It was morning, half an hour before Feimurgan would open. Almost everything was prepared for the business day.
When those two buddies entered the store - how rude to simply ignore the 'Closed' tag on the front door - one of the waitresses peeked out of the kitchen behind the counter.
"Excuse me, but we haven't op..." The rest of the sentence got stuck in her throat when the girl faced the strangers, then those weapons. Obviously, she was ignored but she wasn't unhappy about that. When steel smashed glass and wood, she shrieked out loud and jumped back into the kitchen, alarming the rest of the staff. Four other employees rushed down the staircase on the wall opposite to the counter.
"Relenna, you okay?? What happen....uhh...s**t." A woman with curled black hair and a tanned complexion, named Kara, nudged her male workmate - "Quick, call Lucind. She's up on the roof." - then she took the last steps down and crossed her arms in front of her chest. "I think there're more friendly ways to order something..."
The young man scuttled through the library section and wanted to take an elevator when he noticed the door to his boss' room being slightly open. Therefore he stormed in and found Lucind standing in front of her bed, straightening her top.
"Miss Lucind, there are -"
"Special guests."
"Well...kinda..."
"Saw them coming." The Half-Siren turned around to follow him, tying her unruly blue strands and revealing unusual shaped ears.
When she finally made her way down and stopping next to the staircase, the woman scanned the scene and decided that this smelled like serious trouble. And I thought it would be more peaceful having my cafe here and not in the stadium...
"Good morning. Can I help you?"

"Oooh? Is this her then?" Nakir glanced over at Munkar, scratching the stump that remained of his left hand slightly.
"She seems to fit the description." He held out the hammer so it pointed towards Lucind, attempting to gesture towards the blue hair and the ears and whatnot.
"To work then?" "To work."
Quite suddenly a long gruesome looking knife would extend from Nakir's wrist. If he'd known who Captain Hook was, he might've chosen a more tasteful form of weaponry, but alas it was not to be. Anyways, the knife was just a nasty looking deterrent. He had no intention of harming the boss' second girl, it was more like, 'spooking' her into coming along.
The subtleties of his knife hand aside, Nakir disappeared, quickly reappearing behind Lucind.
"Who is your Lord?"
If she chose to answer, Nakir would interrupt her by doing his little magic trick again, opting this time to rematerialize hanging upside-down by her left side.
"What is your way of life?"
The same interruption manoeuvre would be repeated, putting Nakir directly in front of her, as Munkar would start covering the distance between Lucind and himself, holding the hammer to the side and at the ready.
"Who is your Prophet?"
And then he'd wait.

The first time, she tried to answer indeed and tensed up in the moment Nakir did his 'little trick', her ears twitching.
The second and third time she followed his change of location without moving, her senses being able to catch up with this speed of magical hopping.
She noticed that Kara moved and was about to say something, but Lucind simply raised a hand to stop her. The black haired woman hurried up and vanished, propably to call help.
When Lucind spoke to the man her facial expression was completely neutral, as well as her voice: "Was is this? A quiz?" She scratched her right ear as if she was seriously pondering for an answer to his questions. A silver clip, holding nothing though, dangled from the lobe when her closed hand was placed against her hip.
"Well, gentlemen. I suggest we discuss everything else outside. I don't want to spend money on another renovation."

Nakir grinned widely. His teeth weren't malicious in nature, like many evil guys who grinned were, just teeth, but he knew how to use them. Munkar was about three or four feet behind his 'twin', and thus about the same distance in front of Lucind. He'd drawn back the hammer now, not swinging but poised to, though she wasn't supposed to notice anything like that, what with the crazy one with the knife hand being all up in her face. Well, our man would ignore her queries and requests, and start speaking once again in a rather serious, but drawn out tone, as if he'd done this kinda thing a hundred times before.
"Neither did you know nor did you seek guidance from those who had knowledge."
He'd bring his left hand up for a quick moment, the knife withdrawing to be replaced by a bright flash of fiery red light that was intended to momentarily blind Lucind, while Munkar swung his hammer for her left temple. The blow, although fatally positioned, would stop just short of its target, and if Lucind cared to look, she'd see Nakir reattaching his wrist to his grabby little hand which still held onto the hammer's handle, and then feel a slight tap, as the hammer made contact.
And then they'd all go on a magical adventure down the rabbit hole.
But if things went otherwise, well, who knows?

