Chiyo_Sayuri
"I am currently helping the Geisha of the Okiya. I just arrived here...... so I'm not quite sure what to do. I just waited for someone to ask for help." She looked in the direction that the voice came. "Maybe you could help her?"

P5. hmm..? Sakura wondered, she stared off to the direction the other girl were looking at and Sakura stared in astonishment. There, was a lovely Maikor or Geisha, she couldn't tell, but she was beautiful. "Thanks anyways for your help." Sakura said smiling slightly, "I think I'll just start helping and doing my chores now, thanks again!" Sakura bowed quickly and wandered off to her room that someone else told her was hers.

P6. Finally, Sakura arrived at her room, it was small, but it was good enough for her. Sakura kneeled on the tatami matting and started taking some of her stuff out of her bundle she had kept. She slowly took out a picture of her parents and her older sister. A single tear drop fell from her face, but soon dissapeared after Sakura wiped it away. "I miss you so much.." Sakura whispered to herself. She then quickly stood it on a small table on the side of her futon. I wonder if I'll make some friends here? Sakura wondered. Sakura wished also that one day, she can also become a Geisha.

"Yes, I did." Kikaru saw Xu Jia walk over. "I would like tea please, and some help with my hair when you return." She gave the girl a friendly smile, hoping she didn't look a mess to the maids eyes.
Xu Jia smiled and bowed slightly again "I will be back" she headed back to the kitchen and boiled some water. Xu Jia put herbs in the tea and stirred it lightly. She put the tea pot on a small tray with a cup beside it and brought it back to Kikaru's room. Xu Jia waited at the door to be polite walking in without being invited would have been very rude. "I have finished your tea" she smiled keeping a good posture.

P7. As Sakura was done, she wore her Maid clothes and searched around the Okiya. Maybe there was a Maiko or Geisha {(If she was lucky.)} that needed something to be done. And maybe one day she may be called down to the tea house! But that was only a dream Sakura thought, that wouldn't happen any time soon. She just started anyways.

As she passed the corridors, she saw Geisha and Maiko already having assisted by someone else, 'I wish I could help out..' Sakura thought. So Sakura decided to start cleaning the Okiya, she started walking to the door with all the cleaning supplies, and grabbed the broom and a bucket of water.

Sadayakko heard Yokome's request and quickly stood and walked to the kitchen silently. She poured cold water into a tea kettle and patiently waited for it to boil. At long last, steam began to pour form the whistle in a long, steady qhite stream. Sadayakko poured the boiling water into a heavy cast iron teapot delicately painted green; though it was heavy, it held a strange beauty to it as well. Carefully, she filled a small teabag with jasmine tea leaves and closed it, and put it into the teapot.

As it was brewing, Sadayakko arranged a tea tray that complimented the teapot and carried it to Yokome's room. Sadayakko knocked twice on the open doorway before entering and placing the tray on a stand. She poured Yokome a still steaming cup of jasmine tea. She knelt to wait to see if Yokome had any more need of her.

Post 8. Sakura dapped the cloth and brush in the water and started to scrub the floor, making sure she did not leave one single dirty smudge. She could see her reflection upon the glazing floor, oh how she looked away, she hated looking at herself, too many sad memories would floor her memory then. Sakura scrubbed, and scrubbed, pouring all of her energy and sadness, anger into it. She could feel her knuckles turning snow white while her face stained with invisible tears, she was definately lonely with sadness.

"Thank you, just set it over there." Kikaru motioned to a spot beside her bed. "..now can you help me replace these pins in my hair, they seem to have come loose.." She asked, smiling lightly at the maid before going over to her small table where her mirror sat. She kneeled down in front of it and waited for Xu Jia.
PostPosted: Sat Dec 31, 2005 4:37 pm

Xu Jia walked towards the table and put down the tea "would you like me to comb you hair first?" she slowly made the pins looser to take them out without pulling her hair. One by one she took the pins out and straightened her hair, it made it easier to evenly put the pins back in, of course being as gently as she could.

Mitsuki was tired of waiting. All her life she had been waiting for a chance to become a maiko, or even a geisha. And finally, when she gets the chance, it means nothing. Mitsuki didn't even know why she felt that was, she just did. "I'll show all of them I can become a geisha," she said. "Even you, Hatsumomo...." She looked over at the beautiful maid with great envy.

((No offense to you personally, Hatsumomo! 4laugh ))

*in her mind*
'So what am I waiting for?' she asked herself. 'Am I just waiting for my chance to slip away?...No, Mitsuki. No, you're not going to let this happen.'

*thinking*
She remembered her days with her mother and father. Her mother always used to tell her that she would be confronted with a great challenge in her life. Mitsuki felt that this was what she was talking about.

Mitsuki finally decided that now, she would take a stand. She walked out of the maid's quarters and into the kitchen. There, she found a cloth and dampened it with some water. She saw some dirty cups in a stack and had the urge to make them shine. Mitsuki took down a cup and cleaned out the leftover tea that was in the cup. After a few minutes she had finished cleaning all the cups and left them sparkling. She set them neatly in two rows and smiled. She admired her work.

Post9. So Sakura kept on Scrubbing, and Scrubbing till' she couldn't even see a speck of dirt on the floor. Than she put away the bucket of water and cloth and took out a round spiked-brush. She walked over to the sandels with very high heels in front of the Okiya sliding door and started scrubbing one, at a time, so the dirt of the Shoes may come out. Her hands were sore, she could feel them turning white but feeling red. She could feel a hot headache screaming through her mind, while her body seemed so stiff and tired, never like before. In an instance, she collapsed and fainted right on the floor. . .

((post 1))

Yukiko arrived at the doorstep of her okiya with nothing but the clothes on her back and a small satchel containg only the most precious of her personal items: a picture of her and her father, a small jar of cherry scented lotin that her grandmother gave her, and a beautiful laquered comb an old man had purchased for her because she kept him company on a long journey.
She held her breath with anticipation as she knocked on the door.
"They can be no worse than mother..." she mentally re-assured herself as she put on a polite and friendly demenor. She desperately wanted to make a good impression and resolved to work hard, physically, mentally, and emotionally. "They will be my new family." she thought as she reflected on all the wonderful times she had with her father before he died.

Mitsuki was pleased with her work, but was very tired. She walked over to the maid quarters and layed down. Her thoughts drifted away to a subject that she had never thpught about or ever wanted to, her father. He was a cruel man. He would abuse her mother and have affairs with other women. Mitsuki was afraid that her father would do the same to her, so she ran away. Mitsuki would never forget the last piece of advice she would ever hear from her mother: 'Don't let anyone take advantage of you, Mitsuki.'
Mitsuki began to drift off to sleep.

After a long spell of slumber, Mitsuki woke up crying. She had dreamt of her mother. Mitsuki took out her small cloth bag and opened it. She pulled out a picture of her mother and stared at it with a long, mournful gaze. Then she took out the beautiful flower comb her mother gave to her. The flower was the shape and size of a habiscus, and was pink, white, and yellow. Hanging off of the flower were strands of flowers. Mitsuki ran her fingers through the strands.
