Talon turned an went to the weapons locker. A droid handed him a training saber. "Thank you.," he said and turned away. He went back to the spot where his master was just standing with him.

Sephiroth_2000
((Ah, that's probably why I never saw it xd BTW, I did check the guild logs for that post deletion and there was no record of it being deleted, so it must have just been a Gaia Glitch))

The room was silent for a few seconds, Sephiroth not moving or saying anything, just giving Glacian a stern look. Eventually, Sephiroth leaned over the side of his seat, reaching for his datapad, the one holding the recordings from the Jedi Temple. As the flipped through the many hours of recordings, he addressed Glacian.

Before I start, I there anything you think I need to know?

He was taking the same approach as he did with Kari. He was giving Glacian a chance to admit anything of a serious nature. His answer would decide how Sephiroth would follow up.

[[gaaaahhh, I had a post ready yesterday, but I accidentally closed firefox]]

Glacian did not so much 'see' the situation that Sephiroth had set up coming as feel it coming in about 3 dozen ways. He shifted his weight before he said, "I believe you are refering to my absences as of late?" Glacian had felt this same stern feeling coming from Sephiroth when he had been approaching the room that he had been in with Kari, so he knew to cover something up would be foolish, not to mention, why should he have to?

"Though I'm sure that you know, that being why you called me here, I have been seeing someone during those absences, and it has grown beyond a simple platonic relationship. Is that what you were alluding Master Sephiroth?"

Adonis happened to be taking a stroll around the Temple, and found himself at the Jedi Archives. He continued walking through, looking at the students studying the Archives, when he came upon a familier face: Jami. He leaning over a holo-book, and Adonis walked up to him. "Hello Jami. What are you reading about today?"
PostPosted: Wed Jul 05, 2006 2:22 pm

Jami looked up, then bowed slighlty to Adonis. "Hello, Master. I'm studying the history of the Force. Rather fascinating. I came across this theory called Potentium that looks intriguing." Jami turned the book to face Adonis and pushed it forward slightly.

Sephiroth stayed silent for a few moments after hearing Glacian's reply, his eyes fixed on the datapad in front of him, still flipping through the many hours of footage. Eventally, Sephiroth stopped and looked at Glacian, still not uttering a word. Sephiroth was somewhat impressed at Glacian's quick conclusion. However, his tone for such a serious offence seemed way off. Eventually, Sephiroth broke the silence.

That is partly what I wanted to speak to you about. Have a listen to this...

His eyes still locked with Glacian's, Sephiroth fumbled with the datapad he held, increasing the volume and beginning a short audio recording. There was a short moment of silence, before a clear, or as clear as the datapad could manage, replay of Glacian's voice emitted from the speaker.

"I have, like Zeth, embraced the idea of Neutral Force use. And with that, my feelings for a someone that I previously felt to might lead me down the wrong path have come to a bit of...fruitation."

"What I'm trying to say I guess, is that, I'm..in love. It's Jessica, I can't really explain why, It just feels right Kari. That's what I've been going off on my own for, to be with Jessica, and to practice using neutral techniques more than I had before. I'm so sorry that my selfish actions led to me not being able to stop any of this. I know I could not have saved Yoda, but i could have been there to help stop the other dark jedi. I could have saved you from losing Bryce and from feeling the full power of the darkness.

As the recording finished, Sephiroth lowered the datapad, placing it on his knees, his eyes still locked with Glacian, waiting some kind of explanation, but not saying a word. The recording did not leave the young Jedi Guardian in good standing with Sephiroth at all.

((I bolded the important bits ^^))

[[kinda hard to lock eyes with a blind man that keeps his eyes closed most of the time eh?]]

Glacian was not sure what it was Sephiroth wanted to hear, an apology? For what? Love was not evil, it only opened a door that all things one cared for did, the fear of loss, something that had consumed more than a few jedi in the past. So he could see the cause for concern for Sephiroth, but this seems not so much like concern, more like an interigation.

"And loving is wrong? Thinking of the force as one whole, unshaded being is horrible?" Glacian finally said, "I know many have fallen by letting their feelings and pashions dictate their every move and thought, but how many have not? The great Master Skywalker married, and when he was building his order back from nothing after the empire many of the jedi were encouraged to expand their learning of the force beyond normal light jedi boundries."

"Seomthing my dad told me, and that he said came from the Master Yoda of old, 'Let go of all you fear to lose', and I have. I don't want to lose those near to me, but I realize that it can and may happen, that doesn't mean I can't want to or try to stop it, as long as I don't let that want dominat my being, people do die, I realize this Master Sephiroth, but there is a difference in the feeling that comes from natural death, and murder. How can the jedi be told to feel, but not feel? I was taught to control my emotions, to remain in control of my life and my mind, I was not told to annilate them. I was told to make and charish strong bonds, but not to allow attatchments, but how can I have a strong bond with another, even a friend, and not be attatched to them? How long are we to cling to the wrong scriptures and forget the ones, the ones at the core of our order, the ones that matter? In our own fear of falling to fear and anger and hate, we have forgoten the difference between what makes a jedi and what makes a droid. Being afriad of losing the forest tot he tree, we have lost the root to the branch."

