After returning the kiss with his own Emris leaned against Terrie and chuckled softly. His heart was pounding wildly in his chest and the foxtaur was surprised it hadn't burst yet from all the things going on around him.
"Terrie." He whispered kissing her once more before pulling back, "Unfortunately we can't stay here all day...." He chuckled, his resolve weak against the thoughts of leaving this perfect scene.

Terrie groaned softly. "Why not?" She asked coyly. She looked at him with shining eyes, fingers brushing his jaw adoringly. "It's not everyday my dreams come true. Can't we stay just a while longer?"

Laughing Emris shook his head in amazement at Terrie before holding his hands up in defeat. "Alright...since it seems that I can't say no to you." He grinned and stretched backwards. "Just don't start thinking that you have to stay here for your dream." He poked her playfully on the nose, "Because I've found that my dream travels with a certain lovely green foxtaur with sparkling eyes.."

Grinning in triumph, her paws stomped happily on the ground, tail twitching with pleasure. Giggling at the nose poke, Terrie stood on her toes so that she could wrap her arms around his neck and clung like that for a moment. Lovely...
"I feel like anything is possible now. But my dream will stay here. When we leave, dream will turn into actual life. I just want to remember this moment, because it will seem to dull a little once life begins again. Life will shine too bright now that I have you. Just dreaming of you compared to actually having you..." She sighed happily, pressing her lips to his warm skin.

"Pssh, I won't let it dull." Joked Emris with a grin before sitting down and tugging Terrie to the ground to sit beside of him. Wrapping his arms around her the foxtaur looked at her with a gentle smile. "Let's not even think of life right now." He murmured softly while nuzzling her, "Dreaming is good..."

With a chuckle Terrie snuggled against Emris, lightly stroking his chest. "I think I can forget life for the time being. You might have to drag me out of here to get me to leave though. Dreaming is rather nice."

Emris chuckled softly as he held onto Terrie, "Yes yes it is." He snuggled back against Terrie before allowing his eyes to close softly. His tail flicked back and forth before laying over Terrie's tail and curling up against her side. A sigh of contentment left Emris' lips as he rested there with Terrie.

A comfortable sigh slipping out in response, Terrie stroked the fur of the fox part of Emris' back, burying her fingers into the thick winter coat. Her other arm wrapped around his chest, keeping him as close as she could manage. Listening to his heartbeat, she realized that, like Emris had said, part of this dream would always be with them after they left here.

Lying against Terrie, Emris had no motivation to move from his comfort. Yet at the same time a small pang shot through his heart as he realized that soon life would take over this short paradise that he was in with Terrie. Pushing any thoughts away the foxtaur found himself falling asleep without meaning too.

Listening to Emris' breath even out and his pulse relax, Terrie looked up and smiled. He had fallen asleep! She studied him a moment. His face had a slightly different feel when he slept. The barriers and worries were gone. He looked so peaceful and alive and fresh.
With a happy sigh, she snuggled into his side and closed her eyes, happy to take a nap against him. Soon she was dreaming. Dreaming of the future. The pitter-patter of little feet...

Flurries of snow fell silently throughout the forest in the midst of the night leaving no trace of the ground beneath. All was in white on this particular morning as a certain foxtaur awoke from his awkward position on his desk where he had fallen asleep the night before. A crisp breeze shuddered around the house and only came in when Emris finally opened the wooden shutters of the window to take a peek at the winter wonderland which had appeared like magic. It felt like years since he had traveled to the market with Terrie, but in fact it had only been a little over a month since then...
"Oh." Yawning the foxtaur stretched and glanced back in dismay at the small mess he had made by falling sleeping on the documents. Still, nothing really could put Emris down as he closed the window because of one single fact: Terrie was still with him and so far no talk of her house had arose since the winter had come upon them. Not that he minded the winter weather that allowed Terrie to stay longer, in fact he was far from minding it. He even hoped that she'd never move out, but the foxtaur hadn't gotten around to asking her anything serious yet. Sighing Emris rearranged the stack of papers and opened his study door.
Peeking down the hallway he wondered if Terrie was awake yet. 'Maybe I should head on to the kitchen?' He wondered before silently padding down the hallway.

Terrie woke slowly, stretching her limbs. The first thing she did after blinking the sleep from her eyes and mind was to smile. A bright, warm, content, and almost disbelieving, smile.
One reason for the smile was Emris. Ever since that magical day at the market, Terrie had been going through a time of self-growth. She was sleeping more consistently, she wasn't always looking behind her, she smiled more and laughed fully more. All this allowed her to be closer to Emris than anything. He was why she was feeling alive. Truly living.
But the main reason.... she had found something out last night. Something amazing and wonderful. Yet remembering this reason, her smile faded into a nervous frown. Would she be able to handle what this meant? Would Emris accept it?
She eyed the bedroom door and nibbled on a fingernail. How was she going to tell him? Terrie pushed herself from the bed and slowly began to brush her hair out, taking her time and thinking, her free hand unconciously drifting to her fox belly and resting there.

Finding the kitchen empty, Emris decided to get a good breakfast going as a small treat for the two of them. Feeding more kindling to the fire the foxtaur grabbed a pan and shuffled through his supplies after. 'Ah! There's those eggs that I gathered yesterday...' That done Emris set to work...
Soon a nice smell of a full breakfast filled the kitchen as Emris began to set the table with toasted bread, peach jam, eggs, and fried meat. His stomach rumbled hungrily but Emris waited for Terrie before he would touch any food.

Touching her hand gently to the door, it swung open easily and the scent of warm food filled her senses. She licked her lips, pushing the subject of her nervousness to the back of her mind but not forgetting it, she trotted lightly down the hall to the kitchen.
Pausing in the doorway, Terrie took a moment to watch Emris, looking at him differently this morning. A slight tilt of her head, one corner of her mouth turned up dreamily, eyes bright with the mix of adoration and worry. "That smells lovely." She said finally, smiling at Emris and walking in, trying to look relaxed.

Smiling playfully Emris nodded and grinned, "It should." He chuckled and gazed at Terrie. "After all I spend all morning over that hot fire cooking like crazy just for you."
His playful air kinda dimmed though as he looked intently at Terrie. Some sort of gut feeling was making him feel as if there was something that was bothering her but he just couldn't tell what. "Are you..." Emris trailed off and shook his head, surely he was just imagining things. She'd tell him if something big was worrying her...or so he hoped. "Ne...never mind."
