We have no school on monday, but not on friday. You are LUCKY. Seriously if there's even a CHANCE of snow where I live, there's automatically talk about no school though it rarely happens. I've never actually experienced real snow where I live unless you count the few flakes that melted on the ground instantly 2 months ago.

...Jus this weekend, it snowed over 50 cm of snow. It was beautiful, it looked like a winter paradise, with the trees being covered in 2 - 4 inches of pure white snow, and when it snowed there was no wind and so it was so magnificently beautiful.
And today I was early finished at school and walked home from the busshold, with a pair of way too baggy pants, and untied shoelaces - my dog had chewed on them so they're too short to tie properly, and I could see the puffs of air in front of me due to the cold, and my hands were freezing because I forgot my gloves when going to school this morning. The sun was up, and the snow sparkled in the yellow sunlight, and I felt the headache coming up that always seem to bother me when the sun comes back after months of absence, and so I squinted my eyes and looked stright down, trying to avoid looking at the not-so-sharp light as much as possible. When I finally got inside, my dog jumped on me and started licking my hands in greeting, bouncing up at me as I took off my jacket and shoes, and I laughed and scratched him behind his ears which he enjoys oh so much, and I noticed that I was actually hungry, so I made myself a cup of hot cappuccino and two toasts and sat down and relaxed, with a wonderful realization dawning upon me.
It was finally weekend.
---
Sometimes, life is just magnificent. And it is those small moments that makes it so.

AsianSpazz: No, I don't read or write fanfiction, though I do like to write.
Kitsune: Wow, that shounds beautiful. We just got about maybe 6 inches of snow a couple days ago, and everything here looks gorgeous. Though if you ask me, I just want warmer weather. I'm tired of freezing my a** off when I'm going down to my bus stop.
The sophomores today had Reality Store at my school, and so I got out of class all day (it was only a half day). And basically you wrote down what job you wanted to have when you are 25, and if you think you will be married and/or have kids. I said I want to be a meteorologist, unmarried with no kids. And they give you fake money for how much you make in a month, so I had a little over $2,000. So you had to spend it on things like rent, insurance, car payment, clothes and other personal items, leisure, groceries, and other things like that. And you had to try not to go broke. So after paying for everything, I had $905 left that I put into savings. It was pretty interesting.

Hello to everyone here, I am Oshenukhar (ocean-oo-car), My real name is Brian. I am an avid fan of the Harry Potters series and am currently reading a really good Mauraders Era fanfiction. To answer the questions: my greatest strengths are the ability to organize and reconize others strenghth. What make me happy is the ability to lead an organization into prosperity and fighting for rights that are being denied but what make me happy is subjective becuase happyness is in the eye of the beholder.
I am looking forward to getting to know my fellow Ravenclaws and working with you all to win the house cup and become more than the home to Cedric Diggory, Cho Chang or Luna Lovegood, we have more than them and were more than that one house where harry found the diadem.

That does sound interesting. Could you possibly revise something for me than Jedi? I don't have a beta yet but I need a few outside opinions on for and grammatical help.
Oshenukhar: Diggory was a puff....

Oshenukhar: Welcome to Ravenclaw!
Did anyone hear about the Georgian luger, Nodar Kumaritashvili, that died Friday morning on a practice run?

I like speed skating and figure skating.
Yay, I have school tomorrow and I'm not excited about it...first class is Spanish and I am NOT enjoying that class.
Are the other Harry Potter related books (like Beedle the Bard, Quidditch through the Ages etc.) any good?
Any reading suggestions?

Sorry, I haven't been here in a while.
It seems like every time I look out the window its snowing more. I am getting sick of seeing the white stuff fall. Of course our weather is unpredictable on its own and this is the worst winter we've in a long time. Of course I've been able to enjoy a nice amount of snow days so its sort of okay.
My favorite olympic sport is a tie between figure skating and the mogul skiing. I love the beauty of figure skating but I get a real thrill from watching the moguls. I was so happy Canada won their first gold on home soil and it was in one of my favorite sports to boot. Of course I should also point out that I am not Canadian but I'm was still happy and jumping around and celebrating like I was.
@vballer: I loved Quidditch Through the Ages and Magical Beasts and Where to find them. I would recommend reading them both. Though I have yet to read Tales of Beedle the Bard.
