Damn it, i wish I had thought of that earlier... I wanted to catch Qyp.
Any way, I think I have a solution to the problem of clan members having too much +% bonus than clan less characters. Why not just make clan less characters be able to have at least one or two 30% bonuses on whatever skill they have, and one or two -30% bonus to either skills they want. You will always be born good at something and bad at something else, you don't need a clan to have - charisma or to have superb strength or a flexible body. And if the person doesn't want to deal with the - bonuses they just don't use the bonuses and stick to a well rounded character. The clan's difference is that they will always have the bonuses and restrictions on the same spot, they can't decide were it goes. I think this is fair right?

Simpashia Oh, anyone else exited about Britney's new video? I saw it just now and it gave me my life. I'm not a fan of her, but she is the one I can depend on for a good video. When the song surfaced, I was like "meh". After the video, I started desperately searching for a way to get the song on my profile's playlist. I give credit where its due and Brit gets a round of applause. One thing I was over was all the product placement. Other than that, good video. .02

I guess it's just me, I was also expecting the same thing on Lady gaga's "Born this way" grammys performance

I guess it's just me, I was also expecting the same thing on Lady gaga's "Born this way" grammys performance The fight scene gave me that. I would say the whole paint splatter thing, but Willow beat her to the punch. I am so over Gaga. Her music = good Her wardrobe = gimmicky Performances = Over-the-top for no reason If she REALLY wanted to shock me then she'd step out on the red carpet giving me elegence, grace, and class. The dress would be simple with light accessories, some heels she can walk in (instead of those damn heels that looks like one wrong move and she's off to the hospital), a nice handbag, and have the makeup done right instead of something that looks like my 2-year-old nephew made in daycare. That would make me gasp. But what she is doing is like, "Oh.. okay... yeah... whatever... NEXT!!" .02

Openly talking about gimping clans again are we?
first off: you dont have to join a clan
second: if i made a clan that fits my playstyle its bonuses will be for my playstyles stats and others who are likeminded as me. If they "overpower" a "normal" shinobi then so be it.
if you CHOOSE a non-clan shinobi you obviously dont want the style of play clans offer
three: non-clan shinobi can train really hard to gain the same stats as clanned shinobi. just because you are clanned doesnt mean there cant be a super average than normal human out there that can oneshot you.
four: I dont know about the rest of you but I made my clans with weaknesses and strengths for a reason
Anzan: a great Wisdom defeceit (WIS controls MHP,Will saves,etc.) a genjutsu user can really just wreck them if they wanted....
Jishuteki: constitution and strength...(CON HP,STR physDMGoutput) simply get through their puppets...and then poke them, done, you wont have to worry much about them hitting really hard.
Kenkomishi: use a loud sounding noise in the background and their at your feet..shi..besides their awareness bieng higher than normal they arent that much different from a non-clan....
Estoqueur: chakra mod deffeceit (CHK controls their ability to enhance/enfeeble others, and chakra reserves) you just break the jutsu or wait for them to pass out from enfeebling you...or you convince them to help you...then hit them over the head.
all of my clans are nice and even and not that overpowered but i do notice little monsters running around...that is not the CLAN SYSTEMS fault but more APPROVALS fault. you want to gimp ENTIRE IN GAME CLANS that DONT NEED IT just because someone let stuff go too fast through approvals and you feel sorry for non-clan characters? really?
(note: you guys are talking about weapons...but its still releveant....)
(PS: but as far as weapons go, clan oriented god legacy weapons are FOR THE CLAN period. they benefeit the playstyle of the clan and enhance its enhancements. the non-clan god legacy weapons are always open...but they require tedious training and lots of work. If you want a badass weapon that evens the playing field, get a god-legacy weapon and stop bitching.)

Please stop cherry-picking what was mentioned. Either that or you failed to read everything I typed. Quote: My biggest issue are the ones that are in a clan and then go for a bonus to their niche with a bomb weapon. I get that you want your character to max out their strength, but there should be some compromise. If you want to join a clan fine. Your choice. I will say this though (and this is skewed, considering I only go to Kiri). When Batsu was in the academy, there were 5 students. I think there were only 2 "normal" (I hate that word, but whatever) students. It looked like more of a gang war as opposed to a village. Yes, in the actual series, there were clans. However it wasn't "here a clan, there a clan, everywhere a clan clan. E-I-E-I-O..." Are they like that in every village? I dunno, but in Kiri it was. As pre-stated, skewed view. Is there anyway I could get a tally of how many people are in a clan? I would check myself, but that's sorta like spying. Not cool.
Two, thanks Qyp for talking about clan weapons. I didn't know about that. +1 Thirdly, I already brushed upon the fact that a weapon can get nixed if it is considered to be too strong.

Two, thanks Qyp for talking about clan weapons. I didn't know about that. +1 Thirdly, I already brushed upon the fact that a weapon can get nixed if it is considered to be too strong. thats why i corrected myself at the bottom...but yea... in the show the focus was more towards clans also (and they where vastly important to the story of the show aswell as an individual characters part in the story) however, the "normal" characters are mixed in with the clanned shinobi and turn out to be rather strong for an average person. They train,they overcome, they thrive. same as everyone else. they eventually get put into teams like everyone else and they find a niche. and 2/5 of an academy class bieng normal has nothing to do with anything....they will train,they will rank up,they will go on missions and if they do run across a stronger character than themselves they will fight and either become stronger or die....same as clan characters will eventually run into an unwinable battle and will eventually meet their end. im pretty sure your little example has NO POINT but you know...some of us have to feel important and bring up idiotic problems that dont exist and change things that dont need to be changed so everything is "fair" but everything in life is not "fair" and in nature there are strong,fierce predators that are built to kill the weak feeble prey and if you mess with that you will cause some disasterous s**t that will mess everything up and it wont be fixed with a simple reset. Also: just as a weapon can be disapproved for bieng "too strong" so can a clan as it makes its way through approvals, just like everything else that has to be approved before it can be used.

Your shitting me right? The only non-clan characters I can think of from the series that was in konoha are Sakura, ten ten and Rock lee.
Ino-shika-cho = clans Though Ino's is retarded ....
Kiba = clan
Hyuga and Uchiha = clan
Aburame = Clan
Most of the students were in clans.
Thats 8/11 in a clan.
Even Naruto is in a clan .... ish.

@ Qyp: Do people even go there? Oh well, they miss out, they miss out.
@ el: I see your argument, though I have to say that the way you delivered them was a bit harsh.
@ Sage: Hey, I like Ino and think Inoichi is awesome... but I digress. But I guess I wasn't really thinking since... well... I just wasn't thinking. ... and since when is Naruto considered to be in a clan?
