(Can the Animal Spirit Twins come into this RP? They got human forms if that helps any)
PostPosted: Wed Aug 26, 2009 10:47 pm

((The way I sees it, it was tossed to the guards, then it was automatically assumed one of them caught it. Then Tyv snuck around and took it. No harm in being a thief that fast, right? Anyway, methinks Natoe would be in charge of the guards. Or are passing NPCs like them collectively controlled by all of us? User Image

@Zale: I think it would have been best to wait until the group gets inside Meltokio. sweatdrop I'm pretty sure they're outside, 'cause Natoe's character just ran outta there.))

Azriel was startled to see Tyv among the guards. Just a few minutes earlier, she hadn't even seen him moving. Then she turned her attention back to the elf, still awaiting his answers.

((In regards to the...em... guards, yes they're NPCs and I misspelled senses. Leave me alone Azura. >.<))
The elf shifted to a more relaxed position. "As I've said before, the letters are my friend's and my initials. Aisha and Cain. In regards as to why the king wants it, I've no clue. As to why I stole it, again, as I have said, it was given to me by a dear friend of mine. When I awoke the morning of Regeneration, the ring was no longer on my person. My search lead me here and this is where I found it. The king would not see me in regards of the ring and so I've no choice but to steal it." The soldiers seemed a bit confused as to how they should go about this. They couldn't tell weather they should take the ring and elf to the king or let this play out. If I remember the stories correctly, Chief Sheena, a companion of the Idealist, Lloyd, and Zelos, the Chosen, was once a traitor as well, in the eyes of the king. If I play my cards right, they'll see the truth of this dilemma.

((Sorry I havn't been posting, I've been piled with homework lately.))

Listening to the conversation, Lee didn't know what to believe. He seemed to be telling the truth, but at the same time, Lee didn't know if she should trust him. There was one thing that confused her, why would the king take the ring? "Who was your friend? The one who gave you this ring."

He turns towards Lee and leaned against his steel bow. "Her name is Aisha. We were the best of friends as far back as I can remember. She was a master in elven magics and made that ring for me when we were around 13 years old. It was a sign of our friendship. On our way back home, we decided to stop and play hide-and-seek in the Ymir Forest. When I was counting, there was a bright flash, I didn't see where it was or how it came to be, and I called her name. There was no answer and the search parties couldn't find her. She has been missing for about thirty years. That is why I need that ring." Cain looked cold as he told the story. I'll tell them my darkest secrets to get that back. He thought to himself.

As the commotion was going on down below, two cloaked firgures were at the top of one the drawbridge's pillar, one leaned over to see the groups and he smiled wide, "I see an elf, a half-breed, and a whole lot a humans down there brother."
"Yes, there is... but it has nothing to do with us Schwarz." said the other figure staring down at the expheres imbedded into the wall.
"but, Oro!"
"But nothing," Oro looked sternly towards his brother, before continued his gazes downward, "help me think of a way to get all these souls in one go."
"Well..." Schwarz scratched his head sat down beside Oro and smiled innocently, "we could blow up the bridge."
There was a moment of silence between the two before Oro slapped Schwarz on the back of the head and simply stated, "Idiot," before going back to thinking of a plan that didn't involve total destruction of the bridge.
(notes: The reason I called Azriel a halfbreed is because these guys are animals at heart, )
(-also they refer the expheres as souls because they are lifeless and the two are reapers of another world,)
(-just to clear it up a bit, hope it helps sweatdrop )

Sheena sighed. "We need to take this to the king. He will explain it to me, as an ambassador of Mizuho." She said simply, snatching the ring out of the thiefs hands. She made sure he didnt try to steal it back, by distancing herself from him a few feet. She looked to the elf thief, sighing. "You need to come as well. Your story is believable, but we cant risk letting you get away." She explained. Going to talk to the king personally seemed the best course of action. She would not only hear his side of the story, but see why a king would be so interested in such a puny artifact. The king wasnt a bad man, Sheena knew for a fact. He was a bit stubborn, but otherwise, indebted to Lloyd and his group. Sheena being of that group, should catch his ears. Besides, the king couldnt refuse a meeting with the chief of Mizuho. He would be sacrificing an immense database and the best information gatherers in the world. For now, she would have to use that title to get down to the bottom of this. "To the castle then." She said, walking away. Of course, the guards would follow, making sure the elf was in custody first.

