Alayah and the others were now inside the cave. The water in the cave rose up to Alayah's neck.
This is impossible... the gate isn't for miles. How can the demons be attacking at this strength if they're so far away from their power source? Demons should be the strongest in the Middle of the earth, and that's not for miles. How can these weaklings be exhibiting their full strength while we're still on the surface?
"It's that other demon... He shouldn't be able to act this powerful this far from his domain... and these weaklings shouldn't be doing much either," she said, slashing through one that resembled a floating fish with horns.

((I really wanna actually finish this one... it's coming to a close, and all they have to do is get far enough through the cave, through the demon realm, and get to the Center of the Earth... maybe a page or two? Anyone willing to take me up on that?))
A small hoard of weakling demons were stampeding toward them as they tried to make it deeper into the cave. With each slash, Alayah took a step or two forward in the water.
Until, suddenly and without warning, the stampede stopped. No more demons emerged from the depths of the cave and the water. It was if they were all defeated. The last few sounds were those of the remaining demon carcasses falling into the water.
There was a dim light glowing in the distance. But she knew better than to think that it was the end of the cave. She knew this cave only went in one direction: down.
The faint blue light in the distance was undoubtedly the first marker of the demon gate into the demon realm. Alayah knew that they must pass through the demon realm; to defeat Minixi and Vox, as well as to reach the Center of the Earth.

((I have an Idea for a semi realistic ending, Ill need permission to kill a select few))
"There are many more from where these pawns emerged..." Vox said, his being was half visible in the faint light from the sun that reached the empty space chamber. He stood coolly before them all, the bodies gathering about him with blackened blood floating in place. "You will tire yourselves and die." Vox walked further toward Alayah. "Do reconsider, your friend Clyth is as good as dead, you have a struggling magic user, a halfwit brute, a human girl with little if no understanding of the situation, and no reinforcements to help you." Vox laughed wickedly. "Minixi and I have you pinned to your deaths. You can make good use of yourselves. The fighter could be my vassal, you would be guaranteed a position in my numbers when we conquer this world. The magic user, you could be Minixi's personal attender. As for you human, your death will be swift and in any way you please." Vox smiled darkly.

((No, please don't kill my character. My character can fight off the pawns!))
Suddenly Ceren's scythe began to glow. Inside of her mind, Ceren could see it's true form. It was a majestic white dragon that began to tal to her.
"I can see that you stumbled into something that's bigger than even you cannot understand."
"Who are you?"
"I am the spirit of the scythe. I will help you find the answers to your questions. All I need you to do is trust me."
Ceren fell to the ground after feeling Vox's enormous power. She nodded and stood up with the power of the scythe. Her eyes gave off a green glow.
She looked at Alayah.
"I'll back you up so you can take care of the demons in charge."she said with another voice added to her own.
((I just want her to fight the weaker ones. I have no intention of her fighting Vox. The main reason for the scythe taking over is just to protect Ceren from Vox's powerful aura.))

Alayah continued to press onward toward Vox's form when there was a great white light from behind her. Ceren's scythe had transformed. It appeared to be almost an extension of herself. But it was the words that it spoke; it was something that immediately reminded her of the blue flame. All I need you to do is trust me. It was precisely something that the blue flame would say, if it could talk.
Alayah smiled, knowing that Ceren's scythe was a spawn of the Blue flame.
However, there was still a mission that Alayah had to accomplish. Ceren had finished off most of the lesser demons, but they all had to work together to defeat Minixi and Vox.
She spoke to the dark form of Vox as they delved deeper into the cave.
"You say we're unprepared, but I think that we're prepared as we'll ever be. But all we need to do it reach the location... your demon world. Once we get there..." her voice trailed off. Vox couldn't see that she was grinning.
Her plan was simply a matter of reaching a specific location before Vox and Minixi could do any real damage... so they had to hurry. Or stall.
((don't worry about Ceren, she's safe))

((Ooh, ooh, kill me, kill me!!! wait, no, I'm the only one who can supply the tacos...))
At the word brute, Lance's Blue Flame flared into life, his eyes appearing to turn from mere water to lighting. He slashed at the image and then ran through it. Nearly falling, he lost balance and waved his arms frantically to stay up. When he returned to a normal position, Lance saw that no effect was taken on the hologram like picture of Vox.

