Rico looked at her blankly as she apologized. "Not a problem to m-" He was cut short by the blaring alarm and repeating message. It surprised him quite a bit. This facility had never been attacked before.

"No. This is not normal one bit," He responded, not sounding even mildly interested. Ignoring the alert, he opened the door and left the room, not sure if she was following him like she said she would.

He headed toward the armory, he knew that Derek would have already grabbed Rico's weapon and would be the one headed to the room he was in. He quickly found him. "What's happening?" He asked in the same bored tone.

Ami jumped out of her chair when the alarm was sounded. She had fallen asleep in the cafeteria while she had been eating. She stood, ignoring the warning and headed towards the labs. Normal Soldiers couldn't go in under any circumstances but Ami wasn't normal and this most definatly didn't fall under regular circumstances. As soon as she made it to the doors to the labs the door opened and Jason was shouting orders. By the sounds of it some of the newer Scientists were freaking out. Ami went to stand at his side.

"STOP MESSING AROUND! THIS IS SERIOUS." Jason sighed. None of the newer people would listen. He looked down and saw Ami standing next to him. "When did you get here?" He waited for an answer that never came, Jason was pushed over by running Scientists.

He snatched the weapon case from Derek. He opened it up, revealing an M60 Machine gun and as much ammo for it as they could fit in the case. He grabbed the gun and the ammo floated up and slammed into Rico's body, as if sticking there. They were absorbed through the clothes and then into his skin. The gun began to morph as well, becoming one with his arm. He did this to basically make himself the gun, not needing to reload.

"Derek, you know full well that leaving us here is a foolish and childish mistake. I'm going to the actual fight and she is coming with me," He said, referring to Akiko. Going to the actual battle would help out the soldiers much better than him staying in the infirmary would. Having Rico with a machine gun was like having a huge squad of snipers who communicated perfectly.

"The injured will be safer with me there, not down here. Now take us there," He demanded, unsure of where the battle was taking place.

Derek looked at the two after they both expressed their opinions. In fact he was expecting it, and had already made up his decisions before the two spoke. "Rico, rearguard. And don't shoot our guys." He said to the Soldier then looked at Akiko. "Newbie. You stay between us, and are not allowed to leave my side unless I say it's okay to. Understand?" As he was speaking to Akiko he unholstered his spare pistol, a USP .40-caliber, and offered it to her.

Derek ignored he request and seemingly ignored the fact that she had her own weapons but acknowledged that fact by simply putting his spare sidearm back in its holster. Hefting up his P90 he aimed down the hallway with one hand and keyed the radio in his left breast pocket with his other hand. "Victor Alpha, this is Victor 9 actual. I've got two Papa's with me. Status?"

"90% of the Victor India Papa's have been secured, Victor 9 actual. No contact with the Tango's yet."

The crackle of gunfire could be heard over the radio and through the halls. "Scratch that! This is Victor 2 actual! Heavy Contact with Tango's! We've got wounded!"

Derek put on his eyepiece and pulled up the Heads-Up Display. He pulled an extra eyepiece from his pocket and tossed it to Rico. Synching the two he drew a line from their current position to Victor 2's. "Rico, you take Akiko and follow the blue line to Victor 2's position. Leave her to deal with the wounded, and follow the green line which should take you behind the enemy position. On your way to Victor 2's position you'll come across one of the light armory's." A red X appaeared on Rico's heads up display adjacent to the blue line. "Grab a vest for yourself and Akiko. Understand?" He waited for an answer from Rico, but while he did so he pulled up a list of all the registered personnel within the base.

The HUD Eyepiece floated towards Rico's head and attached itself. He nodded his head. "Understood," He said before following the line projected by the eye piece.

He raced down the halls, sure the doctor could keep up. They neared the room with the wounded. He grabbed one of the bullet proof vests and handed it to Akiko. He decided to ignore orders and not take one for himself, leaving them for those who needed them. "I'm afraid that this is where we go our separate ways, doctor," He said, in the same monotone always used.

He then left, heading after the green line. After a minute or two, he found himself outside, on the battlefield. He held his gun pointed directly into the air, continually shooting. A general yelled at him for wasting bullets and drawing enemy attention to their area. Rico closed his eyes and shook his head.

Every bullet he fired, came falling out of the sky, each head toward an enemy soldier. They all hit at the same point, the middle of the top of the head. The soldiers fell to the ground, dead.

Derek was about to leave when he stopped himself from bumping into Lunaria. Looking down at her through his eyepiece he briefly lost his train of thought and just stared.

"Uh...Uhmm....Infirmary. Head to the Infirmary and await further orders." He said before moving around her and sprinted down the hall opposite of the way Rico had gone. The Trainer was in a hurry because he was looking for Rinie. She was restricted to her wheelchair, and her special abilities could only get her so far. Derek hoped to god Rinie had listened to the announcement and stayed in a nice broom closet or something. But the thought pushed him to almost go into a full sprint. Rinie, like himself, hardly ever did what they were told to do.
