Adrian shrugged. "I've always wanted to poke a brain with a stick, doesn't matter who's it is. And those brains aren't in your head anymore, so what's wrong with poking them? They ARE dead." The rat walked back over to the unicat and patted Carlos's head. "It's nothing personal."

The unicat was looking a little green when the rat patted his head. "All right but if you poking my dead brains makes me throw up, it'll be in your lap. Deal?"

"You don't have to watch me poke them. You can always wait by the car and not have to see it, therefore you don't have to worry about throwing up and my cloths are safe." Adrian pointed out.

"But how can I trust you not to perform bizarre experiments on them if I'm not keeping an eye on the lot of you? I want to make sure you play nice." Even mentioning the experimentation joke brought horrible visions to mind, in part thanks to movies, but also to those who lived under the same roof. The shade of green actually brightened a little, though if it was even visible in the dark was impossible to say.

"You don't trust me? I though I was the one with the trust issues in this relationship? I won't do anything but poke them." The rat noticed his boyfriend turned even more green and headed back over to Carlos. "You're looking kind of green."

"Well... if it helps, I've been joking this whole time, even the trust issue part." He smiled weakly as Adrian returned to his side. "I'm all right... it was just the idea of experimenting on body parts. Not everyone at my place is a nice guy, you know, like us."

"Naw... Dad's not twisted, he's just jaded, I guess." He snuggled into Adrian's chest, as always careful with the horn. He felt safe and even less queasy in the rat's arms, and it made him smile.

"Your dad has to be twisted, if he's anything like me, since I'm pretty twisted." He looked down at his unicat and saw that he looked less green and was smiling. It made the rat feel all warm and fuzzy on the inside. He would never actually say that though!

"Hm, I suppose so..." Carlos leaned up to kiss his lips lightly, then peered at him closely with a grin and a tail flick. "What makes you so twisted? I bet you pull the wings off of butterflies when I'm not looking."

Adrian kissed the unicat back and watched Carlos. "I don't harm helpless animals, it's anthros I can't stand. You don't think getting into fights, and drinking, and all that other bad stuff I've done isn't twisted?"

Carlos grinned, then blinked as he considered Adrian's question. He shrugged. "I don't know... I guess with a fight it depends on whether you're picking on the other person, or if you're angry at them or protecting someone else from danger." Otherwise, when it came to drinking and fighting, no matter how Jimi had tried to shield him from that kind of life, Carlos still regarded it as normal because it was his father's life. "But I guess I can't really answer that. I'm not like that but I see it all the time and it seems normal to me. Maybe my life's twisted too..." he chuckled faintly.

"I guess we're both pretty twisted than, huh? You'd have to be at least slightly twisted to think that drunks and fights are a normal life style." He smirked slightly. "And with a dad like Jimi, no wonder you're twisted."

Carlos purred happily, finding his tail wrap around Adrian's leg lightly. "I guess you're right. But you know what? I don't mind at all. I'm in good company, I think." He smiled happily and nipped at the rat's chin.
