Why do I get the feeling that kid has read a certain Japanese tale about a trickster tanuki that fed an unknowing farmer his wife via a stew?

Hi Hobo. I'm pretty good, I had a really eventful night but in a good way. I haven't spoken to you at all lately.
How are you?
Me? Well, the Pokemon Emerald I got for my sister from ebay finally came in the mail today. Though it wasn't in "mint condition" like the listing had said, I was just happy that it arrived and it's in good working condition. And it had the three main legendaries too. I wrapped it up(with a makeshift bow too) and put it in the box of Myst: the Tenth Anniversary Edition, which I also wrapped, and left it by her computer. So that made me feel good.
