in my findings, the common citizen's response to digimon is
A) Grow up
B) Pokemon is way better

I really don't see how the whole argument against those two series. Was it only because they ended with "-mon"? rolleyes I like both of the shows, but I like how much detail and creativity each Digimon's design has.

Digimon is geared more to the older audience and is an actual anime, then Pokemon is more for the younger crowd and is more cartoony.

i watch and throughly enjoy both shows. i think a large portion of the debat arises when it comes to, which was out first. if one stole the idea from the other, and other logistical concerns. though i must admit, for the most part those people who watched digimon as kids enjoy it better now more so than pokemon. and even die hard pokemon fans can be converted to a general acceptance of both series once they get over initial bias opinions and open their mind to watching both shows. just personal experience though.

but basically if it is down to the shows i like digimon better but if it is the games, pokemon games win hands down

By the way in my opinion I kinda liked Pokemon better, but it doesn't mean I don't have a heart for Digimon. Though I still have yet to see ALL the Digimon as far as I know. They're just, like, a lot > .< I don't even know there's a Rabbitmon until I saw one in the official sprite forum.

ichigo ivan ow pokemon and digimon is awesome but basically if it is down to the shows i like digimon better but if it is the games, pokemon games win hands down I agree with this! 3nodding Mostly because I've watched both the shows and played at least one game from each. Digimon is just simply a better show, hooking you in quickly and placing in enough action to keep you enthralled. However, the games are fun but just lack the quality that the Pokemon games have. Though I would really like to see the Digimon TCG and play that too just to see how it compares to the Pokemon one.

no one ever liked the pokemon shows after the first 2 seasons while digimon was liked for (me atleast) up to the 5th.
