Pidgeotto fell from the sky and smashed into the ground. He got up and tried to take to the air once more. "That's enough Pidgeotto. You did great." Mitsu said as she returned the bird Pokemon into his ball. He objected but remained inside the ball either way.
"Sapphire I choose you!" Mitu said send a Pokeball flying off her finger tips. In a flash of white light and brilliant sparkles a blue Houndoom appeared. He had a feirce and ready look in his eyes. "Ember!" Mitsu said as he spewed flames towards the Skarmory.

Skarmory's wings scalded and burned with the Ember attack as it flapped it's wings vigoressly in attempt to put out the flames. This isn't good. Winona thought to herself. "Skarmory! Air Cutter!" She ordered, the Pokemon slicing the air and sending a sharp current of wind at the Houndoom.

Houndoom was struck. It only added to his fury. He launched more flames without Mitsu telling him too. She hoped that he wouldn't get to much into the battle and cause any fatal wounds, even if she thought the gym leader was a tad bit annoying. "Let's try a Faint Attack!" Mitsu said pointing at the steel bird. "Crush it!" Mitsu shouted.

Winona watched in horror as her Skarmory, (who completely lacked any form of Special Defense) fell to the ground and fainted. "Oh no! Return!" She recalled her Pokemon and snapped it back into place. "Smart move spunky, I seem to have misjudged you. But I will not go down easily, Go Pelliper!" She cried, releasing a rather dopey looking pelican type Pokemon. "Water Gun!" she commanded, the Pelliper shooting a stream of water at the Houndoom.

"Oh great," Mitsu mutter rolling her eyes. "A sea bird." She remembered that they often flew around her home town. She never liked them. "Faint Attack!" Mitsu said. Houndoom was stuck with the Water Gun attack, but retaliated with a Faint Attack.

Key slightly jerked foward as the train came to a stop. While tapping Ty to wake him up he glanced outside at Kanto Station. This was his first time here but it was routine to the passengers flocking off the train.
"It's nice here huh?" he said to Ty as he walked off the train. He walked up the stairs and followed the crowd until he reached the main area. "Wow, I guarantee this is a good place to catch up on training." Key stated as they continued to walk.

Pelliper had just enough time to ready another Water Gun before it was struck by the invisable Houndoom square in the back. "Keep it up Pelliper! You can win this!" Winona shouted some choice words of encouragementat her Pokemon as it fired another aquatic attack.

"Once more Sapphire!" Mitsu said as he prepared another Faint Attack. He was hit with yet another Water Gun. He looked visably weakened, but his fighting spirit and fury kept him going. He howled, not the attack, and attacked with the Faint Attack. "You can do it Sapphire! Take down that dopey bird!"

Upon getting off of the train the first thing that Dante noticed was that it smelled of the sea here. He smiled slightly and took a deep breath of the refreashing sea air. After that he glaced around at the large town. There seemed to be some sort of large building that had lots of people running in and out of it. Making a mental note to vist that when he was through with his gym battle he made his way towards the north side of the city.
Truth be told he was very eager for his first gym battle. Granted he only had one pokemon that would have really any affect on her pokemon he still was confident that he could pull it off. And if not, well he would get valuable experiecne from it. So still carring the sleeping Meowth he walked through the gym doors.

((His first not the first Mitsu.))
"Okay Diglett use your Dig attack!" The trainer shouted as his pokemon dissapeared barely escaping the Tackle Mag had commanded just before. "Great. Okay Tsunami, wait for it to come up then use your Sand Attack on it!"
The Diglett stayed underground for some time but eventually it came up from beneath the ground and hit the Vaporeon from behind. As it was nudged it kicked up sand with its tail and hind legs causing the Diglett to loose some accuracy.
"Now hit it with Tackle Tsunami!" Mag shouted as the pokemon recovered from the hit and rebounded at the small dome. "Use your Scratch attack Diglett!" The other trainer shouted but the Diglett misjudged and attacked too soon so Tsunami ran right into it sending hte Diglett skidding across the ground.

((The *technical* first gym is in Rustboro, and yes, the leader is Roxanne. Because after that, you must go to Dewford with Mr. Briney, then to Slateport to deliver the goods. You may get to the one in Petalburg first, but since you have to come back for it, it isn't the first gym)).

((But then again technically the first Gym you see is in Petalburg, but not the first Gym you fight.))
