((The breath of life! Arise!))
As quick as Jessie had met the man, he was gone, seemingly assimilated into the gathering darkness of the lenghty alleyway. Putting her hands in her pockets, she started a slow walk home, disappointed. But why? Was it because she didn't catch the young man in any suspicious activity, or was it because he had refused to let her join him?

Lucien walked with Brisk speed towards a more discreet alley, this time pinpointing Tamara's own dark aura. He focused a shadowgate with all he could and walked through. He thought back at the woman he met. Who was she?

With nothing better to do, Jessie returned to her hideout, frustrated. Reaching into her holster, she pulled out Wyldfyre and placed a bullet into the body of the dead homeless man who was still laying in her alley. She would take care of him later. Once inside, she removed her cloak, threw it over a chair, and flopped down on the couch, bored. She wished she had a TV in here.

Tamara heard the opening of a door behind her and turned around. It was a black shadowgate, Her eyes wide with anticipation.
Then Lucien fell down to his face with a slump, the shadow gate vanishing behind him. "Agh...I'm never doing that again..."

Demi stood by the water her weapon ready as she watched over the immense chaos of the destroyed ship and the dozens of soldiers and police racing around searching for clues as to the culprit. Though her name would make her a suspect very few people knew her face in this city. She couldn't help but be a little curious as to the actual suspects she thought it could be those people who appeared out of nowhere but dismissed that thought immediately, they were just kids.
Warakai opened an eye barely caring "your not dead then?" he asked closing his eye again straight away.

"No, I'm dead you're just seeing a ghost...." said Lucien sarcastically. He managed to get to his knees then was tackled down by Tamara.
"Where the hell were you?!", she demanded.

Leith woke up and stretched. "you hungry Lucien? Or just sleep?" she felt she had something to say but she couldn't remember any more. She got up from the chair and went to kitchen to get herself a glass of water.

"Sleep...", he mumbled and dozed off right where he fell down.
Tamara fell asleep besides him, sawing logs. She was at peace with her brother.

Leith was actually a little surprised to see them fall asleep so quickly. She sat down at the table with her glass of water, but didn't take a sip out of it. Instead she looked at her sleeping comrades then back to the water in the glass. She placed one of her hands over the liquid and it started to raise out of the container. It spilled quIetly and evenly onto the tabletop and into a perfect circular pool. She then aquired a more serious look as the water gathered up and started to form into a familair shape. After a minute of concentration the water finally looked similar to a naked woman. Leith smiled and wiggled her fingers slightly-- the figure began to dance as a gypsy like skirt formed around her waist. Leith had been working on that one for a while now.

With nothing else to do but think, (and thinking too hard made her sleepy), Jessie began to fade in and out of sleep. Her life was one of solitude: she didn't do much other than scavenge for food, eat, sleep, hang out here and wander the city; a routine she had repeated for the last seven years. Why didn't anything change? Was it the monotonity of the city itself? Or was Jessied doomed to this life, forever?

Leith sighed and carefully sucked all the water back into the glass that was infront of her, the gypsy dissappearing from the head to toe. She took a couple of gulps of the liquid before shuffling back to her seat and finding a comfortable position to sleep.
((I'm sure you guys won't mind a needed time skip?))
Leith opened one of her eyes slowly, wondering why she was awake. She looked at the clock on the DVD player that sat on the entertainment center; it read 10:27. Late, but still too early for how she felt. She squeezed her eyes shut again, but knew immediately that she wouldn't find sleep again. She threw her blanket off and went back to the same spot she had sat at before she fell asleep; staring at the table blankly as she tried to remember her dream.
