Okay, so...
My team plan so far is Typhlosion being the starter, but he'll not be strong as he was in Gen. II due to the physical/special move change in Gen IV. Still, I concentrate on his stats and moves enough, and he'll be a pretty good and speedy special sweeper, but not as great as others. *cough* Alakazam *cough*
However, if I set him up right, Jirachi can provide Wish Support to Typhlosion if I equip him with Wish, U-Turn, Iron Head OR Ice Punch, and Body Slam OR Thunder Wave OR Thunder.
I'll use Skarmory as a Physical Wall if I set up his moves properly, which would include Spikes. Or maybe Steelix with Stealth Rock.
I'll need a tank. Maybe it's high time I use Vaporeon as a Water Tank or a Baton Passer to aid Typhlosion. Or I could use Blissey as a Special Tank/Cleric/Staller since the one I already have in Platinum has Fire Blast, Refresh, Softboiled, and Toxic.
I'll use that Red Gyarados or another Gyarados as a physical sweeper, but I'll have to axe out Vaporeon because I don't like having two of the same type on my team, unless I get a physical sweeper that's almost or as good or better than Gyarados.
That leaves me with either a mixed sweeper or a Baton Passer if I axe Vaporeon. I'll need to come up with one for that role, preferable a grass-type or a 'mon that can use Grass-type moves.

I'm thinking of having Typhlosion, a normal-type defensive wall, high-attack 'mon, a life-drencher, a 'mon that can use status effecting moves that also cause damage, an HM whore, and a 'mon that has good attack and a lot of HP.