Shouyin And then they'd all go on a magical adventure down the rabbit hole.
Yeah, sure. Later. But first... 'Knife all up in her face?' Surely not. There was a difference between threatening and the attempt to attack. Therefore, in the very moment when Nakir's hand was about to brought up, two things happened: The Half-Siren performed one of her sound blast attacks, a so called iri kal. Lucind iri kal = "sound blast"; humming on slowly increasing frequency, soundwaves are collected within the resonance space of a Siren's head, then released (concentric) on "a" to hit the opponent or any object with a bundle of sound waves; a well performed iri kal can send a full grown man flying some metres Of course, it was done quickly and thus its strenght increased -15%. However, was Nakir prepared for something like this? If he was still able to release this flash, blinding her for a moment, her next reaction would be slowed down a little due to the suprise effect. Being blind however didn't mean for her to be helpless. Hell, only a week ago she'd got back her sight after living without it for several days. And training while being blindfolded was natural to her, too... Sure, she was no chameleon, so she didn't fully see Munkar swinging his hammer - but she also didn't have to. Such a heavy weapon made enough sound for Siren ears to approximately predict its course. Oh well, second thing to happen, a second after performing her blast attack, was a simple attempt to duck and dart forwards, rolling over her right shoulder to reach the entrance.

Nakir went flying back, which was kinda surprising, so the knife hand remained extended and he disappeared just before hitting his brother. Munkar would unfortunately swing wide, also a little taken aback by the siren's sudden resistance, but he'd be prepared now. Gathering himself, he stepped back a little and turned to the left, aiming to bring his hammer down this time on Lucind's back as she tried to roll out the entrance.
Now, Munkar's movements would be much too slow to actually catch her in time, but he didn't seem like the person to waste time and effort with something futile, which was actually pretty true. Lucind would find her roll stopped short, Nakir's right foot pressed against her left shoulder.
"You're supposed to come -quietly-."
And the hammer would hopefully strike.

With his foot against her shoulder, Lucind knelt on the floor like a sprinter in his starting block, sitting on her right heel. She didn't keep still for a second, though, her head was raised and cold amber eyes pierced his two-coloured and Lucind mumbled something in Seireneia. The woman's left hand shot up in the hollow of his knee, her body pushed off of the floor: the Half-Siren wanted to see how skilled Nakir was in doing the splits by jerking his thigh up in the same way as shoving it towards his chest and thus trying to make him lose balance.
However, in that very moment she bolted upwards, Lucind's Siren staff grew out of her right hand where it was still placed in its pearl form which she had took out of the clip some minutes ago. What she planned was not only to violently lift up Nakir's right leg, but also ram the pointed tuning fork of her staff in his left upper thigh.
If that should work, Munkar's hammer would miss her back for only a few inches.

As Lucind went about pushing up Nakir's leg uncomfortably, he simply leaned forward, pushing more and more of his weight onto his right leg, as he lifted up his left, and started to walk over her back. He was kinda bargaining on just how strong the siren was, since it's kinda hard to push up against someone pushing down on you, 'cause of gravity and all.
Now he was stepping over and onto her, at about the same time she'd be stabbing with that staff of hers, but whether it caught him or not wouldn't really matter, 'cause he'd still stomp on the small of her back with his left foot, seemingly unaffected.
Munkar would just be kinda standing there now with the hammer held up in the air, waiting for Nakir to get off her and quickly grab the handle so he could whack her and they could get going.

((I think Lu's position would've enabled her to at least push him back and prevent him from stepping onto her....*shrugs*))
How impolite to step on a woman's back. When Lucind felt the centre of gravity changing with him leaning forward it was her to lose balance and she had to made sure to catch her upper body from hitting the floor, her staff transforming back into a little pearl which she quickly put in a setting on the back of her leather wrist band which hold Maximos's ruby on top of it.
With Nakir on her back she was about to simply flop down flat on her stomach - which she tried to prevent, by propping herself on her forearms and her sidewards bent left knee. As long as she could hold this position she would at least be no stable or comfortable platform to stand on. Once again, her body tensed in an attempt to get Nakir off of her. The Half-Siren tried to roll over her right sight, pushing her body off with her left knee and food. During that motion her right arm would be brought under her body to grip one of the hidden throwing knifes - when the male employee had rushed into her room she'd just pulled her top over the knife-holding belt - and deeply stab it into the hollow of his right knee.

Nakir winced as he grabbed the hammer's handle.
"That hurt."
And Munkar hit her in the left side gently before they all whooshed away.

Her knife got stuck in his leg when she rolled around...or wanted to roll around. Because due to Nakir's weight which slowed down her moves Munkar's weapon brushed her waist ever so slightly. And it was enough to start...well, let's call it a warp.
All that Lucind's employees saw was both men simply vanished with the Half-Siren.