((Not sure, lets see how it turns out)) Vox, unscathed, smiled at his foolish brutality. He smashed his knee into Lance's stomach and kicked him backward. "Keep lying to yourself, what do you say we fight right here outside the demon world, and under your outer world, where we have no unfair advantages. Let me just call a friend. Kaboon, Tephlar! Let us end this grudge between us and the earths 'defenders'." Vox began to use his black flame to fill the area in a bubble where none could escape until Vox was killed or he called it down himself. Tephlar nodded. "Yes brother! I wield my blade in your cause!" Tephlar yelled in a battle cry while he summoned a great sword which he held powerfully before the enemy.Clyth floated lifelessly upon the shores of the river. They're all dead... All is lost. Then Clyth began to feel something begin to overtake him, warm... Was it death? No, it felt better....

The experience of having the scythe take control was quite pleasant for Ceren. She was quite aware of everything that was going on, and she knew that if she needed to take control again, the spirit would definitely let her. Normally when she used magic with the scythe, she felt quite drained. But that was not the case with the dragon. Her moves were swifter and stronger. She needed all the help she could get with each and every demon they encountered.

"Surely they're not only for me!" Lance laughed. Then, more seriously, "Alright, c'mon!" His sword in hand, he was ready to fight until he or the demons died. But there was a difference in the adolescent that had just arrogantly tried slashing an almost holographic being. Now he crouched down in the bubble and looked up at Vox from afar, his eyes slightly squinted. And he smiled.

Alayah narrowed her eyes and looked at Vox. "If you plan to fight in the demon realm, why not just bring this fight a little closer. Pass through the demon gate and enter the realm of darkness," Alayah said, swatting a demon that came plunging at her.
She kept her eye on the brother demon that Vox had summoned. He didn't look too strong, but if he and Vox both attacked at the same time, then Alayah probably couldn't withstand the attack. Alayah continued to step forward. The water was the height of her upper torso, and walking in it was on the verge of swimming.
The gate was unmistakable. It wasn't so much a gate, as a black hole that seemed to suck the water and air and everything else into it. There was a slight glow around the edges of the gate, that stretched the width of the cave.
She could almost feel the force of the earth drawing her in...

Vox began hovering backward. He lead them, against their command, into the suspended floating space of the mid layer. They were at the edges of both realms. The bubble of darkness followed. He went back behind the two demons. A pyramid formation. "Kaboon, Tphlar, yal tes aral thyl restu heirk." Vox instructed. Tephlar and Kaboon both rushed at Lance, in an attempt to pin him down. Vox propelled himself over to Alayah. "What do you say we settle the score?" Vox focused the black flame into his limbs, he planned to fight hand to hand against her magic.
A body surrounded in heavenly glow dressed in robes torn at the front of his torso wrapped in chains covered in countless scars and wounds came to the orb of darkness. His eyes we blocked by a bloody wrapping. He began to cut a careful hole into the sphere.

Ceren followed Alayah toward the demon realm. The spirit of the scythe knew Ceren's limit's and was careful not to overdo it. A multitude of demons surrounded Ceren and each of her strikes increased in power as she struck each of them down and added some more magic.

They were now all engulfed in the blackness. There seemed to be no gravity; as if they were all floating in midair of black nothingness. There were suddenly no outside noises, and the water and the cave seemed to vanish. Alayah suddenly lost her sense of direction and glanced around to find Vox again. But he had already found her. "Yes, let's settle this... in a moment," she said, floating further and further away from the place where the gate was. She was heading toward the earth's center. She didn't know if Vox was catching onto her plan, but she didn't really care.
((so for this to work out, I think I want Alayah to die, or be killed by Vox... then the rest of the people can be safe in the center of the earth...))

((That should really be easy with the black flame...))
Vox shook his head in a larger smile. "No matter where you stand, you will die." Vox rushed at Alayah, and grabbed both her arms, then unleashed the black flame on her. "This will eat at your very existance, torturing you until you die! The blue flame has failed you, nothing will save you." Vox watched the black flame do it's job as it worked it's way through her body, heading for the soul. "Die Alayah, you filthy blood imariquan!" Minixi, rally the demons at the edge of the gate, once I kill each of them we will lead the attack.
The figure finished the hole, and went into the sphere. He floated through the water slowly, his white hair flowing. The chains that had binded him previously began to unwind, then stuck at the peons of the demon one by one, striking and returning, repeating constantly with deadly accuracy. He kept a serene, yet serious face as he went getting closer to the others.

Now a pulse, nay, more of a surge of energy filled Lance's body. He put his head down, closed his eyes. When he looked up, the demons were upon him. With a smirk, the look in his eyes changed from enraged to calm and clever. They showed no sign of any ruthlessness. Lance's deceiving expression was confusing, even to him, but he kept it up nonetheless, his body trembling in fear as well as anger as he approached the demons. His sword was lifted and he prepared for a tenacious battle.
