Miyuki turned her head and looked at her ada with a great deal of interest. Anything if it meant she could maybe get more of those rings on the poles.
"Okay!" she chirped eager to hear what her ada had to say.

Earendil picked up one of the rings and knelt behind Miyuki. He put the ring in her hand and held it with her.
"Like this," he murmured, curling her arm towards her body as if it were a frisbee. "And then you fling your arm out ..." He showed her how. "And throw it like this towards the posts. It might work a little better that way."
Might, if she could get the hang of it.

She tilted her head thoughtfully at that, she wasn't so sure. Miyuki had never thrown anything like that, but on the other hand it kind of made sense she supposed.
Looking at the ring for a moment and looking back at the post, she did as her ada had suggested, flinging the ring. It over shot the post, and while this was not what she had in mind, she also realized that it didn't take much when throwing that way.
Still she tried again and noted it was less likely to bounce off when she managed to get the ring distance right. Though it took her another try to get the distant right.
So in the end she still had three on the posts and two on the ground.

"Ah, you were doing better at the end," Remiel said apologetically, "once you were getting used to throwing that way. There is a bit of a line now, so I must let the next person go, but perhaps you could come back later and win something, yes?"
He smiled warmly at Miyuki. "I hope you have a very good day!" he said brightly.

She looked behind her and sure enough there were people lining up to take a turn. Turning back to Remiel she nodded.
"See you later!" she told him.
Miyuki hoped she would get to try again later on.

Earendil took Miyuki's hand and put his other arm around Lin's shoulders. "Well?" he asked with a smile, looking from one to the other. "What shall we do next?"
There were other games, there was the food, the music, the dancing, stalls where people were selling their goods at lower prices ...

Lin looked around thoughtfully, there was just so much going on at the moment.
"Why not take a look at the stalls?" she suggested.
Miyuki looked up at her ada to see what he would say, "Do you think there would be different things at the stalls than what we usually find?"

Earendil shrugged. "I don't know," he replied honestly. "They might have different things, but since Aerin just told us yesterday that there was going to be a festival, I don't know how much time they would have had to prepare anything special. They might just be selling their wares at different prices, perhaps. Cheaper than usual, as a celebratory treat."
He smiled. "But I think it would be worth checking out."

The little fox girl grinned widely, it didn't matter if they weren't going to get anything it was just to see if there was something special there.
"Yea! They might have something neat!"
It didn't matter how many times Miyuki had seen a shop there was always something neat to her.
"Let's go then," Lin chuckled, "After all, one never knows..."
The whole thing had been put together very well despite the fact it had been last minute.

"Indeed," Earendil smiled. "Who knows what they might have been up to once their shops had been moved?"
Personally, he was curious at how quickly books had replaced the scrolls the people had used until very recently. And yet, for how new they were, they seemed to be of quite a good quality, just like everything else the Sky Elves made.

"Quite a lot possibly," Lin murmured seeing the stalls ladled with goods.
She wasn't quite sure but she didn't recall seeing some of the things in the stalls, in the shops before.

Earendil looked at the vendors curiously. "I can't help but wonder if they don't feel like they're missing out on the rest of the festival when they're stuck in their stalls all day," he mused. "Wouldn't you want to get out and have fun instead of selling things all day?"
He spotted the boy, Artemis, in a booth filled with his leather works - with several items he hadn't seen before - just as the boy spotted him and waved cheerfully. He waved back.

"It's Artemis!" Miyuki tugged her ada's hand, "Can we go talk to Artemis?"
He wasn't just a shopkeeper after all (none of them were) they were really neat people who could make all sorts of neat things.
Lin chuckled at Miyuki, "Maybe in their own way there is something about being on the selling end in a festival that is interesting for them? That is a good question though."

Earendil laughed and squeezed Miyuki's hand. "Of course we can," he grinned. He let go of her hand. "Go ahead, we'll catch up with you soon enough."
She seemed like she had energy to get rid of, and he was more than happy to let her go on her own. He wasn't worried about her - this was a good place, full of good people, what could there possibly be to fear?
"It's possible," he said, turning to Lin. "It's another perspective on the people, after all."

The little fox girl smiled widely as she hurried off towards Artemis' stall. She liked talking with him sometimes and he always had a lot of nice things to touch.
Lin nodded at this, "This is true..."
As she watched Miyuki leave she couldn't help but comment.
"She's very excited now."
As if she wasn't already before.
