Hearing Savith made her look up if even for a moment. *Pha! If we could run on air we would leave you in the clouds.* Her mind happy and teasing as she said one last thing to him. *Flying backwards could smack you right into something. Many big rocks are on this beach after all My Chief.* The animal mind growled in determination. She wanted to beat Blaze and beat him good. Still he pulled ahead of her and his feet pounded the water first. So in her way to get him back as Autumn ran up on him she tackled him right into the water. Sending them both for a tumble in the surf.

Savith chuckled to himself, angling to shoot straight up to slow his forward momentum. Looking down at the two, he refrained from replying immediately, keeping the amusement within his own mind for the time being.

For such a short moment of victory, it was a good one. The first tongues of light were giving golden tinges to the coulds, and the firestarter stopped quickly, the shallow water washing over his feet. He turned to say something, only to feel the sudden impact and fall heavily onto the wave-packed sand.

The sandy, briny water got in his ears, his nose, and would have gotten in his eyes if he hadn't closed them, and as the wave receeded he came up sputtering and rubbing at his face. Pushing Joy off, he sat up just as a second wave soaked any part of his pants that might have been dry, and regarded her morosely, almost comical in his soggy, drooping expression. **Spoilsport.** He glanced up at Savith, as if expecting some help, or justification. "You saw what she did! It's on now! I don't take any prisoners, not anymore with this wolfrider, I won't!" Wet as he was, he still managed a reluctant grin. He hadn't expected it, and she'd had her revenge. Hopefully that was all.

Her mind ripped with laughter as she sat in the wet looking at Blaze. Ah he was a fun toy. Just as Pey was a fun toy as well but for different reasons. The water felt gritty though and she made a little face as she stood. *Ah a fine game and a wash is a fine idea.* As she removed her leathers she tossed them to the side for washing later. Right now she wanted to wash herself and went a bit more into the water. The water was still chilled and Autumn shivered just a moment before leaning back to get her hair wet. *mmmmm That's better then that stuffy hole in the rock wall any day* She chuckled a bit as water ran over the muscled form and caused hair like fire to cling to her flesh like it didn't want to be away from her.

Savith couldn't hold teh amusement as it bubbled forth with a chuckle. **I saw,** he replied, humor tinging the otherwise noncomittal reply. Turning, he moved to fly off toward another part of the beach. **Don't make more work for the Healer, hmm,** he sent over his shoulder, the mental chuckle alive as he flew away.

Blaze watched the glider go, brow furrowed. Preening old bird. Wouldn't ever touch the ground, if he could help it. A good fall in the dirt could do him well.

Brushing the last of the wet sand fron his hair, the firestarter sighed and pulled his own clinging clothing from his legs, and wadded them up and tossed them up out of the reach of the waves. Rolling to his feet, he waded gingerly out a little ways, telling himself that the sun would soon be up and he would be warm and dry again. The water hardly past his navel, he began to wash himself, keeping a wary eye on Joy. He'd been swimming with Dancer, but the wolfrider was a different bag of wind-spiders completely. She'd most likely dunk him if he turned his back, and he still retained his fear of being submerged.

Indeed she might just drown him in rough play but at the moment she was content to wash herself and enjoy the feel of the water on her skin. The green eyes caught the first little bits of sun as she turned to look at Blaze. *The water feels strange and tastes awful. Not a refreshing drop after such playing.* She shook her head lightly then found a place by Blaze to sit.

The firestarter cupped a bit of the sea in his hands, and took a sip before promptly spitting it out. **I think it's from sitting for so long; it gets rotten. Like a pool of water or a waterskin gone bad from the heat. Maybe if it was boiled, it could be made safe to drink, too...**

Scrubbing at his thigh with his fingernails, Blaze ignored the water and the wolfrider as the sun slid over the horizon, the first honest sunrise he'd seen in days. The rays skiped and scattered off the calm surface, and the heat of the light flooded his body again. Turning to face the light, he held his arms straight out to either side, a gesture of welcome, almost prayer-like. It was a good feeling, and he held the heat around himself like a blanket, basking contentedly in the sunrise.

Cocking her head to one side Autumn watched Blaze. *You look like a snake trying to warm yourself.* Her mind chuckled a bit as she sat and tried to clean her hair in the nasty water. She felt she would be doing this again as soon as clean water was found. Then she wondered about the Wavedancers and how they could live in such water. Still it felt cool and wet as water should and that was nice. As Blaze sun bathed Autumn eyed him over. It was hard to tell if it was a look of admiration or if she was getting ready to knock him down but when she was done seeing whatever it was she was looking for Autumn turned away and starting checking out this and that. Tasting a bit of green plant floating about in the water she spat it out, *Yuck*. Picking up a shell she looked it over a while then tossed it.

The desert elf folded his arms up behind his head, fingers clutching his shoulderbones, and arched his back tightly, muscles pulling taunt before realaxing all at once, arms falling loosely to his sides. **That is what I'm doing.** If he noticed her watching, he either didn't care, or didn't want her to think he cared. Another dunking couldn't be that bad, and he wasn't about to deny her the revenge he felt she deserved.

The salt-residue crystalizing invisibly on his skin, Blaze scratched in a bothered manner at his chin. **I could do the same for you too, if you like. But I can't heat this water with it going back and forth so. Just the air. Honestly, I don't like this water anyways. It's sticky, and I could get cleaner scrubbing myself with sand.** He turned and waded out, and found his pants. **I'm going over to where the stream falls, or I'll smell like a wavedancer before too long.**

Turing her eyes to the great waterfall Autumn nodded, *That sounds better to me too.* Grabbing her things she walked with Blaze never saying if she wanted him to warm her up or not. The trip over the falls the night she was found flashed through her head and she shuddered with a smile. So close to death was thrilling but not something she wanted to do again soon. Then she put a hand on Blazes shoulder with a chuckle, *I think I've had enough of your powers touch for one day.* She shoved him playfully hard. *Tonight while you rest I will make your floor a bed of spikes for you.* Again she laughed lightly and winked at Blaze. The mind said clearly she was teasing him but those eyes said maybe not.

Easily planting a foot to keep his balace, Blaze rolled his eyes, catching the sarcasm in the send, but not the look; eyes averted. The remark towards his touch stung, and he realized she wouldn't let it be buired so easily. He knew that he could do just as much good with heat as he could do harm, but she had been unfortunate enough to experience the harm before the good. But he would have new days and other chances to make up for his wrongs, so he let the thought go.

The idea of stone spikes gave him a start. He'd forgotten how bothersome, if not downright dangerous, an irate rockshaper could be. Shure, a heatshaper could do all manner of horrible things, but a rockshaper could be just as bad, and they could just stick an elf to a rock and just leave them to stew. And that, in his mind, was worse than any bed of daggers. **Don't say that. Now I'll be too afraid to sleep.**

(We should move this to the Waterfall and Pool section. Maybe that talk between Pey and Joy?)
