Wow! What amazing detail! surprised eek I love it! biggrin I've always wished I could draw like that...but that's not happening. Anything that takes exact detail and concentration is definitely not my forte. I praise you. What other kind of works do you make?

Lo so bene...quasi non posso aspettare! 4laugh Hai ragione.
heart Thanks!
I make (made) above all copies of photos and statues, then portaits (above all of faces and hands), then animals; I still have some problems with proportions sweatdrop I use often the chiaroscuro with pencils, charcoals and sanguigna, sometimes the pen and I'd like to learn to use the chinese ink and brushes - and in Japan I'll be able to do that, because the University offers a sumi-e course! mrgreen *jumps happily around the room*
Bella, ti abbraccerei forte adesso! heart

That's really cool! I would love to see some of your portraits. Those fascinante me. cool

Ah, I've always wanted to ask: how do you graduate? I mean, you only take final exams of each subject? In Italy the "esame di maturità" was quite important once, because it "declared" you were an "adult"; now it's quite a mess and not as important as before... it consists in 3 written exams and one oral exam. The first one is obviously the Italian composition(=tema), the second one depends on the type of school you chose (for example mine was an English composition) and the third one is a set of questions about 5 subjects. The oral exam starts with a "paper"(=tesina) about (more or less) something you liked during the last year's program, then each professor asks you some questions, more or less related to your tesina. Then you see your results after a week or so and after a month you can go and take your degree paper at school; no ceremony here... unless, if it's right for you, giving the talk2hand to the school at the end of everything pirate
Ah, I forgot: if you want to sound more "natural" the best translation of "I can't wait", "I'm looking forward to" is non vedo l'ora di + v.infinito, for ex. "non vedo l'ora di finire questo schifo di scuola e diplomarmi!" wink razz
Grazie, sono contenta che pensi questo di me! Mi fa molto piacere, mi sento onorata 3nodding
Buona fortuna con il forum!

P.S. che caaaaaalllllllldoooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!! xp basta! voglio l'inverno gonk

To graduate high school, we have to earn 22 credits before the end of our senior year. Each course is 1 credit, if it's a half-year course than it's 1/2 a credit. You only get credits if you pass the course, and if there's an exam, you must pass that, too. In the state of New York, we have a board of Regents. Only certain courses have a regents exam. For example, there's an "actual" exam for Spanish I and Spanish III. The kids in Spanish II took a final exam, made up locally by the teachers. So far I have 10 or so credits! 4laugh

Wow, if people in my school had to take a maturity exam to graduate, I think 75% would have to stay in High School. rofl

Per favore, ho bisogno del tuo aiuto...come si dice la frase "the light at the end of the tunnel" in italiano?

It's like the French "T", when the "E" is before a word that begins with a vowel it becomes "ED". For ex. "Ho trovato un vecchio libro ed era pieno di polvere" (ugh, I suck in giving examples gonk ) It's simply a matter of "musicality" wink
Mh, there's the risk for this post to become endless! razz
Can you tell me more or less what kind of words you were "looking for"? Words about feelings, aggettivi, avverbi, verbi? Just give me an insipiration and I'll "churn out" every word you like! razz )

Finalmente! Non ne potevo più dal caldo! (=this morning it rained and now there's a cool breeze, wonderful! At last! I couldn't stand the heat anymore!)
I was an Inuit in one of my previous lives) pirate

I mean like the saying. Like graduation is the light at the end of the tunnel for me. Is that it up there^^?
So the e changes to ed before a word that starts with certain vowles?

Well, music expressions would be the best. Like what you say when you talk about concerts and album releases. If I'm being too vague, let me know....

Bene per te! biggrin Qui fa molto caldo. Ieri ha piovuto un po'.

(how would you say haha or lol?) forse in una delle mie vite precedenti ero spagnola. cool

Yes, it isn't widely used but it exists..and for me it was true! especially at the end of the worst summer of my life the light "switched up" and I left for Bologna wink
Yes, like the English "A" that becomes "AN".

Can you be more specific, please? sweatdrop
You say "ahahah!"or something like that; I think it's because "HA" has to be used only as the "avere" "declination"...

Erm...I'm confusing myself. Like things you would say when you talk about a new Cd. Like "That CD is awesome!" or "The album will be released soon." or "backstage", "live", etc... I'm afraid to see what would happen if I tried to put them together myself. eek

Ok, so you wouldn't want to be saying "ithasithasithas", lol. lol

Yup,I suppose so lol
Ok, I understood it the right way then...Ah, well, we say things like "Hai visto, è uscito il nuovo CD/album di/dei... . L'ho comprato ed è spettacolare! A te piace/piacciono?" "Sì, piacciono un sacco anche a me! Potresti masterizzarmelo per piacere?" or "No, non è il mio genere,mi piace/piacciono di più ..."
Those terms remain the same, VJs say "Siamo in diretta stasera da Roma per il grande concerto live di B.Adams e Billy Joel davanti al Colosseo, in questa splendida cornice blablabla. Andiamo a dare un'occhiata nel backstage..." Now this is a murder of the italian language and a nonsense because if that's a concert of sure it's live! I don't think Adams and Joel would come here to put a disc on and and move their mouths as they were singing! scream There are too many "prestiti linguistici" from English; the spread of mobile phones and services like "manda un SMS al 494999 e riceverai una suoneria/un'immagine/un wallpaper a settimana!"(crap evil ) are killing Italian, that's extremely sad... I don't completely agree with the too-conservative French but this is too much!

rofl English is evil I tell you!!! I apologize, and yet I know how you feel. It makes me sick to see things like that. ("que bien cool" neutral )

Yucky...I got a haircut today, and I got bangs in for the first time in 3 years. I don't like it!!! But...I should straighten it. I can't stand my hair curly. Is your hair curly of straight? (this is obnoxious, but how do you say all of what I said about hair?)
