The other Archen would continue stalking forward, even as Urvogel began talking. No food? She just had to get closer and take a bite! Hopefully this one wouldn't try to run away like the screaming blue cookie!
Flapping her wings briefly the Archen would dash, lunging forward with her beak held open wide. It was time to take a bite out of crime!...Crime in the form of a giant talking Drumstick! But where was the side order of Tepig Bits? She'd complain to the manager after. Now it was time to dine!

(16 - 12) + (12 - cool = 8 x 2 = 16
Archen HP: 1
In that single hit Urvogel would practically floor the other Archen, sending her head over tail feather down the path, landing in a heap. Shaking her head as she scrambled to her feet the Archen would squawk loudly ">NO! BAD CHICKEN! CHICKEN NO FIGHT BACK!<" It was clear from those words, as well as the saliva pouring from her beak that the Archen hadn't clued in to reality yet.
Instead she simply chose to try again, racing down the path toward Urvogel with her beak held wide open for another Bite!

[CRITICAL! +1 to Urvogel's Defense Rolls!]
Urvogel proved to be fast, quite fast indeed, though not quite as fast as he needed! The prehistoric Pokemon had saved himself from any real damage; but unfortunately the other Archen had simply gotten too close. Beak snapping down, she would end up ripping several of Urvogel's wing feathers out; an action immediately followed by her spitting them onto the ground.
Stamping her feet the Archen would squawk ">CHICKEN NO PLUCKED! WHY CHICKEN NO PLUCKED!?<"

As fate would decide, that Steel Wing was the last thing the Archen would ever see. The sickening crunch of bone would follow the impact, followed in short order as a far more moist collision came as that wing kept going. When Urvogel came to a halt it would be to find he had not only damaged the beak which had plucked him, but crushed it, along with the skull it was attacked to. The Archen he had been facing would hit the ground, stone cold dead. In the last two battles Vanni had managed to end just as many lives.

Urvogel keened a triumphant cry, flapping his wings proudly. Unlike some people, the Archen had no compuntion about killing enemies. It was simply something that was done. Besides, this one was clearly mad- be it with hunger or something deeper. She would have done something stupid and gotten killed anyway. At least this death was quick.
Vanni, meanwhile, had a less optimistic viewpoint. She stared at the mangled bird, a lump in her throat. Again. It had happened again, and she hadn't even realized it. The voice had gone curiously silent- perhaps it was too horrified to give an order, let alone speak. It was Vanni's job, as usual, to act. She stepped up to the fallen Archen and carefully, trying to avoid destroying the body further, moved it from the path to the side, beneath a tree. Moving delibrately, Vanni pulled a couple ferny fronds up, and lay them over the Archen's body. It wasn't quite a memorial, but it would have to do.
All through this, Urvogel watched with a curious stare. Was she saving the food for later? But his wondering would be interrupted as the girl walked bak over and yanked him off the ground into her arms. Her wide green eyes met his, and Urvogel shuddered. There was something wrong in those eyes. Somehow, they were madder than the Archen he'd just felled.
"If you please, refrain from going for the kill if absolutely necessary," Vanni said softly. It might have sounded like a request, but with such an intense stare, it was clearly an order.
Urvogel gulped, and nodded.
And just as suddenly, the girl was all smiles. "Thank you!" she said, allowing the Archen to clamber up to her shoulders and back. Trying to put the incident out of her mind (at least until she was off the island, and then she'd have to speak with Culann as well), she kept walking. They were getting close.

The Poochyena was shock as he hit and he felt nothing but solid muscle underneath him ...as the skin itself repel him as his claws would skid against the ground as he slide to a stop. His ears were pulled down and his teeth would raise slightly ...what he wouldn't have given to become a Mightyena right then .....but he wouldn't surrender ....as he came forward again.
A wispy of movement, and he would vanished out from in front of the pokemon's face. His movements becoming swift again as the Poochyena to his side would move out of the way ....as he launches himself at a tree to try and gain more speed for his astonish as he aimed the attack for the pokemon's side.
Full strength ......

This time the Poochyena wasn't even able to catch him. The dark pokemon smirked, fangs flashing in a grin at the other pokemon. He'd have to try a lot harder then that! A growl emerging from the Umbreon's throat as he charged. Digging small furrows into the ground from his claws, the dark pokemon tossed up dirt leaving it in his path. The Poochyena would move to avoid the attack. His paws would skid across the ground ...as he growled lowly. He was taking a beat, but he wasn't going to drop dead from it ....as his ears would go back against his skull as his tail would swish lightly.
He would try to keep this defense simple as he side steps in the incoming attack.

As he moved forward, he stumbled slightly missing in his attack. Standing back on all four paws, he glared. Should he attack again? No.. better to give the kid a chance to try and win. Growling once in frustration, he took off. No, he needed to keep moving. He wondered how this kid of a Poochyena had managed to have a whole pack. Was there a Mightyena hiding somewhere? He froze, wondering if there really was? Jade would be in danger and he was not having that on his conscious. However small he did have one. Running as fast as he could, he aimed to finish the Poochyena off with this counter attack Tackle! Head against head, that seemed to be the answer ....as the attack came even after the dodge. The poochyena find himself with little choice other than to try and meet that attack with his own ....as he allowed his body to go as clear as crystal as he tries to use Astonish again to avoid this move and hit with his own.
A blurring of a mirage as the pokemon would find that the Poochyena had shifted to the right ......

(19-17) + (12-7) = 7 DMG ; -5 Poochyena With that last counter, the Umbreon stood there as the Poochyena hit the ground with a loud thud. He glared around at the others gathered there, tensed but ready to continue battling if necessary. What was the pack going to do? Was there really a Mightyena in the midst hidden watching and waiting? He could only stand ready, in case something dangerous happened.
