeball and hopped around happily. "Oh thank you gramps, this is so awesome! Oh what am I gonna call you? Hmm, you're just a little guy now but you're gonna be huge! And mighty and tough...I know!" Jason released Onix from his pokeball again, though the baby Onix was still sleeping happily. Still, the sudden change caused him to wake up, looking around sleepily. He spotted Jason and yawned, lookign between him and Zeus. "Hey there buddy, I'm your trainer. Welcome to the family, this is Zeus." he said pointing to the Magnemite who came floating over, hovering by Jason's head and staring blankly at the Onix. "Zues, this is Atlas. I'm sure we'll get along great!" Atlas yawned, starting to wake up and nodding his head. Suddenly he was over taken by a rather playful urge and sat up on the end of his tail, but seeing as this was completely new to him Atlas just fell back with a loud thud and cried out. "ouch...not so graceful huh?"

Crenu continued onward, entering the port city of Vermilion with Ken following closely behind. Snorunt was still in his arms, no longer sobbing and feeling rather well. Crenu wasn't really concerned with her though, in fact he'd almost forgotten that he was carrying Snorunt in the first place. "Alright we're here Ken. So what now?" Crenu looked around taking in the sight of the city. It was very different from Slateport, but it did have a familiar feel to it. Not as much sand around which was a good thing, all in all this wasn't such a bad city. But even still, Crenu never liked wasting time.
"Eh? Oh well the ferry I was talking about doesn't leave for a while so there's no hurry. Why don't we take our time to look around? Vermilion is a nice place you know, that salty air, the seaside restaurants, and the port! Oh it's actually very pretty. Come on Shiro, let's explore a bit. Gosh I cna't remember the last time I was here. I wonder if that restaurant I like is still here." Ken went on about attractions and such, rambling on as he started walking aroudn randomly.
Crenu shook his head, but followed Ken regardless. If the ferry wasn't going anywhere until later then he really had no choice but to simply hang around the city waiting. If he got lucky, he might find a battle or two. He walked with Ken through the city streets looking around for anything to do. And as luck would have it he did indeed find a pokemon battle. Looked like a girl and Cyndaquil and a boy with a Squirtle. But as they got closer he saw them a little better. The boy was a tall blond, the girl a pretty raven haired girl...both of them familiar. No, it couldn't be. It was that blond guy that was in Slateport and in Dewford...and battling with him was none other than Riza. Crenu stopped and simply watched, this was still a battle after all. What the hell were two of them doing here in Vermilion? The coincidence...it was simply impossible...
