Jami smiled lightly and nodded. "Very good. I noticed that you're better at deflecting bolts back than just deflecting them. You might want to work on a more aggressive style than Soresu, Alyssa. You seem more comfortable using sheer power." He shrugged, then cocked his head at her. "Why is your lightsaber white?"

"I haven't had a chance to change the color yet...not sure what I'd change it to, though. No one else in the Temple has a white saber right now, so...maybe I'll keep it that way...and as for the lightsaber styles...I was looking at Juyo, but all notes said that it could lead to the Dark Side, so I'm not so sure about it..."

"Form seven... I've read about it. It's actually two different forms, Juyo and Vapaad. I read that Vapaad is the form that relies more heaviliy on the Dark Side. Juyo might be safer, though I'm not sure. Also, you could try Form V. Djem So and Shien are two distinct styles that are rather aggressive, without reliance on the dark side. Anakin Skywalker used it, as well as his son." He leaned on a wall, appraising her. "What color would you want if you could get it?"

Eldin finished and looked up, seeing her eyes. "What?" He blushed.

Fina blinked a few times, then looked down at her food. "N-nothing..." She said, then got back to her food, quickly finishing it. She moved her hand, getting his tray and plate, stacking them and picking them up. Before moving to set the things back in their place, she turned to look at him again. "Wanna go brush up on our lightsaber technique's Eldin?"

He nodded. Aw, sweet! "Sure. I think I've about mastered Djem So now."

"I'm really not sure...I've always thought that goldish yellow was pretty cool--I kinda want to be a Sentinel, but they tend to work alone...and after I met you...I don't want to do that anymore."

Jami blushed lightly and rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly. "I don't want that either. I... really don't know much about you as a person, though." He cast his eyes up, the blush deepening. "What did you do before you came here to the Temple?"

Fina nodded, walking the trays back to their spot. Afterward, she turned and started toward Eldin, and then to the training rooms...

"Well, I was born on Bakura...technically the edge of the known galaxy. I have an older and a younger brother... My mom was murdered in front of the family when I was six by the Imperial Faction, and our whole family vowed revenge ever since...

"My dad was an engineer and a mechanic--very good at repairing anything that came his way, and he taught all three of his kids to be good at the same,"
she said, getting a repair kit out of one of the droid's chassies and began to fix the minor damages. "Lewis--my older brother--was always better at modifying speeders. Alex was better at fixing speeders...and I was the best at fixing droids." She looked up and the only damage on the droids was to the armor, which would need a patch job later...

"My older brother and I were kidnapped when I was 17...we still aren't sure who did it. The ship crashed down on Tattooine, and we were the only people found on it at all...I ended up working for a repair shop in Mos Eisley, and he went to Anchorhead.

"I ended up fixing Lewis's speeder by accident and bringing it to him--had no idea where he went before, but I found him through that. He was afraid that the Empire would find us, so he loaned me his ship and I made it to Coruscant...and then I made it here...and that's about it... What about you? I don't know much about you, either..."

"I was born on Ansion to an Echani warrior and a pilot. That's where I get this silver." He ran his fingers over the streak that ran over his right temple and shrugged. "My father wanted me to become a warrior like he, so when I was five, he made me stay weeks on the plains training with a vibroblade. I became a decent warrior, but swordplay wasn't what I was naturally good at.

"My grandfather was a Jedi, once the Chronicler of the Temple, and thus I learned a lot of Jedi lore. Anyways, I discovered this boy on the plains when I was nine. His name was Rayce Alesan, and he was an escapee from Kessel. I brought him to my parents, who adopted him. He was a great mechanic then, and is almost legendary now. He lost his sight at fourteen while repairing some speeders, but he has occular implants.

"My mother discovered that I was a great pilot at fourteen, which is about the only thing other than history and language that I'm naturally good at. They bought me an old LAAT gunship, and I ran a transport business that got me by. That's how I ended up here in the Temple in the first place was I was looking to see if anyone needed passage anywhere. I'm glad I came." He smiled and touched her cheek gently.

"Kinda the last place you'd expect to find love, huh?"
PostPosted: Fri Jun 30, 2006 1:51 pm

"Yes. Jedi are supposed to be distracted by love. Still, I never did do things the same as everyone else." Jami's eyes twinkled, and a slight smile crossed his lips. "Thank you, Alyssa."

"No, thank you..." She looked at his face...He's so cute when he does that... She leaned forward and kissed him, tired of holding back.

He gently kissed her back, his hands on her shoulders as he shivered lightly. After a long, passionate moment, he broke the kiss and smiled shyly. "We need to do that in a less public place. I don't care, but the others might...."
