Man, solo and ensembles!!! Ugh!!
I already have my solo and I'm doing a flute trio with a few other friends. I just want to practice with an accompanist. Why do we need one anyways? emo

Hey ppl! I'm a flutist, too! Sophomore, but second chair out of about 17 flutes. Sometimes, I hate being a flute because of the fights we get into around solo/ensemble time... it's really scary sometimes! I also get really self conscious because I'm the only bigger person in my section and everyone else is incredibly skinny and pretty. Oh, well. I still love playing flute.

What did everyone do for field marching? Our band did "In the Shadow of Dragons" by Key Poulan. It was tons of fun. We even made a dragon that came out of this giant cave on the corner of the field and it blew smoke via a fire extinguisher, as ironic as that sounds.
