Azrael grinned and nodded back. "And so I shall." He said to his wife. Azrael turned toward Lauvel. "Is there anything else that you need?" He asked. "Would you like something to drink?"

Smiling, Lauvel bowed his head gratefully. "I would like that very much, Azrael. I thank you for your kindness. But you two do not need to worry about me so much." He said, a bit bashfully.

Veral smiled and knelt a bit lower to get at level. "Here's what you do. You take what you learned I've told you about summoning your flame, and then you concentrate on the very center of the crystal." He explained to her softly. "When you have the center of the crystal in your mind, try to create your flame within in the crystal. Now this is very tricky and you may not get it on your first try. If it doesn't work we'll just keep trying until we get it." Veral patted Shera on the head and sat back. "Alright, you can start when your ready."

Miluiel smiled at her dear husband. He seemed happy at the thought of sharing stories of his past. These were things that she would also greatly enjoy. She hugged his arm a little tighter. "Well then, let me get you something to drink." Miluiel said kissing Azrael on the cheek and standing up. She stretched a moment and walked quietly from the room. She found a cup and went out around back to fill it with cool, clean water.

Shera took the stone in her hand and held it before her eyes. She stared at unblinkingly. It was the only thing in her universe. Only Veral's voice penetrated the skin. She tried to break though the skin of the stone just like Veral was to her mind. She concentrated very hard, hard enough that she thought she saw a glow coming from within the stone. Suddenly the stone felt very hot in her hand. It only seemed to get hotter until she dropped the stone to the ground and pulled her paw back to her mouth. She whimpered loudly and began to lick her pay consolingly.

Veral rushed over to Shera's side and gently took her paw in his hand. "Okay, it's okay." He cooed to her. "I'm sorry, little Shera, I didn't want you to get hurt." Veral touched a finger to her palm and used a healing spell to cool her palm down. "That was amazing, though, little one! It usually takes someone learning how to use magic years before getting it to glow that brightly." He told her enthusiastically. "Your spirit is so strong that it warmed up the stone. Do you feel better?" He asked after he had used the healing spell.

When Shera whimpered from the heat of the crystal, both Shinn and Mazzia leaped and got close to Shera protectively, making sure that she was okay. Shinn kept nuzzling her to try and keep concentrating on the burn before Veral had gotten to it.

Shera looked up at Veral with tears gathered in the corners of her eyes. "R-really?" She asked tearfully. She had thought that the reason for her paw being burned was due to the flame she had tried to recreate in the flame, just like what Veral had told her to do. "Well, a little." She said looking down at her paw. There was a little mark where the stone had left a mark on her paw, a mark that was now feeling better due to Veral's help. Shera looked around at her brother and smiled. "Thank you." She said softly to everyone who had come to help her. That in itself made her feel better.

Miluiel returned back to the room with her guest's cut of water. She looked to Azrael and asked him with a hospitable tone, "Is there anything I can get for you dear?" She asked her husband.

"I am fine, my love." Azreal said to her with a smile, before looking to his guest. "We can show you to where you will be staying, when you are ready." He told him with a smile. "We don't have much in the way of appearances or wealth. But we are always willing to share with those that stand with us." Azrael, seeing as after his marriage to Miluiel, the fates of both his tribe and her nation were now linked, however slightly.

Lauvel bowed low. "Th-thank you very much, the both of you. You have shown me much honor, and are excellent hosts." He told both Miluiel and Azrael.

Mazzia quickly placed her own paw upon Shera's paw and used her healing powers to get rid of the mark and hopefully the pain. "Can't have getting hurt like this. I wouldn't want your parents to get upset." She told Shera, before licking her on the cheek.

Veral sighed in relief and looked to Shinn. "It's your turn Shinn. Give it a try." He told him.

Looking at his sister reassuringly, before giving her another nuzzle, Shinn picked up the stone in his paw carefully and said. "Alright... here I go." Shinn concentrated on the stone for a few minutes before the crystal began to vibrant noticeably. Suddenly the stone spun around in the air and a small fireball launched out toward the floor just before Veral's feet.

Jumping to his feet in reaction to fire that had been launched unexpectedly at him, Veral called out a barrier to snuff out the fire before it could spread. Veral held a hand on his just and panted out of sheer surprise out of what had happened. "I don't think I had taught you how to make fireball." He said, when he had brought himself backdown.

Shinn looked ashamed and had hunched up, shivering in fear. "I'm sorry, Uncle Veral! I didn't mean to do that! I was just trying to get the stone to light up, like you and Shera did, but it wasn't working and was trying to get the power to move out of it so that you guys could see it." He said quickly, expecting punishment.

"Thank you Lauvel." Miluiel said to their guest as she sat down again beside her husband. She smiled between the two men, happy to be in such wonderful company. "So would you like us to show you your room, or would you like us to show you around the camp?" She asked.

Shera looked up at her aunt and returned her gentle lick. "Thank you Auntie." She said softly and looked back at her paw. The pain was mainly gone, along with the mark. She was already feeling better. She nuzzled Shinn back too and sat down beside her aunt to watch her brother try this bit of magic.

She watched her brother at he worked. The way he did it was slightly different from how she did. She began to lean forward to get a closer watch of what he was doing. She jumped back in alarm when the flames started to shoot from it. She looked wide-eyed from her brother to Veral. She listened to her brother's account of what happened and looked to Veral, very curious as to how he would react.

The vampire spoke up. "It might be simply that the boy's nature is offensive magic, and support magic like simple light is just the wrong kind for him, hence his manifested in the form of a fireball"

Veral sighed and patted Shinn's head reassuringly. "Its okay, Shinn. You didn't mean to do it, and its all taken care of now." He reassured the pup.

