System C O R R U P T If there was no religion, then what would stop people from raping and killing everyone else? At least religion was around long enough to instill some kind of moral compass into (almost) everyone. Guilt, morals, y'know. Fear of God doesn't really do s**t in our society. If only the majority of the world was Buddhist. That would kick a**.

They are pretty much exactly equal. I'm this, you're that. Lets butt heads about it. But... they're really not equal in that things like evolution and the big bang have evidence against religion, while religion can't produce any evidence and is entirely based on faith.

TtheHero Lady Psycho Sexy otawara -Dessynea- otawara Religion is stupid; and I mean no offense to anyone. How are you gonna say that and then say no offense, like really? What do you want me to say?  The search for meaning is far from stupid. Certain branches of interpretation and belief might be far-fetched and ridiculous, but there's nothing stupid about being secure in your beliefs. Hardcore bible-thumpers might be prudes, but the majority I've met seem incredibly, genuinely happy with themselves, and they don't seem to let any challenge let them down.
I kinda envy them. Right or wrong their song is strong.
You are right. The people I see that stand outside with their pamphlets everyday, asking people if they wish to read what they have; it may strike me as annoying sometimes, but at least they're dedicated. I actually took some JWs in for a bible study a few years back. At first I was just trollin' them but then the old lady told me this story about how her husband recently passed away, and the whole time she was smiling. I asked her why and she said 'Because we're going to be together, forever, very soon.' I couldn't attach myself to their beliefs, but I definitely gained a lot of respect for them.

We are supposed to have natural moral compasses that make us good without a bogeyman, but we are incapable of that.

Oh well, we probably won't ever be rid of religion ever. It will just keep reinventing itself in newer and newer ways. Hopefully these new religions will have pure intentions...

It may cause a lot of unnecessary violence, but it can do some good, too.

Back in the day was a**-backwards as ******** with all the holy wars and s**t. If I were God I would have been like "What the ******** guys" We were talking about just that in religion today. Islam extremists are pretty much doing the same thing that Christians did during the Spanish Inquisition, just with technology.

Of course. Scientology is the best religion ever. It's not like they're some sort of pyramid scheme trying to get money off of the ignorance of the public.

Who cares if there is proof? Is them not knowing what we have proof of hurting you? You know, you have a handicap in the real world, they deceive themselves and you only gain from it. Why can't you let them be blissful in ignorance? Why aren't they allowed to be happy? While they will live a quiet life of a regular church going jerkoff you can get a job as a biologist studying evolution, a job they can't get. Only gain. Diversity is important. People thinking in different ways, learning how to solve problems differently. The problem? They classify themselves and let people know they think something different people broadcast it. LOOK AT ME I AM DIFFERENT THAN YOU LETS ARGUE AND GO ALL JIHAD! I have no problems with athiests or the religious or people who believe that don't hurt each other. I have a problem with the ones who go looking to start trouble. People who make youtube videos saying "God doesn't exist" or "God does exist" or "I hate muslims" or "Death to decadent american pigs" It is all the same thing.