'What did I get myself into? If the king takes things the other way, who know what'll happen. What a pain...' Kruhk believed the thief's words, and he saw it in his eyes. His words spoke the truth, however thiefs are tricky people and who can really tell if he's telling the truth or not. Who knows. Kruhk stood behind the group and laid his eyes on the thief just in case he does something funny. "We were suppose to go to the festival too!" Kruhk whispered to himself. "Man there better be a reward at the of this."

Tyv relinquished the bell to Sheena and had no desire to take it again; he'd only wanted to evaluate it. As he followed her into Meltokio, he heard Kruhk. "You keep mentioning this festival, did I miss something? I don't remember that."

Azriel contemplated upon the elf's demeanor as she recalled what she had seen of him as he told his story. He seemed sincere enough and such a story struck a chord with her. But then again, she was aware she had a tendency to be a sentimental fool. Still unsure of things, she mentally turned to who she thought could tell best---Oscuro. Dishonesty of this caliber was a very minor sin, but it was a sin nonetheless. If the elf was lying, Oscuro could surely perceive it.

"Your intuition was right this time. I do feel that he was was being honest," she concluded.

Azriel nodded quietly in agreement as she walked along with the group. She wanted to speak her mind, but remembered that she was a half-elf among humans. And who would listen to a half-elf, besides her friends?

"Hmm."

"What?"

"I sensed other presences as we were leaving the area earlier. Two. Oddly, they were similar to us in some way."

The both of them just shrugged and put the thought from their mind for now.

Azriel noticed that Kruhk mentioned something about a festival yet again. "I keep saying, I'm not sure whether there's a festival or not either!" she replied with a laugh.

Cain wondered his way to Sheena and whispered to her quickly. "Thank you." He then slowed his pace to meet Azriel's. "I'm a bit curious, ma'am. You have a strange air about you. Like there are more than one spirits in one body. One seems a bit lighter than the other. It's quit hard to tell which is which. Would you mind shedding some light on the subject?"

((I won't be able to post any this weekend. I'm staying at my dad's and won't have any internet. I apologize.))

Azriel placed her hands over her mouth and let out a shrill gasp. Her eyes expressed deep worry.

Chiaro and Oscuro's eyes widened in shock in unison. "We should have figured we can't quite go unchecked by the senses of an elf..."

The commander of the guards managed to hear Cain. "You don't say. That reminds me, men...haven't we received a report from Sybak to be on the lookout for a half-elf marked as the Fractured Soul? I don't remember all the details, but the person is described as having a sort of split feeling about them. Apparently, they're cursed and possessed by a demon, using them as a puppet..."

"Ah, @#%$! That old bloke actually followed through on his threat! Stay calm, Azriel, don't open your big mouth..."

Azriel grew pale now and broke into a cold sweat as she gave the faintest nod. She wanted to retort that Oscuro was not a demon, but kept her hands clasped over her mouth to keep herself from doing so.

One of the guards spoke up, eyeing Azriel suspiciously. "I remember the report describing the half-elf in question as a woman with mismatched, functional wings, sir. She seems to fit the bill, sir..."

She wanted to speak in her defense with the usual excuse that her wings were just a costume accessory, but that was obviously the wrong thing to say after Cain had said what he sensed about her. So all she could do was stutter, as the rest of the guards trained their eyes on her. "Uh...er...I...I..."

"CRAP. Don't you just hate it when the tables turn like this?!"

Chiaro facepalmed. "She was keeping the secret so well today too..."

Azriel could feel those stares burning into her... She was cornered again, this time in a not-so-good way, and she couldn't figure her way out of this one.
