Our band has around 150-ish members, but they split us into two bands when marching season is over.
Oh, I wanted to ask: Does anyone have any ideas for band T-shirts? Or maybe just for the flute section? Here are some ideas from the past:
Band: It's what the cool kids do
What are the football players doing on our field?
Foxy
Ladies
United
Through
Eternal
Sisterhood
Flutes kick brass
Floot Loops
This isn't hopscotch! (inside joke for our band)
I need a new idea for a shirt.

I"M PLAY FLUTE TOO!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm in Marching band and Consert band, but oure marching season ended in mid october, now It's me and 11 other flutes. (I think, I'm not very good at keeping track)
I've been playing My Gemeinhardt open holed flute (I wouldn't play anything else ^^) since 6th grade and I'm in 9th now..................I love playing the flute and I've wanted to ever scince I was little!!!!! heart heart heart heart heart heart heart heart

Chuukii What did everyone do for field marching? Our band did "In the Shadow of Dragons" by Key Poulan. It was tons of fun. We even made a dragon that came out of this giant cave on the corner of the field and it blew smoke via a fire extinguisher, as ironic as that sounds. We did "The inner mechanics of Da Vince" We just pretty much did our marching routines....There is one part that was awesome though. It was embarassing but when the crowd loves it.... ...you gotta have it. lol

TwilightDemon Miamiakima Chuukii Miamiakima yay!!! I`ve only been playing it for a few months...next year I`m going to take Spanish wiht my friend Ali instead of flute, but I`ll pick flute up again the year after maybe.^^ Traitor!!! ... That's the reaction you'd get if you came from our band. You'd probably get dumped in trash cans, too. Our band is seriously a cult. haha...cult!!! yeah, I would figure that! A cult....... thats creepy... *shudders* I know right??? GAHHH!!! I gotta stop saying that, my friend Lauren got that stuck in my head, the "I know right?" thing... evil

Unfortunately, I'm 1 of 10 flutes...2 are guys. lol
Um, yeah our marching season ended mid october too and now we're in solo and ensemble season unfortunately. *sigh*
Sadly, I've only been playing for 2 1/2 years and I'm a senior. lol

Edwards_little_apple: Both of those are hilarious, and so very true! mrgreen I don't know if I can contribute though. Maybe you could try one of those "You Know You've Been in Band/A Flute Too Long When..." jokes. (?)

Camilla911 i HATE the stereotype for flutes! i mean seriously....suck up? blonde ditz? snobby? or at least those are the stereotypes at my school...i hate stereotypes b/c they're always wrong. but u guys seem cool! ninja i agree, just b/c i play flute and im a guy dosnt mean im gay...but in our band there are some people that make som sterotypes real...

HI my flute ppl! (not really mine...) ANYWHO! I have a question, is it just me or do my fellow freshmen marching band ppl get treated ok compared to them telling u that ur going to get treated like crap?

fullyalive0 HI my flute ppl! (not really mine...) ANYWHO! I have a question, is it just me or do my fellow freshmen marching band ppl get treated ok compared to them telling u that ur going to get treated like crap? I think it just depends on the attitude of the upperclassmen (esp. the seniors)... I got pretty much ignored freshman year, but the freshmen in this year at my school are accepted.