Glacian let out a deep sigh, he was sure that would not go over well, but it was what his father and mother had raised him to believe. He had not been angery when he spoke, frustrated maybe, he had still stayed calm and had not raised his voice through his speech.

Talon thought. "Oh!," he said. He rushed to his room and picked up the anicent lightsaber he found to have his master analyze it. Maybe he could rework it. He rushed back to a spot where his master could easilly get back to him.

((Serves me right for not reading applications properly xd ))

Sephirth had expected some long-worded answer from Glacian, following the natural order of going off the point. Sephiroth did not want some long speech about the flaws in the Jedi system, nor a history lesson because, due to his vast amount of training, he too knew it inside out, but also understood the deeper meaning behind it, which Glacian proved he had quite clearly not grasped. Sephiroth wanted an answer. An answer as to why. Eventually, Sephiroth replied, having waited out Glacian's rather irrelevant speech.

Love for a Jedi, as with many other emotions, is a needless risk. You said it yourself, "I know many have fallen by letting their feelings and pashions dictate their every move and thought." These "many" could have been avoided if they had stuck to what we teach, rather than listening to the inexperienced advice of others, such a friends or parents. It is not the number those who have not fallen to the Darkside because of their feelings, it is the number who have. How can I be certain that you will not add to that number if you follow this path of yours? How can I be certain that you are not the next Dark Jedi in here killing Padawans, huh?

Sephiroth fell silent for a moment, taking the datapad off his lap and standing up. Before approaching Glacian, he placed the pad on his seat, then turned towards him.

The same applies for the use of forbidden Force Techniques, Glacian, even in the interests of learning more about the Dark Side. It can sometimes only take a taster for one to fully be engulfed by its lure. Sometimes it may require more, and perhaps it may never happen. But, tell me, why take the risk? All this is basic training, Glacian. I could step out into the hall of the Jedi Temple and pick out anyone to tell me this.

Sephiroth fell silent again, letting Glacian take sometime to think about what he had just be told. Sephiroth circled him while he waited, his hands locked firmly behind his back. He was not planning on entering some ideological battle of words here, he just needed a solution. Finally, Sephiroth stopped infront of Glacian, addressing him again, this voice calm, yet stern.

As a Jedi Guardian, you set an example for the others. If you cannot be trusted to show what the Jedi Temple teach, what the Jedi stand for, then something has to change. So, Jedi Guardian Glacian, where do you stand?

[[inexperienced advice? His parents were both jedi, his father was a master and his mom a guardian when they left the temple.]]

"I always have have stood for and taught what the jedi stand for master, peace, order and justice; stregnth, but for the right reasons. I [EDIT]don't[/EDIT] teach much of what I believe personally because that is what I believe, anyone I teach can decide what their personal take on the jedi code is, I simply teach code to my padawan. Any of my beliefs I keep private, with of course, certain exceptions like a few moments ago. That is where I stand Master, on the road, not in its shadow."
PostPosted: Wed Jul 05, 2006 4:45 pm

((I never said it was Glacian's parents wink ))

Sephiroth once again began to circle Glacian after he had replied. Clearly he was not understanding what Sephiroth was asking him, or simply choosing to tip-toe around answering the question directly. Either way, he was drawing the who thing out.

It is the failure to keep these exceptions private, failure to stick to the teachings, that sets a bad example for the others. The risk is too great to allow. Now, can you stop avoiding answering my question?

Sephiroth came to a halt infront of Glacian, looking directly at him. A decision on the entire mess had to be reached, especially as time wasting at this particular time was not appreciated.

I'll re-phase it for you, shall I? Just so there are no misunderstandings. Are you going to abandon this relationship, as well as the use of forbidden powers, and set the example you are meant to set to the rest of the Temple? Yes or no?

"You're asking me to change who I am Master Sephiroth. For all my misgivings, I am a jedi first, all other things second, but I am also myself first as well, and I do not simply throw away such bonds away lightly, like trash. If that is what you want than I am sorry, but no, I cannot. If that is something you cannot allow, I am willing to accept the concequences, I stand by my choice."

Talon decided to wait by going to the archives. "Hmm.....lightsaber tecniques....," he said looking it up. "I need to find one that suits me.....," he said. He found something. "Aha.....ok maybe I should read this....," he said. "Hmm....Makashi is interesting. Trakata is awesome....nah, too complex.," he says looking it all up. "I suppose I'll just see what master has in store for me.," he said.

If who you are conficts with the Jedi ways, then you cannot be both first, Glacian...

Sephiroth turned away from Glacian, very disappointed in his head strong attitude. It was quite clear that he was infact promoted to early, rendering his training incomplete. Sephiroth only had two options, but given Glacian's personality, it really only left one. Sephiroth moved the datapad from his seat, before parking himself on it. There was silence for a few moments, as Sephiroth concluded his final decision.

If that is the case, Glacian, then you're going to have to leave the Jedi Order, immediately. Leave your lightsabers here. I'd also advise, if you care as much as you claim about those here, that you distance yourself as much as possible from the Republic, from the Jedi.