Maximos ::Enki had always stated that he was a man, and not a god. And that these people had blown his legend out of proportion. Perhaps now was the time to set the record straight? Or was now the time to actually be a god. Eitherway it was time to choose, and time to act.::
Leviathan looks around as throngs and throngs of people surround him and Lucind in the small garden out behind the bookstore. Each one, a fanatic zealot begging for their god's assistance in their every day life. Some wish for healing for themselves or a loved one. Some, for fertility, whether in agricultral, financial, or marital needs. Others ask for purely inane things. No matter which, Leviathan is no true god and could never give these people everything they wish for.
For over a thousand years, these people and their ancestors have believed that this creature, who walked ashore their ancient island once day and taught them the ways of literature, music, and artistry, was a god. For over a thousand years these people have believed whole heartedly in this creature of the water and devoted their very lives to that very belief.
Now, suddenly, Leviathan is back in their life and the people wish for aid from him once again. Some things he could help them with, others were out of his power. So what does a "god" do? Does he continue with the farce and not crush everything they believe in? Does he tell them the truth and let them know that everything they've believed in for the last 1,000 years is an utter lie? That is for him to decide with the aid of Gaia right now. He stands up tall, rising to his full 9' height and looks around at them before speaking*
People of Latent and descendants of the mighty Atlantians. It is true that I am the one who came to those ancient people and taught them all they know of the arts and helped them thrive on that island. It is true that they began worshipping me as a diety. But I am no all powerful creature of the heavens. I can not cure your ill, I can not resurrect your dead. I am not a god. I am merely a Water Gaurdian who was created on this Gaia to help and aid those who live within the aquatic biosphere. I am no god and need not be worshipped as such!

No, a realization is when you learn that you can take a short cut to your house, this was no simply realization. This was an epiphany. This is the sort of knowledge which teaches you that girls are different than boys and maybe....not icky? This is life changing information. And in the face of any and all epiphanys...there is silence. The crowd stopped. With a hundred faces of him there was silence was wide eyes stared in disbelief. As more people poured in and saw the shocked faces they expected perhaps he had revealed his first miracle and the silence was broken by a wave of voices asking questions like.:: What did I miss? What did he say? What did he do? Whats going on?::And as they learned the answer to that they were grew silent, in a few moments time you could have heard a pin drop in the grass. It seemed like a silent eternity where the people knew not what to do, or what to say. He was not a god, but he was? They were confused, befuddled, no one knew what was going to become of them...until one spoke. A little girl by the name of Mar'y Li'landra, who had wandered into this garden at entirely the wrong...or maybe finally the right, time. She stepped forward from the still crowd with a teary look on her ocean blue eyes...:: ...Your not....the Leviathan?

But...but...
::If I told you you were a pony, would you believe? No not until you saw the hooves. What Enki had revealed to these people was not only shocking but wholy unbelievable.
Some people like change, some despise both it and those that force change upon them. This was a large change.
The villagers were not ones to be out done by a small child, and so a woman was the next to speak. Fittingly enough she was the girls mother as could be seen as she embraced her child and pulled her back slowly. Her rich blue eyes gazed back and Enki and could say nothing.
But not all shared her quiet demeanor, another shouted at Enki. Respect for a diety that isnt a diety is useless.::
What are we supposed to do now?!
::This was met by another.::
Yeah! You have us serve you for years and now you spring on us that your not our god?! What kind of--
::He was interupted.::
Now hold on! Give the Leviathan a chance to speak! He could be testing our faith, our worthiness.
::The small man with an overabundance of faith happened to be a priest in training. And priests are honestly the hardest to convince.::
Dont you all remember the story of Belkizidor the Doubter? He doubted our Lord Leviathan for all of his life and in his moment of need, when his wife was ill he prayed...and she was healed! Surely you couldnt have forgotten, we discussed it in Temple not but 3 days ago! This must be a test!
::He turned to face Enki, running up to his feet and bowing down.::
Forgive them Lord Enki, their faith can be lke the wind, it comes and goes, but they mean well. Please, I be-seech you for forgiveness in our lack for this test...we--
::He was cut off yet again, another villager shouted down at the priest.::
Idiot-boy! Look at him! Does this look like a joke?! This is serious! He's a fake! We've been living a fake life! He knew it for years but he kept us in the dark, its all a lie! All our lives! What do you have to say to that "Leviathan", you begged for our prayer, BUT YOU WERENT LISTENING!
::There were so many different opinions on this that these few villagers were soon lost in a sea of different voices forming different opinions about the matter at hand. And soon there was a rather ravenous caucophony of shouts and whispers. Some shouted at Enki, others shouted at the doubters, some wanted to stay neutral. Yet others just cried...the mother and her daughter stood silent in quiet tear. Enki had soft hands, but he couldnt dry eyes forever.
His people needed his guidance, and his leadership. And more over, they needed his protection. It wouldnt be long before the first punch was thrown, and well...Crusades have been faught over less...::
