Ai crossed her arms and looked a little snottily to the open world, "Not if I can help it we wont have any causalities." But in her head she knew that in fighting that there was little chance of saving everyone. But she was stubborn and didn't like death. It was like ending a song that wanted to keep singing.

"Believe what you will," Kain replied, simply. Death and decay had been large parts of his world since... Well, since the day he decided not to sacrifice himself.

Ai gracefully turned and flopped down on to the railing. "Well, I'm not going to let anyone that is my friend just there to die." She was getting slightly ticked off at this guys attitude. But from the demons and vampires she knew from her home land it was the norm for them to be kind of sadistic. She watched a people mill about then she asked a little nicely, "How many people are for this cause?"

"Hard to say," Kain answered, after a moment. "There are some that come and go, some that stay together most of the time. Then there's these ship owners, who just seemed to show up out of nowhere, and are no doubt simply going to drop us off and leave."

Ai crossed her legs. It seemed to her that they were a lively bunch which made her happy. She would have to get to know most of them soon enough but right now Kain was the person giving her the information she wanted. Even if the manned he did tell her was quite in frank.

Kain looked back off into the distance. Three days... It wouldn't be a good idea to snack on crew members of this vessel. Although he was sure there were those in his group that could pilot the ship, it would put him at odds with the majority of the others... He'd simply have to go without, for a while. ...Now he really regretted not grabbing a rioter for a snack...

Not looking at the vampire she said, "What about this first time that Jack was talking about? What happened then?" Being a curious soul she always wanted to know exactly what she was getting in for.

"What a curious girl..." Kain mentally commented. "I don't know many of the details, as I wasn't there myself, but it sounds as if there was only one possessed by the sword, and he was left alone long enough to gather great power. He called himself the Warlord, and quickly took over control of the planet and both its moons. Then, he set his sights on all the other worlds in existence, and that's when the gods and goddesses finally stepped in. They brought in people from different worlds to fight this Warlord, and, obviously, he was eventually defeated."

Interested for the first time Ai turned and straddled the railing. "So, then once this guy was defeated everyone was zipped back home? Thats why all these little sword wielders showed up?" she asked as she leaned forward to her elbows.

"I don't know. That's something you'd have to ask one of those who were here before," Kain answered, with a shrug.

Ai frowned a little. She would have to ask Jack later, but right now he seemed busy with the girl he was with. It made her smile a little they seemed very well match for her distance. She didn't know why the girl looked so scared she would have to ask latter. Laying her head in her hands she thought about how much she wished she was on earth and not here. Though she was getting used to the idea of being there, it wasn't Earth or home. The thoughts were making her angry and she wanted to throw another tantrum but knew better not too. Looking up to Kain again she wondered about his back story but thought it best not to ask. "Is there anything to eat on this boat?" she pondered aloud guessing already that a vampire wouldn't give a rats a** about real food.

"Probably a kitchen below deck," Kain guessed, turning his back to the railing and leaning against it. Those who piloted these ships were human, so it stood to reason that they'd need to actually eat while traveling.

Sitting up and bonding off the railing she looked back to him. With a smile she twisted around, "I know you probably don't eat like I but your more than welcome to join me in my search." She didn't really feel like venturing off by herself at the moment.

Kain stared at the girl for a moment, trying to decide if she was serious or not. Well, he honestly had nothing else, let alone better, to do, and maybe there'd be an animal or two being kept down there he could snack on. "Fine," he replied, as if he were doing her a favor, and followed after her.

"Great!" She grabbed his arm and pulled him after her. Under the deck was darker and though she didn't mind the dark, she didn't like it either. Looking around she bit her lip, "So are you mainly in this so you can get home faster?" she asked walking around looking for food.
