Nyx watched as the pokemon flew away. He turned and went back to see if Jade was okay. The boy seemed a little sore but otherwise unharmed. Luckily nothing popped out at all for the two. Nyx continued forward. Even Jade took off at a run. He had spotted the shore line of the beach and the awaiting boat. SHe would smile lightly at them as they reached the beach ...one step away from going back to the academy and she would stand in their way as the foliage seemed to move underneath her sway.

Jade looked with interest at the new pokemon. He had a pokeball left...was it really a good thing to try and catch? It was definitely stronger then the other pokemon the Umbreon had faced thus far. The boy stood back, fingering the empty pokeball nonchalantly. The boy would wait to see how the battle was going before making any decisions. This could be the last pokemon they catch before leaving the island.Nyx looked at the other pokemon and his gaze narrowed. The threat was obvious and he felt a small piece of rage build within him. They were so close to leaving and then something always had to get in the way. Angrily, he charged forward, aiming to slam the cactus into the ground with Tackle! She would raise one of her arms to her lips and she would smile at him. Did he think she would fall like the other ....and with that she would put one needle in her mouth as she would start blowing and a sound like the sweetest of melodies would play.
She was going to drop that Umbreon in mid spring as she uses Grasswhistle as a risky counter-attack.
She hadn't missed that pokeball, and given a choice ...death was much better.
Yes, she could agree to that with no problem, but, his death would be much better ....as she started to work on just that.

Jade's interested expression turned to one of concern. The boy watched as his Umbreon dropped to the ground fast asleep. "Nyx, get up!" he yelled panicking. This wasn't good at all... Nyx dropped like a rock once the melody began to play. He knew it was dangerous but it happened anyway. The Umbreon slept but mentally he was trying to wake up. She would declares lightly as she walks slowly towards her opponent. One step at a time, very lightly ...as she would take a single needle and touch him lightly on the head ...as she would draw it away quickly as she attempts to rip the soul inside of him out.
She was going to enjoy eating him ..absorbing him ..piece by blood piece.
A smirk was on her face as she looks over at his trainer.
"Mar...ctus"

(Actually 12 dmg, check out Sleep in the information section. There is no defense nor accuracy roll used in the calculation. It is simply being hit by the move without any defense whatsoever)

She would watch as her prey would vanish in a flash of red light. Maybe, he had gotten her message afterall, but she wasn't going to let him get away either ...as she would move towards him with one quick sweep of her arms as she makes it a point to aim her attack at his legs.
If she can manage to break one ...he won't be able to escape will he.
She would smile sinisterly to herself as she made the move to bring about his fall.

Arceus was on Jade's side this time. The boy managed to completely evade the attacking pokemon. The boy then ran clipping Nyx's ball to his belt. It was finally time to leave the island! The boy yawned after he was safely on the boat back to the Academy. Finally. It was time to return. But first he had to return to his Professor and report to the person before he could head to his land. He looked at Nyx glad that he had managed to save him. ((Bleh, sorry. IRL issues. Here's where we left off.)) (12-4)+(7- cool = 7. Prosper flinched.
Prosper wasn't even able to respond as the Sandshew's punch struck, and struck hard. He let out an involuntary gasp of pain as it collided with his stomach. The Mankey stumbled backwards, momentarily blinded by his pain. It seemed the Sandshrew had gotten his wish- Prosper was flinching. All he could to was let his momentum carry him back and hope he could evade whatever came.

He had been chasing them through these tunnels, and with that one hit ...he had to admit to satisfaction. He had made that pokemon feel pain and he would know it from the nice sounding crunch as his paw hit that this pokemon wouldn't be getting in his own shoot any time soon.
Lower his claw and straighten his aim a bit, he would lunge forward again. His fist aimed for his opponent's nose ...as the Sandshrew was aiming to try and give it a new look as he snickers lightly.
Yes, this was what a good battle is all about...power and pain as he uses Focus Punch.

Spinning like a tire, the Sandshrew moved to roll literal circles around his opponent. Speed across firm flat grand and shifting sand were two very different things!

The Archen missed his target completely, landing in the sand with a soft "thump". He squawked and righted himself. This sand was squishy and squelching and- and awful. How could any creature stand to live in it? He shook off his feathers as the Sandshrew spun- it had become it's own storm. The girl took a couple steps back, avoiding the spraying sand. Briefly, she toyed with the idea of just taking Urvogel and running, but she rejected it- there was no way she could run on this rough terrain. And maybe (she hoped this might be the case) if they won this fight, she could make it to the boat unhindered.
Urvogel hissed, gathering his surroundings. He needed to get better ground. And despite the sand, he was still the fastest bird around. With an ear-splitting squawked, he manvuered back, trying to get out of striking distance.

Taking a sharp turn the Sandshrew would begin to spiral, spinning in place from side to side before abruptly shooting off in the direction of Urvogel. Though the spray of sand was obscuring it wasn't blinding, nor was it particularly painful. The dust cloud was not his attack...but the pair would soon discover what was!
Bouncing once, the Sandshrew would spring into the air, uncurling and bringing one claw back. A shadowy aura blacker then the night itself would spread onto his claws as he brought that arm down upon Urvogel with the force of his entire weight. With a little extra kick from gravity itself there was a good chance for this to be a truly deadly Nightslash!
