High school matters for me. If I don't get the ******** grades I need because of this ******** retarded math situation I am going to be ******** a** pissed off. I can't get into the college of my choice with these ******** up grades because of this crap.

Note I ranted about this in another forum anyways XD
well really that's about all it matters for, and even then half the time you're just as well off going into a community college for the GE requirements and transferring in as a Junior.
Ahh pretty true.. I really wanted to get into CalTech or some other school good in engineering (like electrical engineering).. Oh well.. if it all comes down to it I could go to Cal Poly SLO...

Ahh Engineering. You really do need to get good grades to get into most decent Engineering schools in Cali.

The only time your marks actually matter is in grade 12.
Actually, it depends. A lot of colleges/unis check overall GPA, not just what you've done Senior year, plus the fact that you're applying partway through senior year, so the initial screening doesn't even take that into account.

The colleges I've talked to, at least their reps, have said that the sophomore and junior are looked at as well as the first semester of senior year. And I don't think senior year doesn't count much either.

Yeah.. engineering.. I'm hoping they might let me in cause I'm a girl? XD So they should want some diversity in their engineering major.

rofl If you can't get into any of the upper tier schools, you can always come over here to SJSU, since SJSU has one of the better Engineering programs below the really high tier schools. Cute asian girls always welcome. >_> <_<

Well where I live the senior year is really all that matters. At least from what I've heard from everybody in University.
Apparantly grade 11 matters for early entry and scholarships though.

rofl I'll take that into account. XD One of my fallback schools is going to be Cal Poly SLO. XD If anything.. just to annoy my friend in.. 2 years.

@Brolly: When do you start applying for College? Most times I think I need to start applying during sometime around November.

@Kenny: I'm not sure. I think in order to get early registration you have to apply by march or something.
Sadly I'm not even going to be graduating high school this year. I screwed up my grade 10 year, and one or two classes of my grade 11. So I won't have enough credits to graduate.
I think the worst part about it, is at first I figured there was nothing wrong, but as soon as I got back to school this year, on the very fist day I said "I really don't want to ******** be here right now!" And I still feel the same way. Hell, I'm supposed to be there this year.
It's not like I can blame it on anyone but myself. But damn does it suck.
One other thing that makes it worse, is I've had one of my teachers say to me "The majority of the things we teach you in high school you're never going to use again. One of the only things we actually teach you, is simply how to learn." If being there longer after hearing that doesn't piss you off, I don't know what will. x___X
