Kyoshi reread the letter over and over and over again. This was just unexpected. He couldn't believe this sh*t was happening to him. Of all people, him. A freaking Seraphim of the highest caliber has to watch a female who doesn't like him or want anything to do with him but make his life a living hell and feed him to the dogs. He got really angry that Zaine or rather, Zaine Venom, put this responsibility on his shoulders. How the hell was he going to take care of the most childish woman? How was he going to take jobs to survive in this world? Now he had to do more just to feed another mouth. 'I thought it was temporary but I guess she's stuck with me or rather, I'm stuck with her.' He closed up the note and took the key and stuffed them into the envelope. He had to find a place to hid them from Dusk but she was a thief. She had the sticky fingers that would be able to snatch it away. 'Like the colorful glass she was trying to take away.' He thought wryly. Looking at a potted plant and place it underneath the dirt at the very base of the pot. He went inside and layed down on the ground where the couch used to be. Sleep was nagging at him and his eyes closed. For the moment he would hold his thoughts of the shocking letter and what his next moves were going to be. He fell asleep, his features relaxing, taking all the scowl lines away and taking years away.

Kyoshi woke up with a start, his heart racing as he heard the scream. His befuddled mind thought it was coming from outside but it was closer. He rushed up on his feet, dizzy from the force, and went into the room were Dusk was. He went to her side and grabbed her shoulders, shaking her to wake up. The way she screamed disturbed him. Something was wrong. "Wake up Dusk. Wake up." He said to her gently, moving her to wake up.

Kyoshi stopped as the cool blade touched his throat, ready to slice him. He mentally shook his head. "Wake up Dusk." He grabbed her wrist that had the knife and pulled it aside, still trying to wake her up.

Kyoshi blinked and pulled her closer into his arms, holding her tightly. He rocked back and forth as he cradled her and stroked her hair to try and soothe her. "Shhhh, it's okay. Your safe. Nothing is going to hurt you." He whispered to her.

Kyoshi snapped out of it and let Dusk move away from him. He stood up not looking at her. "No you didn't cut me." He said flatly. He walked into the bathroom and quickly washed his face. After drying off he walked out of the room and went to the kitchen. He started taking out things to make breakfast, even though it was bit late for it, and started muttering under his breath. He was cooking eggs, bacon, pancakes you name it.

Kyoshi just shrugged and continued to cook. He at the moment was trying to remember how to make pancake shapes. He used to do them along time ago but it was so far in his past that he forgot. "Just be sure that you come back." He muttered, his mind going back to the letter he read earlier. He looked up at her at the memory. "Just becareful." His eyes a dark brown and hooded.

Kyoshi came out of the shower wearing black hakama pants. He went topless because he was hot from the shower. He put all the contents on a large table and pulled some milk and orange juice for Dusk. He was pleased with himself that he remembered to make animal shaped pancakes. He even had some fresh blueberries and used those to make with. Leaving it on the table, he began to look for the would-be employers envelope. He searched everywhere and couldn't find it. He left it on the table, he was sure of it. Only one other way it could disappear.
