The god was just greedy, however, and fed on the leopard's belief, as it was a rather uncommon domain to worship, and not all too frequently paid special attention. The leopard also waited on the god hand and foot (or rather paw and paw). Want some mortal sustenance? Let me catch it for you. You have special interest in that female? I'll do my best. After service far longer than a year, the leopard returned from an errand to fetch the god some dazzling feathers, the god had simply disappeared and never fulfilled his promise, and the leopard finally realized he had never intended to.
