... a "soul"? is the lack of a "soul" what makes you seem different from everyone else?

" One of these days I'm going to get you for bowing to everyone and every thing." Crystal said to Gallyon with a smirk. She meant it too. Pulling out a little strip of jerky from her pocket, Crystal sat it down for Akai before she started petting him behind the ears.
Yes it is. Eveything has one and to live without it makes you empty inside.

*the wolf, recognizing the scent of jerky, quickly picked up the jerky in his teeth and layed down at Crystal's feet, eating the jerky, his tail wagging as she petted him*

People are not always nice. Unlike animals some times they hurt others with out a reason. She replied to the wolf as she patted his head then ran her hand down his back. This isn't the safest of places at times.

I don't know why. That is an answer you will have to find on your own. SOme do it for power and others for money. I knew one that did it casue he couldn't get a woman to love him. Crystal closed her eyes as her mind drifted to Breg with the last part. So many times he tried to make 9 love him and faild.

Crystal let out a soft moan as she rolled over onto her side. She was asleep with her back to Akai. She muttered something under her breath before rolling onto her back once again. Slowly she became resless as she slept.

As Akai got closer Cyrstal woke with a jerk. She pulled her dagger and held pointed at the red wolf. Her breath was short and ragged as she sat there for a minute not really moving.