Logain, who had been watching the lesson quietly, raised a finer. "Specialties don't quite manifest themselves this young in life. Werewolves may grow up quickly, but not that quick." He said standing up and kneeling near where Shinn was huddled. "The issue here is the method used to channel energy. He he used a method for an offensive spell, rather than applicative spell like the light measure. "Now tell us in detail what you where doing to get that fireball?" He asked him.

Shinn sniffed and looked up at Logain. "I was trying to get the energy out... I was concentrating on doing that and moving it to the stone..." He told the others, still upset, but less so now that he knew that no one was angry at him.

Veral smiled. "And there we have our answer!" He said with a smile. "What you need to do to get the light, is to concentrate on the stone, and then move the energy to it. But don't go overboard or you might get burned.

Shera moved closer to her brother and peeked over his shoulder at the rock. She looked up at Shinn too. and nuzzled him. "That was still really awesome Shinn." She told her brother in a whisper. "And no one got hurt. Don't you think it was cool?" She asked looking at her brother. "You can give it another try and see if it comes out right." She said with a smile. "I can't wait to see what happens big brother." She said in a supportive tone.

Shinn chuckled nervously at his sister's comment. "Yeah... I guess it was pretty cool," he said nervously, "I guess I can give it another try." Shinn raised the stone to the level of his eyes and began to concentrate on the stone. After a few minutes, the stone let out two flashes of light and Shinn howled victoriously. "Yeah!! I did it!!" He said happily.

Veral clapped Shinn on the back and grinned at his soon-to-be niece and nephew. "Very good! You both did a very well today. Now go and get a drink of water, and then we'll review what we learned today before going to fix your Auntie Shana's tent." He told them.

Lauvel bowed to his hosts once more and smiled. "I would very much like to receive a tour of your village." He said to them, being generally curious as to how life went on in a small village like the one that Azrael and Miluiel lived in.

Grinning, Azrael stood and gestured toward the entrance of the Long House. "Well follow us then. And we'll give you the grand tour of our home.

As Shinn prepared for another try with the rock Shera stepped away from him, all the way up till she felt she was a safe distance away, and she hid beneath a worn blanket. She stuck her snout out so she could watch Shinn as he tried again. She watched quietly and held her breath. When the stone blinked she was on her feet again and barreling towards her brother. She barely stopped just before him. "Good job Shinn! Good job brother!" She cheered along with the others.

Miluiel stood up with her husband and stood beside him as they waited for Lauvel to exit the tent first. "Then it will be our pleasure to show you around." She said with a graceful tone. She wrapped a long, slender arm around Azrael and waited for him to lead her out as well.

Veral sat cross legged in front of the two pups and smiled. "Alright you two. Let's review and then we can end the lesson and help your Aunt Shana fix her tent." He told them. "First how do we create a quick barrier?" He asked Shera first.

As Lauvel stepped out of the Long House, Azrael guided Miluiel out as well smiled. "The building we were just in was the Long House. Its where we hold our tribal meetings and celebrations." He said to him gesturing behind them. "At the foot of the hill the Long House is built on, there is a cave where the Village elders take their residence." He explained as they began to make their way down the hill.

Shera sat before Veral and looked up at him. She thought for a quick second before answering, "You take your focus, and a built up amount of energy and you force it before you." She said acting it out before her soon-to-be-uncle.

Miluiel walked along beside Azrael as he began the tour. She looked over the area and remembered old times that she had had in these areas. She remembered coming to the town, and how at first she hated the man standing beside her. How was it that she had fallen so deeply for him. He had saved her from the snow and the cold after her homeland was overrun. She remembered her initiation. That, as well as her wedding to Azrael, were easily the more glorious times in her life, and both of those had happened here.

Alunn slowly got up. "I'll be back, I need some animal blood to dilute the blood inside, I'll be back eventually" he said. He slung his guitar onto his back and strode outside, picking a direction and walking in it. The direction would take him to the Long House, though he knew that not.

Logain nodded to Alunn. "Alright then. Take care my friend." He said, genuinely concerned, but knowing from his past experiences with him that Alunn would be able to take care of himself.

Veral grinned and patted Shera's head. "Very good!!" He said enthusiastically. Turning to Shinn, he asked. "And how do we create a power-barrier?"

"You focus your mind into getting between two things, then you release your energy between them!" He replied happily.

"Excellent! Now, remind me how you can create light within the crystal?" He asked the both of them.

Azrael smiled at his wife. As they walked down the hill, he made sure to never change his pace to be too much further or too much behind his wife. He liked to make sure that they were at the same pace when they were doing things like this. Smiling at Lauvel, he gestured to the houses and tents that came closest into sight. "The homes that we build are made from trees that have already fallen, or are simply tents made from hides, or we use the caves in the hill, since trees don't fall quite so often enough to provide us all with some. Some homes have more than one family staying in them, and some will switch out of where they usually stay. All members of the pack are welcome in any household." He said proudly. "While we do have a forge, it is quite crude, and rarely do we have much in the way metal."

Lauvel nodded, interested at what Azrael was saying. He looked quite surprised at the comment about the housing, given the resources these people had, it seemed like an ideal system for their community. "If you are looking for metal or even the material, plenty of blacksmiths and artisan in our homeland have not had..." He trailed off when he started to remember something he had been told earlier and soon found that thought confirmed.

"We have no money, nor anything of great trade to offer." Azrael, prepared to say it, and telling Lauvel as soon as he trailed off. "We have no wish to tax your workers with labor for nothing." He said. "We can manage as we are. My people have done so for many generations, since the time of our ancestors during the time when the Song of Life stopped." He told him. Azrael looked away, back at the path ahead and saw Alunn coming toward them. "Oh, hello there sir." He said to Alunn bowing his head respectfully to him. "How are you faring?"
